On Sunday October 13th one of my garage door springs broke. I didn't know it was broken. So, when I tried to open the garage door with the opener a gear in the motor stripped out trying to lift the door without the help of the springs. The gentleman asked if I minded if he came out on Monday the 14th because he had some previous plans for Sunday. I thought, wow. I was thrilled he answered the phone on Sunday let alone never thought of asking if he would come out that day. I said, "that would be great." They arrived on time the next day and quickly replaced the spring. Upon trying the garage door we realized there were more problems. They discovered the stripped gear and said it would probably take 2 weeks to get the part. The next day I found the paperwork for my opener and called the manufacturer about the stripped gear. They informed me that my opener had a lifetime warranty on the motor and they would send a new motor out ASAP. I called Screaming Eagle and told them I was getting a new motor. When it arrived I called Screaming Eagle and they came back the next day and replaced the motor. ($20.00). Great price to come out and replace the motor. I am very pleased with the work done by Screaming Eagle and would recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair work!!! Services Rendered: I called Screaming Eagle to fix the broken spring, not knowing the gear was now stripped out in the motor.
This firm was recommended by a friend for whom they had done a large custom fit door on a barn. Got the owner himself on the phone first try and set up a meeting at our home for the next day. Steve was prompt and business-like. He was willing to refurbish the old door system if we wanted (at my suggestion) so he wasnt pushing to sell us a door. He did explain why a new system would be better, gave us some prices and left us to mull it over a few days. We had a new door, track opener and all the trimmings installed in a few hours the following week, which I felt was fast given that the door has to be ordered. To be fair we didnt get any other bids as we thought the price fair, we had the personal reference, and wanted to deal w a local business. Its been a month and so far we are very happy with the system! Services Rendered: remove old 16' steel garage door, track hardware and opener. Installed new door track hardware seals and opener
