A cable broke in my garage and Tomer was at my house within 15 minutes of my call. He is knowledgeable, personable and honest and quoted me $100 less than 2 other places I called. I'm very pleased to have found this company.
Has the 5-star name for a reason. I woke up to a broken garage door spring. Other companies, even those saying they had 24/7 emergency service, didn't answer, but Tom did. Within an hour, he came over to inspect the issue and make the fix.
Tom is awesome! My garage door broke on Saturday. I contacted him then and made an appointment for him to come out on Monday (Sunday was Easter). He arrived when he said he would but needed a part. He came back later the same day and fixed my garage door at the price he quoted me. He even insisted on replacing a broken light in the opener. I wish all home repairs went this easily.
I found 5 Star Garage Door on Yelp. My experience matched the fantastic reviews I had read on Yelp. As everyone said, he came out the day after my call and fixed the issue that day (a missing spring and rusty rollers). Showed me how I only needed minor repairs rather than a new garage door. Very professional and skilled. I would highly recommend. Old garage door looks and sounds brand new.

I messaged him Thursday night and he responded with availability the next morning, though that did not work for me so he came the following morning and on time. He also gave me a heads up on when he will be arriving the morning of the appointment. After arriving he inspected the garage and pointed out some things that I may want to keep an eye on over the next year or so. He then began replacing both springs and explaining everything and more. He finished the job in a very timely manner and also lubricated all the appropriate areas. Garage is working like new and quieter than before. Garage door spring snapped. Tom was there within 3 hrs and had it running an hour later. Highly recommend.
Exceptional services and Tom (the owner) REALLY knows what he is doing. Called late Thursday night as my garage was making some rly weird noise (and loud). Tom answered through text and got my quote and scheduled the appointment within 10 minutes. Tom shows up on Saturday on-time, diagnost the problem immediately, and gave me a run down of what's going on and presented me with a few options. Got my approval and Tom went to work and have repair + maintance completed within an hour. He proceed to give me a VERY DETAILED run down of what he did while giving me a few tips and tricks that are very informative and useful for homeowners. A truely 10/10 experience.
I called 5 Star Garage Door late on a Friday afternoon after my garage door stopped opening, trapping my car inside. Within a few minutes I received a call, and they were able to come early in the morning on Saturday to take a look. The spring had broken, and both needed to be replaced. I received a very detailed explanation of the work, as well as the warranty on the new springs and about how many times a garage door can open / close before likely needing new springs. They also adjusted the chain and lubricated the track so that it is now very quiet when opening and closing. I'm really impressed with their responsiveness, thorough explanation of the work needed before doing anything, as well as giving me a price for parts and labor before starting the work, and the overall friendliness. Super personable and very, very pleased with the effort. Will definitely recommend!
Called Tom Tuesday, arrived Wednesday morning, fixed mechanical issue with garage door in a couple of hours and works great!! Even gave us a tip on why our remote door opener wasnt functioning properly and now it opens with just one press! Very knowledgebale and efficient. Thank you very much
We were having an issue with our garage door closing properly. I called, spoke with the owner Tom, and he was at our house 3 hours later. He answered all our questions, guided us toward the most affordable solution, and was very friendly and professional. Then he was able to complete the work including replacing damaged parts immediately. I wish all trades were like Tom. Many thanks.
Garage door would occasionally get stuck as it raised. It also seemed excessively loud, which made me think something was...off. I contacted another company-- he essentially sprayed some lubricate and claimed it was better. He must have opened and closed the door 50 times during the hour plus duration that he spent working on it and each time he would look to me for approval, claiming it was getting better. It wasn't. A few days later, I still had my reservations about the door, so I looked up and called Tom at 5-Star. He was awesome, came out the next day and IMMEDIATELY knew what was wrong after opening and closing the door once. He set about actually adjusting the hardware, not just spraying lube and he was done up within 15 mins. My only regret was not making 5-Star my first call, it would have saved me the money I spent on the other company. Highly recommend.

This morning my garage got stuck opening up, and jammed up about 6" above the ground. I took a look and found that a cable snapped. I took some pictures, did a search on yelp for my area, and picked the person with the highest and most reviews to send me a quote. I had an option to get other quotes from Yelp (sorry google) , which I did. I had 5 companies responding to me within about 10 minutes, and Tom from 5 star was one of them. What was great about him was that while others were quoting me labor rates, parts costs, and estimated times....in other words leaving the door open to more costs...Tom looked at the pics and gave me a price. Better yet, it was the lowest. I'm always open to paying more if issues come up, but assuming the pics covered all the issues (in this case a snapped cable), I don't see any need for vagueness in pricing...so Tom giving me a clear fixed price with a parts list wast awesome! So on top of what I mentioned above, Tom came out the same day, wore gloves throughout, had a mask on throughout, and kept social distance...real professional. I also took the opportunity to get both of my garages serviced while he was here for only $25 more. When all was said and done, everything worked great, and we chit chatted for several minutes. Learning a little more about him, it felt even better doing business with him. Hard worker, professional, and knowledgeable....and a pleasant person all around. So his business card is now on my bulletin board, which will save me time in the future should any garage issues ever arise. Great job Tom, or Tomar (as the other reviews state). #lovesmallbusiness
