Had them out to replace a torsion spring on one of the garage doors and a couple of minor repairs to another two. Finished the job quickly and efficiently. Couldn't find anyone local so was happy he was willing to come this far South. Definitely recommend

Double garage door dropped down on one side and froze in place 1/2 way up. The cable had come off the spool and wrapped around the spring rod. I phoned Gem and scheduled an appointment with David. He arrived at the time we discussed and was friendly, fast and knowledgeable. The door was fixed expertly and he took care of some things that may present future problems. I highly recommend Gem and David for your garage door problems!
Gem Garage Door is great!! David was super helpful and knowledgeable when my husband called to ask him about installing a new door for us...even helped give feedback on picking a better door for durability and performance. He arrived promptly for the installation and had it all wrapped up in four hours. He gave great tips about maintenance and what hardware to think about not using, and even came back to take the old door to scrap since we didn't have a way to haul it. GEM Garage Door Repair installed two garage door openers on our detached garage today. David was very professional and was very pleasant to work with. He came prepared with everything he would need to accomplish the job and did great quality work. He did not try to oversell us on anything, but pointed out where we could get good quality products for cheaper online. I called David yesterday and explained my dilemma. He told me that he would be here at 9 am. At 8:59, he was pulling in my driveway. Can't get any better than that.. most companies give you a 2 or 4 hour window, so you are stuck sitting around wasting your precious time. Once he arrived, he sized up my situation and made the repair. He was very cordial and explain what and why he was doing, each step of the repair. Once the repair was made, David noticed a few minor discrepancies that could cause issues down the road, and corrected them. Once the discrepancies were corrected, he did several operational check and made sure that both, he and I, were satisfied with the final product. Funny thing, I was satisfied, but he wasn't... so he made the necessary corrections and adjustments. Now the scary part.. the BILL... While I was biting my nails, he presented me the final cost, which was MUCH less than I had expected. The whole time he was here, David was polite and professional. I will be having him back ASAP to install new openers on my doors. Additionally, I will be having him install a new overhead door once I close in my carport. Service was excellent and the price was right!! I would recommend GEM to anyone with garage door needs. I will definitely be using GEM for all of my future overhead door wants and needs. David genuinely cared about my situation and his final product, a quality that is rare in today's world of business. Thanks again GEM, I'll be using your services again real soon!!!
