Friendly staff who answer the phones. They do their best to get you scheduled when you need service. The repairman, Jeff was so kind and courteous. He apologized for being a bit past the scheduled appointment time. But the job before us took a bit longer than expected. (It happens). We've used them in the past and will continue to use them. Our jobs are small but we still get great service

Great, friendly service! Called to confirm the time beforehand and arrived on time. They had to fabricate a new spring for our giant door, and they were back in a couple days to install it - sooner than I expected.
My garage door would not go all the way up on the Saturday before Easter. So I called to set up an appointment for repairs. As it turned out I needed a replacement motor. So I agreed to replace the motor. Then I was told that I needed an electrician to install a plug for the motor. I live in a historical home where nothing is easy when it comes to repairs. However, David called me and assured me that he would send an electrician out to my home to complete the job. I cannot thank David enough for handling a difficult situation and putting my mind at ease. Today I have a working garage door, and I will definitely recommend Overhead Door to others! This company is awesome! My garage door would not open on March 3, 2021. At 7 am that morning, I called Overhead Door Company in Birmingham and a most helpful lady named Carole took my call. I told her I needed the door fixed same day & she assured me they could do that for me. She told me would call me back in an hour to let me know when the service technician would be there. She was true to her word & called to let me know when to expect him. The technician Tommy called me when Carole said he would to let me know he would be at my home in 30 minutes & he arrived on time. He listened as I explained what happened & then thoroughly investigated my garage door to determine the reason why it was not working. .He then explained it to me completely, did the work in a timely manner & was most professional & kind. I couldn't have asked for better treatment from this company & will definitely call them again if needed as well as recommend them to others. Kudos to Carole & Tommy
They did a great job, doors look really good. And the install is perfect. Be prepared for some COVID delays from the manufacturer, that was a pain. But that isn't really Overhead Door related at all. Everything on their end was handled very professionally. I couldn't be happier, same for my wife. We had to be a little patient, but it really paid off. Very happy with the end result.
Great! All that was wrong was the sensors and the technician (wish I could remember his name) fixed the problem so quickly. He was great! Overhead Door originally installed our doors when we built our house 20 years ago. This is only the 2nd time to need a repair and it was quickly taken care of. Highly recommend this company. Guy from overhead tried to charge me $649 to change a whole system when the issue was logic board. This is my 3rd review. Their pricing is unfair and a ripoff. The guys name is Scott. I plan to do a review on BEtter Business Bureau website if none of my reviews make it on this site. Businesses should be fair and transparent. If one of my review don't show up in 48 hrs then only fair to go a different route.
The service tech was not given all of the details of why we called for service so he did not have all parts needed to fix our problem. Despite that, he was very diligent and located the necessary parts on the truck of another installer for the company and went to obtain those and returned to completely resolve our problem that day. I was extremely pleased with his diligent efforts and will recommend the company in the future as well as them being my "go to" company whenever I may have issues with a garage door or garage door opener in the future. Very pleased customer!

Person on the phone was very helpful to identify our problem. After a few days, we realized that the garage motor did not have a light bulb in it. I called to report it. I was told that they do not install the light bulbs. We were very disappointed. After 90 minutes from my phone call we had someone come out and put in a new light bulb.
The initial consultation was quick and easy, with only one problem - we had two panels that were bent. I could only tell one was bent, and the worker who came out to check on the problem missed that the second panel was bent. When the installation worker Kevin came, he was very quick, arrived a couple minutes early, did not scratch or damage anything in the garage, and completed the job properly. He did lack professionalism, as I overheard him cursing out of anger while he was working inside the garage. He was the worker that pointed out that our second panel was bent, and due to this being bent the garage door still has a slight gap. To fix this would not only cost another panel but an additional labor charge that could probably have been saved by having both installed at once. Overall the company seemed like a good company, and I appreciated they had the door panels in stock to keep the wait time at a minimum. They also installed two very high quality struts to brace the doors from being bent in the future, a touch I really appreciated. The lack of professionalism from cursing in the garage and the initial worker not noticing we would need to fix the second panel is the reasoning for my "C" grade in professionalism category. Services Rendered: Replacement of a panel of a garage door that was bent badly and prevent the door from operating.
First set date 5 days later but called back and came 3rd day. Competent service man did a good job at very fair price. Services Rendered: Repaired broken spring and other parts on garage door.
This company and it employees never disappoint and are incredible. We are a distributor in the Bessemer, AL area. They are the only company that has ever worked on all of our roll up bay doors. The customer service they give is hands down awesome. From the phone call, to schedule the appointment, to the service technician arriving and handling our needs swiftly and promptly. I would recommend them over and over again. Also, their pricing is very reasonable. I have found over the years that Cheap service isn't good, and Good service isn't cheap. Thank you guys!!!!
