I have an Overhead door brand opener. It stopped working. I called for service, but they were scheduled out a good ways in advance. I made an appointment for Feb 21st 2022. Technician came out and said gear had worn out. Didn't have part on the truck and suggested replacement of the entire unit. I called into the shop and they said that part was very hard to find. I found a few on eBay, Amazon, and at a sister Overhead Door company online. I called back to the shop to see if I should order it, but they insisted that they could get the part from the sister store and then repair the unit. I have called back every two weeks, but get no one to answer the call. I have left messages each time, but no response. I called again today, April 6, 2022, and left another message. I would like a response so I know if I need to seek someone else to repair the door at least. I will definitely be updating this review in another two weeks. I hope everyone is okay at this company. It seems strange that 6 weeks have gone by with no response.
UPDATE: Technician showed up unannounced on April 8, 2022 with the needed part. He quoted $50 for the part, which was $21 online. I understand shipping costs but still asked for a discount. He lowered the cost to $40, and he quickly installed the part. He checked the spring and greased up the door and it is working great now. I'm glad everyone is okay.
