Our new home's garage door was purchased from and installed by Garage Door Specialists in July 2015. In December 2015, 6 months after install, the cable came off the roller twice in a week, so we contacted Garage Door Specialists who came to re-wind the cable on the roller. The cable came off the roller again late September 2016. We called Garage Door Specialists as they installed the door and repaired it last time. We thought since it was the same problem as it was last time, they would have just taken care of the repair. However, that was not the case. We were charged for the September service call. We do not feel it is acceptable for 2 service calls within the first 14 months of owning the garage door. When I contacted Garage Door Specialists to discuss the invoice we received, Jean was very rude and unprofessional. Jean would not listen to my questions or concerns and continually cut me off when speaking. The most recent time the cable came off the roller, I was leaving for work. Because the cable was wound up so bad, I could not even use the emergency pull to close the door. I called Garage Door Specialists approximately 10 minutes before they opened, hoping someone would be able to come and at least close the garage door, so I could get to work. I left a message on the emergency line and the call was not returned. I called again shortly after Garage Door Specialists opened and spoke with someone who said he would see if someone would be available to come look at the door. I then asked for them to call me back to let me know, so I wasn't waiting for something that wasn't going to happen. After waiting for 30 minutes without any contact from Garage Door Specialists, I called the office again. The person who answered the call didn't know anything about the situation, so I explained it all again. He put me on hold, and then transferred me to Jean. I began explaining that I was waiting for someone to come and at least close my garage door. Jean cut me off and very rudely told me they were getting ready and would be leaving shortly. I then received a call after waiting another 30 minutes from the tech telling me he was on his way and would be there shortly. They finally showed up after waiting over an hour and a half from the initial contact to fix the door. When the tech arrived I informed him we had a tech out in December 2015 for this same issue and they told us at that time if the cable came off the roller again the tracks may need to be adjusted. Before the tech even looked at the garage door he told me that would not be necessary. He seemed to be in a hurry the entire time he was here and wanting to get to his next job as soon as possible. I realize that would have been a lot of work, which is why I offered numerous times for the tech to just lower our garage door and truly fix it when their schedule allowed.
