--Warning-stay clear-- One the employees of Salem Overhead Door company did massive damage to my property and are refusing to take responsibility. They are not disputing the accident, not disputing that their driver was cited multiple times by the police, and not disputing that they did the damage. They are just instructing their insurance agent to not pay any damages for the what they did. No reason was given. You gotta be a special kind of people to do that and still hold yourself out to be a respectable company. It goes without saying that if you hire Salem Overhead you better pray that nothing bad ever happens and everything works perfect because you will have to hire an attorney before they do anything that resembles a respectable action. Thank God Im not asking them to back up a warranty claim. Find another company..

Everyone at Salem Overhead Door was great. From start to finish I was treated with respect. They said they wanted to get everything done to my satisfaction and they did. The owner came out a couple of times too to resolve the problem that I was having with my new garage door. Attentive, sincere, customer service like this is what makes for a good business. I'm so glad I chose them for the job!

If I could give this company more stars I would! I was shopping from out of state for 2 garage doors for my dad who lives in Beverly. The service, efficiency, thoroughness, and quality of the product was above and beyond expectations. And, they are the most accommodating business I have ever encountered. I highly recommend Salem Overhead Door. Give them a call. You won't regret it.

If you need a "QUALITY" garage door seal this is the place! The Owner is a Great Gentleman, fun to speak with and the Ladies that run the Office are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Had a problem with the door not closing. Did some troubleshooting on my own without success. Called Salem Overhead, spoke with the owner, Bill, and he talked me through to the solution. Saved me a service call and $155. Can't do better than that on customer service. Highly recommend Salem Overhead Door. Thanks Bill.

We just had both garage doors replaced by Salem Overhead and they did an awesome job. Bill helped us pick out just the right doors and didn't try to steer us into something that was unreasonably priced for what we needed. The new doors are beautiful and the installation was quick and professional. I would definitely recommend them and would call them again in the future.

Bill was very helpful when I called and explained that as my overhead door was lifting, a large spring broke away, slammed into my garage wall, and fell to the floor. Bill promptly arranged for an appointment that same day. He also told me what parts would be replaced and the total cost involved. Technicians arrived well within the quoted time frame, diligently made the repairs, and left the area clean. I'm very pleased with their overall service. Services Rendered: Installation of 1 pair 25 x 110 extension springs and 1 pair safety cables for extension spring set-up

Light was broken. A neighbor couldn't remove bulb it was in the socket so tightly. The only way he could remove the bulb was to break it. He couldn't put another bulb in. Salem Overhead came the next day. The worker asked me why I didn't call them since it was under warranty. He reattached a plug and we argued about the poor way the bulb was in the socket. He told me to call the owner and abruptly left. The owner denied the unit was warrantied and denied his worker told me it was under warranty. I told him I would not work with anyone who called me a liar. The bulb is still not working (5/1) and I've hired another company. Both companies I called after Salem Overhead told me Salem has the worst reputation in this area. Services Rendered: attached a plug

During the winter our garage doors were giving us problems. SOD came out and did a great job replacing parts on our 35 year old door. There was no pressure to purchase new ones - just helpful hints about how to keep our old doors running. We knew it was time to replace and went to the showroom to pick out new doors. Bill was so patient and walked us through the pros and cons of different doors. Again no sales pressure. We choose the doors and even had them installed backwards because we preferred the look. They were so professional and did an amazing job adding some flexible trim to seal the doors. The installers were excellent. We felt the pricing was fair and the results were great. We highly recommend Salem OH Door. Services Rendered: Installed new garage doors and previously fixed old garage doors

They arrived, looked at it, apparently took some measurements as well but left stating that they needed parts and couldn't fix it at that time. However, they did charge for their time ($90). I felt mislead because now they wanted to return with parts and charge for another visit when I was led to believe 1 visit was all that was necessary. When I called, they explained that this sometimes happens and that I didn't explain the problem properly. They did not explain that a snapped cable typically involves other parts (as the competitor contractor was easily able to do over the phone without seeing it). They did not offer to apply the visit charge to the overall job cost. I've already called a competitor who is able to view the job for a lesser fee but will apply that fee to the job cost if selected. So essentially, only if they're not selected, will they charge that fee. Services Rendered: The provider was supposed to repair/replace a snapped cable. They do not provide free estimates but said the job would cost $150 because they'd repair it when they visit because they have the parts they need on the truck.
