The owner of the company, Ivan? came to my house where one of my garage door's electrical openers wasn't working at all. The other garage door, which was a manual door, couldn't be lifted at all. I guess all my questions made him a bit anxious and he said to me, "do you not trust me?" I thought it was a great bit of actual honesty. I replied, "no, not at all, I just like to know as much as possible about what is going to be done." Maybe, in retrospect, I was a bit suspicious and didn't realize it, that's what happens when you've been a landlord for over twenty years and have to deal with all kinds of dishonest repair people. In about an hour Ivan had everything fixed. I wasn't even expecting him to do the work right then, but he did, and the price seemed reasonable. I don't have anything to compare it to as I had just moved to Binghamton, but as I said, the price seemed fair, he was very competent and explained everything he did after he was finished, which was a nice touch. I would definitely hire him again.
Not only did Choice do a great job replacing our garage doors. But several weeks after we had paid for the job Ivan called my husband and said he had overcharged us and sent us a check for over $400! We have worked with many contractors over the years and we have never had such an honest one and our doors look and work great!
