Guido was awesome. He answered the phone the first time I called, quickly came by for a look and provided an estimate, was patient as it took us 6 months to decide on what we wanted, answered random questions along the way, and when we were finally ready to go, so was he. He showed up early on installation day and worked quickly and efficiently to beautifully install this door. It's silent and solid and safe. What an improvement! Through all this he was respectful and kind and so easy to work with. Thank you, Guido.
Highly recommended!!! Came out and replaced my springs on garage door. Explained to me in detail about the issue I had with existing spring. Great customer service. I definitely will be using them again if I have any issues with my garage door in the future.
Golden Isles Garage Doors was awesome to work with and gave us a beautiful, quiet, custom garage door for our home. We ordered a single door in a specific Sherwin Williams color with obscure glass windows. Guido and Joy were a delight to work with: professional, courteous and responsive. Pricing was competitive. Due to production times and our door being a custom color, it had a longer eta and Joy responded to all my check ins and questions. Guido installed everything quickly (new motor, track, door, etc) and the work is awesome. The old door and windows were hauled away leaving a quiet and well-sealed door in its place.
I can't rave enough about Golden Isles Garage Doors' service and professionalism! I called Guido at 8 am (he ANSWERED), and he arrived as promised that afternoon to evaluate. (And remembered to text as requested when on his way. Little stuff like that matters!) I wasn't surprised that our 20-year-old unit needed replacing (control board was shot). But I was blown away when Guido told me that the budget-friendliest option (my request) would be for me to pick up an opener (he specified an affordable one on sale at Lowe's), which he would install the next day for an insanely reasonable price. He just finished my install and I couldn't be happier! His work was precise and pristine, and he carted the old equipment, as well. I posted a "fab local tradesperson find" rave on my neighborhood FB page, and LO and behold -- there were many Guido fans already among us. Before leaving, he gave me technical advice and equipment recommendations for a luxury project on Sea Island, which was beyond thoughtful. Golden Isles Garage Doors is my official go-to for garage door work locally -- they're that rarely-seen combination of professionalism, personability and know-how that is always a pleasure to work with.
I have used 2 other garage door companies locally. Golden Isles company is the best. Guido's service beats all. All times that I have used him he gets there when he says and does superquality work !!
Left one remote for a three car garage, when we requested a second one were told no. However, manufacturer states two per garage door opener and two garage doors were installed, so we should have received four remotes. Control panel for garage doors was located at the bottom of the stairs, floor level, requiring us to hire someone to relocate that to the proper height. I have added pictures of the poor workmanship. When requesting for them to return and take care of it, we were told that they were done with the job.
This should be your choice for garage door repairs. I called Golden Isles Garage Doors after a cable snapped. Guido (the owner) asked me to text my address to his phone and said he would come to me in 20 minutes after finishing up the call he was on. 19 minutes later he was there. He fixed my door making and replacing both cables, lubricated everything and made the door so much quieter than before. And he being the owner, and not a worker from a giant company, charged me much less than I thought the bill would be. The thing is I had my garage door serviced less than three weeks before by a different company from Brunswick who replaced broken springs. Their "thorough" inspection missed the corroded cables so I wasn't going to call them again. So I searched for an alternative repair service. I'm so happy I found Guido he also found a major problem with the other company's work so they had to come back and fix their botched work. Guido also told me how much he charges for new springs and he was $200 cheaper that the other company. I now have a new garage door repair man. Fast, reliable and fair pricing.
