Our garage door jammed in a crooked, half opened position. We contacted two or three local repair companies through Yelp. Childers was the only one to respond, and they did so immediately. After a couple of message exchanges to better determine the nature and extent of the problem, we set up an appointment. Nathan, the technician, was prompt, friendly and professional, despite the initial stages of the COVID-19 voluntary quarantine. Nathan quickly determined the problem to be a couple of broken clips. None appeared to be in stock, so we ordered the replacements, knowing it could take 2-3 weeks. Meanwhile, Nathan took it upon himself to do a physical search when he returned to the warehouse - and found the parts we needed! He was back the next day to finish the repair. While he was at it, he oiled the tracks to eliminate an horrendous squeal, advised me how to maintain that, adjusted the bottom seal where door met concrete and advised how to maintain that, and adjusted the wall switch. Throughout, Nathan was cheerful and efficient, even complimenting us on the overall condition of our 10-year-old door. He and Childers went above and beyond during a stressful time.

I called Chiders about an older garage door being off track, wheels off, gaps, not gliding....a real mess. They came out to the country and called when they were on the way. Rather than trying to talk me in to a new door, they fixed my old one. It hasn't worked this well since I moved here. Thank you!

I purchased a new garage door from Childers about 3 months ago when the tech said it wasn't worth fixing the current door. We reluctantly agreed to replace the 2 car garage door as well as the single car garage stall (because they have to match of course). Total cost was higher than we expected but we felt more comfortable hearing how durable the doors are and they come with a 2 yr protection against defects. My wife recently noticed that the bottom panel wasn't staying connected to the other panel (best I can describe it) and that it had developed a crack. After notifying Childers, they sent a tech out. We were disappointed that there was some dispute over what had caused the crack to occur and whether or not it would be covered by the warranty. After some give and take from both sides we eventually reached an agreement to resolve the situation. I recognize that not every consumer is truthful in their dealings and that Childers must examine anything before it can be determined defective. I didn't enjoy that part of my experience though. I am happy to have the situation resolved and believe that Childers acted in good faith through the process.

Jeremy from Childers came to fix our garage door and did a great job. Fast, professional, knowledgeable, experienced ( Like 20 years), and courteous. I am very pleased with the results. I would recommend Jeremy from Childers. And we had talked with others. He was the most detailed in his assessment of the problems too!

I picked up a garage door opener at Menard's and had them install it. It's great watching someone work who doesn't have to and quot;redoand quot; steps. Services Rendered: Installed a garage door opener

We had a very old double garage door (30 + years old) and a new opener (15+ years old) as well as a rather large side window replaced in the garage. We chose a Raynor garage door because of the insulation qualities and warranties. We also purchased the LiftMast garage door opener, belt drive. Both were installed without any instances and makes a world of difference in the appearance of our home. Jarrod was there to help walk us through all of the various technical questions and more than happy to share the color swatches he had available so we could select just the right color for our new door. We are very pleased with their service and workmanship and will indeed contact them for future service. Services Rendered: Childers provided us with a Ranyor garage door, new door opener and window.

Called to request a quote to get torsion springs replaced on garage door. Lady on phone told me $189.00. When making appointment I chose the day but was not given a service window, I was told the tech would call prior to arriving. I waited at home until 1pm and had not heard anything yet so I called back and asked if they would be able to provide a time frame now since it was later in the day. I was told they had no idea how far along the tech was and he would call before coming, but if I needed to leave and wasn't home when the tech called he would just move on and I would need to re-schedule. Tech did call about an hour later and then quickly arrived. He was very friendly and completed the work quickly. I asked the tech if I needed to pay him directly and I was told I would be billed. About a week later I received a bill for $240.00. The prices of the two springs plus the service call did come to $189 but the other misc. parts needed to do the job bumped it up to $240. The total price however was about $20 cheaper than other quotes I received from other local businesses. In summary the actual installation of the parts went smoothly and the tech was very friendly. I did not have a good experience with the price quote or the scheduling.
