Yelp5Unfortunately the business is now closed. You will find the number for the tech that used to do the work by calling the business number listed. Sadly, Joe passed away in April 2022. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/timesunion-albany/name/joseph-greene-obituary?id=34299670. I am simply a customer, and only found out when I needed more work on my garage door. Joe's service was excellent. You can see all the positive reviews here. Joe was pretty open that he had cancer several years ago. Again, I am simply a customer that only spoke to him in the phone. I happened to have some work done in 2021 and he let me know the cancer was back (I asked how he was doing). His tech let me know that was what took his life. I really didn't know Joe but from my interactions that are confirmed by all the positive comments here , Joe was a gentleman and a great business owner.

Google1I gave a deposit for 1/2 of the job quoted in good faith in March, 2021. I have been extremely patient with Mr. Greene and his many excuses about why my garage doors were not in yet. Now, 9 months later, I find out that he took my $1500 and never even ordered the doors. I have sent numerous texts, emails and left several voice mails but have received no response. Small claims court is my next step.

Yelp5Greene Overhead door has done multiple repairs and replaced my door. Always super reliable and does an incredible job. Once our springs broke during a snow storm and they still made it and fixed the door. Very impressed!

Google5Excellent Customer Service! We had our garage door installed over 10 years ago by Greene Overhead Doors. The owner and his staff have exceeded expectations every time I need any service work. I don't write many reviews but felt the need to do so here. Highly recommend them for any garage door needs. True professionals!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!

Google5AWESOME COMPANY! My garage overhead door broke yesterday when I left for work. A company I used before gave me a date 2 weeks from now to come and look at it. I called Greene and spoke to Joe, the owner, around dinner time. He sent Jeff this morning who evaluated and gave me options. It was 20 years old so I decided on a new one. Bill arrived promptly thereafter to install my new garage door opener and showed me how to use it. The whole team was super friendly, professional, and QUICK! If you need this type service don't look anywhere else! You won't be disappointed and I'll recommend them to everyone!

Angi1On inspection quoted 2 prices Friday , $250 plus tax & then after employee contacted boss , $330 plus tax . Would return Monday before noon . Monday I called & asked Mr Green were they coming & for a written estimate . Mr Green said no one ever asked for a written estimate in 5 years . Told me if I didn't trust him " Work with someone else I didn't trust ! " . I thanked him for his time & he hung up . So much for customer service ! Services Rendered: Garage door repair

Angi1Despite repeated attempts to get Joe Greene to come out and quote me the job, over 2 seasons, he has NEVER SHOWN UP nor given me the courtesy of a return call. Services Rendered: Needed to have the rubber seal replaced.

Angi3At first seemed like the problem was corrected, but it didn’t work. Over the phone he told us it would cost 450 dollars and sent a tech. The tech fixed it for nothing and it still makes a loud noise when you close it. I was bothered he made an estimate without coming back himself to see. Services Rendered: Broken garage door

Angi5I was happy with the company. The repairs was outstanding, fast, and professional. Joe Green cleaned up the garage and removed the old garage door opener. I had a brand new Keyless Entry installed by the garage and 2 car controls remote. The company exceeds all customer service expectations. I would recommend Green Overhead Door to my friends. Google5I'm a landlord who received a text from a tenant stating the garage door cable had broken. I contacted Joe via the contact form on their website. Within 15 minutes Joe called me and within 3 hours Joe had a new spring on my door (turns out it wasn't the cable). I never even had to go to the property. Not to mention, I received an email that allows me to pay online! Other companies, take notes here, that's how it's done. Super fast service and easy payment. Highly recommend, thanks again Joe!

Angi5This happened around 8pm. I called and he was at my garage by 8:30. Got the door to close for the night and promised to send someone the next day to fix the problem. He gave me an estimate of the cost. Mr. Greene was prompt, polite, and true to his word. I will use his services if ever there is garage door problem in the future. Services Rendered: Garage door would not open or close but stuck in half-way up.

Google1I was all set to purchase a new opener, and had discussed in depth a particular model with the owner. I set up an appointment and eagerly awaited to get the opener installed. On the day of the install I waited and waited - no one showed up. Got a call days later from the owner and he said he was sorry and booked a new day to install it. On the second install attempt another no-show and this time NO call from the company. Normally I don't write reviews, but since Greene Overhead Door wasted my time not once but twice, I felt compelled to let others know about their truly horrible customer service.

Yelp1I had Greene Overhead door replace some springs on both of my garage doors this November. I set up a specific day and time and waited for the installer. No one showed up and no call from the company. The next day an installer showed up without any heads-up and installed the springs. The work that was performed seemed to be adequate. A month or so later my opener had failed and I spoke to Joe about replacing the unit. We discussed the features and why he recommended a particular model. I set up a time and once again I waited for the installer to show up. 30 minutes late... 1 hour late... 2 hours late... no phone call to update me on the status of the installer. Joe eventually called me back days later and apologized to me that no one had installed the unit due to an employee leaving the company and he was behind in contacting customers. He stated that someone would come out at the beginning of the week. I was looking forward not having to manually open and close the door. Monday rolls around and my appointment was set for 12:00pm. 12:20 pm no installer... guess he is running a little late.... 12:30pm no call hoping he will make it...1:00pm no installer... getting a little aggravated...3:00p 3 hours late, no installer NO CALL FROM THE COMPANY!! Don't see how he can stay in business if he can't even afford the customer the basic courtesy of keeping them informed of what is going and showing up when they say they will.

Joe, the owner, came to my house that day to take a look at my setup as my garage is not standard. He scheduled for next day. Shane was the installer: courteous, professional, knowledgeable. In addition to the install, he balanced, lubricated and adjusted the existing door. Everything was done in 2 hours and he left the place all picked up and clean. Got the LiftMaster WLED and Greene's includes a wireless outdoor keypad with it - that's great! I would recommend these folks to anyone without hesitation. My experience was very positive and I would call them again if I needed garage work done.

Yelp5I had one of the garage door springs break away from its brackets. I called in the afternoon and the repairperson arrived first thing in the morning. Joe had suggested replacing both springs and their associated brackets, wires, etc. to ensure both assemblies would wear at the same rate from the same starting point. The quote I received is what I paid. The job took about 45 minutes.

Yelp1Surprised to find out that they come out to do an estimate, then let me know they "fixed" the problem, without telling me the estimate, only to hit me with a $129 bill to "oil springs." Incredible this company has a high feedback rating.

Google5Called Wed morning and they came right out and the next day I had my new garage door installed when everybody else said 1-2 weeks for a standard size door and mine was not even a standard size but they found a way to make it work. I cant say enough great things about this company . They are the best!

Yelp5A few days ago around 10:00 PM I heard a really loud bang in my garage. Turns out a spring broke on my garage door. Contacted Greene Overhead Door and at 8:00 AM the next morning Jeff was at my house and now if runs better than ever! Could not be more impressed both with the speed of service and the quality.

Yelp5Had Joe and his crew install a door for our carport, price was great and the service was even better. Jim did the installation and it was done quickly and expertly.
