We've had Chelmsford Garage Door come out twice for repairs to our existing garage doors and both experiences were fantastic. They are very responsive, sending a team out quickly, and the quality of work is excellent. Andrew explained everything he needed to do, and got us up and running in no time. They've helped us get the most of our current doors, and we'll certainly be using them when the time comes for new ones!

I recently had a wonderful experience with Chelmsford Garage Door. Over the weekend, the torsion springs on my overhead garage door failed. The door was too heavy for me to open it on my own and my wife's car was stuck inside. I called around left messages at several local companies. It was Sunday on a nice summer weekend, so I wasn't too surprised. What did surprise me was the responsiveness from the team at Chelmsford Garage Door. They understood the situation and made a point to help us get the car out of the garage. They were extremely helpful, polite, and professional. I would like to send my gratitude to Don and his team at Chelmsford Garage Door for going above and beyond.

Here are a few observations. The crew was great and I don't fault them for any of the things I experienced. I was told I had an appt at 11. At 11:30 I called to see where they were and was told it was actually a range between 11 and 1. That was not made clear when I initially called and it kind of screwed up my schedule. I was looking for an estimate on a repair and was given an absolutely outrageous figure. Not sure I can go into specifics but it was about 5 minutes in labor, $5 in parts and the estimate was over $200. I politely declined and was told I was going to be charged $175 just for the visit WHICH I WAS NOT TOLD WHEN I CALLED. I grudgingly agreed to the work because I figured I'd be paying for most of it regardless. I was a bit ticked to be honest. So they do the work in less than 5 minutes, swell, and then we get to the payment. Cash or check only so make sure you can find either one beforehand. Really need a credit card option. The work was done correctly, as simple as it was and as I said before, the crew was great. If they weren't I likely would have thrown them out and told them to sue me for the $175.

My elderly father called to ask a question about the service he received. The woman who answered the phone raised her voice and spoke to him very aggressively and threatened to sic her husband on him. So the husband called my elderly and sickly father and yelled at him as well. It breaks my heart that my father had to go through that stress because he is not in good condition and he is one of the gentlest men who has ever walked this earth. I hope they record calls so they can pull the call and see how kind my dad was despite their nasty cruel attitudes. Lesson learned: do not patronize Chelmsford Garage Door!

Came out same day on Friday. Saw one of the springs was broken. Had them replaced on Monday. Did not oversell, and told me how I need to maintain the garage door every 4-6 months with wd40.

I don't write many reviews, but I wanted to go out of my way to say that the team from Chelmsford Garage Door is excellent! My mother's door was not working correctly so I reached out for help and she and I are both delighted. Everyone was very friendly, the technician was right on time, and the work was completed very efficiently without needing a second trip. I would not hesitate to recommend Chelmsford Garage Door based on this experience.

My wife and I checked with several garage door companies and eventually decided to go with Ron at Chelmsford Garage Door because he gave good advice. There are so many options to choose from and we needed some guidance. He did not steer us toward the more expensive model, in fact we ended up spending way less than we budgeted and we are glad we did. The order and scheduling took about 3 weeks. The door we got looks exactly like we want, is operating great and now we can finally use our garage the way it was intended (for our cars!) because the old, decrepit door is gone. Excellent experience! The initial contact on the phone was great and professional. The gentlemen showed up when they were supposed to and called prior to their arrival as promised. The work was done quickly. The price was acceptable. I would definitely call them again. Services Rendered: Repaired broken wires on garage door sensors. I hired Chelmsford Garage Door to replace our garage door opener, which had been broken since before I moved in 7 years ago. They arrived 30 minutes early -which was great- with all the parts they would need to do the job. I expected the job to cost around $340. However, they inspected the current system and noticed that one of the sensors had fallen off the wall. Instead of replacing the whole system, they immediately performed the repair and only charged me $100. System is as good as new and they were done in 15 minutes.
