I had two garage doors replace by Koops in late November 2023. I am very pleased. Everything from start to finish was seamless. From scheduling the estimate, scheduling the job, job completion, and cleanup. When hiring a contractor I am always a bit cynical wondering what un-known complications may arise. In my dealings with Koops I was pleasantly surprised the whole process went smoothly with zero complications.
Koops was Great! I left a message for a new garage door opener and was called back in a few hours. They sent Jamie out to give an estimate, he was there before the time expected was friendly and came out the next day to install it was done in no time without incident. I would totally recommend them!!
Great group to work with. Scheduled a time for a torsion spring replacement. Showed up right when they said they would. Quickly got it replaced. Also purchased our door opener from the. In the past. Again great group to work with!
I was referred to Koops after an inquiry amongst my friend group on social media; Koop's was the first business to be mentioned, and also the first to respond to my initial message. I was in need of a new door for a 2 car garage, our existing door had begun to split in the center of the top panel, and we were concerned it could potentially fall if it failed further, risking injury and/or vehicle damage. Ed came out quickly, found options to save us some money, and and was super easy to communicate with through the process of selecting, ordering, and I stalling our door. Immediately after the new door was installed we had neighbors reaching out to find out who did the work; overall it was a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend this family owned business. I had an issue with my garage door opener and remote connection. Called Koops, and appt was made for my convenience. Jamie arrived and fixed my issue within a few minutes. He explained the problem in terms I could understand. Service and repair reasonably priced.
I called Koops around 10am. They returned my call by 11:30am, and I had a tech at my house by 12:45! And it wasn't even an emergency! The work was done quickly and efficiently, and everything was explained to me, including cost before the work was done. Nice guys and quality work! Thank you Koops!

I can't speak highly enough about Koops Doors! I had been to two other businesses trying to give them my money & they were just awful right from the beginning. I finally did a web search and found Koops-what a great day! From the first conversation to the measuring and their patience with me in making my choices, to today-the day of my install (and all the contacts in-between-)they were nothing but top notch. My door is stunningly perfect(thank you Clopay) & the install was quick, clean & professional. I'm looking forward to them work on my parents' house next year. Hire them-you will be glad you did!
Our garage door came crashing down, and I thought we were in for a hefty repair bill, if not a replacement. Nope...Koops to the rescue! They came and fixed it in minutes for a fraction of the estimate! Highly recommend!
Ed koops came to look at our garage doors and fix them for less then another co . Said it would cost. I would use him again in fact he is going to come once a year for maintenance. Not only is he honest but he returned my call and came when he said he would. Good guy.
The top panel of our garage door became separated from its strut and began to bow. The original overhead door co who installed our door said it wasn't fixable, they no longer made that model and our only option was their 'upgraded' version of the same full door- for well over $4000. Ed Koops came by, showed us options for replacement (his company doesn't sell the identical door so that truly was our only recourse), then offered to attach a new strut to the existing top panel to see if that would work as an interim solution. Ten minutes later he knocked on the door and said, "you're not going to need a new door after all." Let me tell you that garage door is reinforced better than Fort Knox right now, and for a very, very reasonable charge. Timely service, quality work, stand up guy. Ed Koops saved us thousands of dollars and we'll never go anywhere else for overhead door service or sales again.

Excellent! We called Monday morning and Ed was there at 1 pm as planned. He immediately identified the problem - old springs on the garage door, which prevented the door from opening. He replaced the springs on that door and our other door. He was polite, very professional, worked efficiently, and removed all the discarded materials. We are very satisfied customers. Replaced the garage doors and openers in my CP house in 2011. The work was high quality and they were professional. Added bonus, Imdid not have to be home for install. I backed into the door in Jan 2014 and they came out and replaced the panels in the snow.
Very quick response after emailing on a Sunday evening after cable broke on our garage door. Technician came the next day. Very professional and done very quickly. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Everything went very well. I called Koops on Wednesday afternoon, and they set an appointment for between 8 and 8:30 the next day. They arrived promptly a few minutes after 8:00, and were very professional. They began work immediately, and fixed the spring on the door, oiled it and also secured a loose sensor. The door works like new. Job was completed in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Koops. Services Rendered: The tension spring on my garage door broke and needed to be replaced.
I called and left a message over the weekend. Monday at 9am I received a call back. They were flexible with my schedule for an appointment, and by Wednesday my garage door was working again! They showed up on time, and the repair was done in under an hour. This is how a well-run business works! I can't say enough about how professional they were from start to finish. The cable on the garage door had broken and we weren't sure who to call. Our daughter suggested we scope out reviews on Yelp to get ideas about reputable garage door service companies. Koops Overhead Doors had glowing reviews on Yelp so I called. Ed Koops returned my call within 30 minutes. He was respectful and professional on the phone and in person. Ed had availability for repairs the following day. When he arrived he inspected all components of our older garage door and recommended we replace both cables. The other cable was also frayed and would eventually break. Ed replaced cables, pulley wheels and applied lubricant to the tracks. He tested everything before leaving. His charge was VERY reasonable considering the distance he had to travel to our home. I will recommend Ed to others needing garage door repairs because he is professional, personable and certainly knows his stuff! Keep up the good work, Ed.
This is THE place to call for your garage door needs. Came home from work to find the torsion spring broke. Left a message after hours and received a call back with 15 minutes. Came out the next morning to fix it. Extremely professional. Bill was exactly as quoted on the phone. Arrived for appointment early and finished very quickly. Even performed routine maintence on the rest of the hardware at no additional cost. Will definately be calling Ed again for any garage door needs and would highly recommmend him.
