My garage door opener broke, and I made two calls. First was to a number that popped up first in my google search, but I got a kind of strange, scammy feeling from the website. The second was to Rumi Co. I ended up having both come out just to get a couple quotes. The first company had a guy come out who was perfectly nice, but said the only solution he had was to replace the whole thing for $575-1000, depending on what opener I wanted. The next morning, Rumi Co. came out, took a look at the issue for all of about ten seconds, and said he could fix it for under $200. Needless to say, we were happy to go for that option, and maybe a half hour later he was done and it's good as new. So happy we made that second call and will call Rumi Co for any future needs!
A very reliable service provider. Honest and reasonably priced. So far I have used them for two garage door opener replacements and replacement of a broken spring. Always on time and job done perfectly.
The guys over at Rumi were an amazing help! My original garage door unit is just shy of 20 years old. We all know that is the life span of these lift master garage door units. The technician came out to my house in a few hours notice and was able to diagnose the issue within minutes. Instead of going straight to the most expensive sales option and replacing it with a new one he gave me an option to replace a few damaged components that weren't nearly as costly as getting a new one. I was able to have my garage door in working order within a few hours! Highly recommend these guys for all of your garage door needs. From installs to repairs! Awesome people to work with.
07/13/21 was the second time we used Mike & Rumi Co. After today I was reminded why we called on him again to repair our garage. Great customer service & fair pricing. Called last night & he was able to get me in this morning. Can't stress enough how amazing his service is. We will call again & continue to send referrals.
I can see why Mike from Rumi has so many 5 star reviews. Even during this time of isolation he came out the day after I called and identified the issue I had with a 15 year old broken garage door cable and spring. He drove to Tinley Park the next morning to get the needed parts and had repaired my door by noon that day. Very courteous and easy to deal with.
One of our garage door springs broke as we were opening the garage door in the morning trapping two cars in the garage. We called Rumi Garage Door Company and they responded very quickly. The garage door spring broke at approximately 8:15 AM and by 10:30 AM they had replaced both springs and even lubricated the garage door hinges so that the door operates much more smoothly and quietly Services Rendered: Garage door spring broke.
A great experience with Rumi Garage Door Co.! Showed up on time and was very courteous/professional. Explained the issues I was having in our initial correspondence and they explained a couple of options they may have to do as a means to fix the opener. After looking at the opener it ended up being a simple fix and they were on their way in 15 minutes. Very respectful, honest and good pricing. I would not hesitate to use them again!

The cost of $1,275 included replacing and upgrading all three door openers with top tier Lift Master openers, alignment and miscellaneous adjustments to doors and tracking, and installation of an outside wall mounted door access box. Services Rendered: This summer, 2016, we decided to replace our very old, chain driven garage door openers. We have three doors and replaced all three openers, changing from chain to belt driven. The service we received was excellent, fast, and very reasonably priced. Services Rendered: Our garage door jammed in the open position because the rollers went off the track. As a result, portion of the door track became bent. The provider responded within 1 hour of our call and repaired the door track, tightened up the cables, lubricated everything, and got the door functioning properly in 15-20 minutes.
As with other reviewers, outstanding service. All I needed was a retainer, had two other firms suggest a new bottom panel. Price wasn't an issue, but I called Mike just to see if he could repair it.
