Third time using Homenik Door Co.. Garage door stopped working yesterday. Called them late morning and Frank was here at 8 a.m. next morning. Great guy and very competent/experienced. Took him 20 minutes to diagnose and repair the door. So easy. Highly recommend them and will be my first call for a similar issue.

I had not done business with this company in the past yet they took the time to research my issue, offer solutions and had the parts onsite to help me get my door up and running. Our house was built in 2005 and Homenik installed the first set of garage doors and openers. Since they installed the first set, I called them to replace everything in 2022. Since installation, I had to call them out 3 times in a few months for noise in the doors and the motors and other issues. On the last visit, the repair person brought in a huge spray bottle of regular WD40 and stated that my doors just needed to be liberally sprayed every 3 months. After he left, the doors and motors were still noisy, so I decided to call another company for an opinion. I was told is that the doors and the openers were not installed properly. The rails holding the openers and doors were pulling away from the ceiling and the angles were wrong. The openers are supposed to hang straight down. I was also told that the doors as hung were dangerous and not "balanced". I was shown the dangerous part when he released the doors and they slammed to the floor. Homenik did take back their doors and openers, but with a stipulation that if the new company even touched the doors I would not get a penny back of the $4488.00 that I paid. I ordered the same doors and openers, and when the new company came to install the doors, I noticed that the packaging was different. I was also given 2 owners manuals in plastic bags with an additional rope. I did not get that from Homenik, so I am guessing that the doors that they installed were used given the other issues with the doors. My new doors are perfect and I have zero complaints with the second company. The second company additionally gave me a can of garage door lubricant and told me that WD40 is not indicated for garage doors.

Frank was very polite, friendly, and efficient. He replaced our broken torsion spring and did some maintenance in well under half an hour. He called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way which I really appreciated. Great service and fairly priced, I will definitely recommend Homenik to our neighbors in the future.

This is the second time since 2014 that HOMENIK DOOR COMPANY has come to my rescue! THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH JOSH! Your schedule was FULL yet you had me hold to check where your workers were; and MIKE was near me on his way to work. It was a pleasure meeting MIKE who was personable, EFFICIENT, shared info, and showed me what I did that caused my problem. I SURE APPRECIATE YOUR HELP. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MIKE. All night all I could think of was how much it would cost (especially at the end of the year); but it ended up being JUST an $80 service charge. I say this because of previous reviews. I am retired and 70+ years on a fixed income; but you cannot expect these people to work for FREE! A representative came out the same day I called. He was knowledgeable and professional. The price was very good and was made even better thanks to an Angie’s List coupon on the new door opener. The process went smoothly from start to finish. The door and opener work great and the new door improves the appearance of our home. I called to make an appointment. I spoke with Cheryl, who told me that she would walk me through a few steps that might eliminate the need for a service call. She was friendly, professional, and very patient. Thanks to her tips, I now know how to override the protection feature (keep holding the button in as the door descends). I also know to wiggle the little boxes with the LED lights in them. Once they are both on and steady, they are communicating as they should. Thanks to Cheryl, I avoided an $80 service fee. I really appreciated Cheryl's taking time to walk me through these steps so that I could save the money. I have dealt with this company several times in the past and have been very happy with their service and with their employees. This company is A+ with me. Services Rendered: My garage door would go down to within six inches of the floor and then go back up again, as if there was something in the way.

I have just called this company. My garage door was installed by them years ago. I have no idea what is wrong with it, just that it is broken, there is a cable that has snapped, I'm not sure if a spring(s) has broken. I am 70 years old and female, I know nothing about garage doors. Having said all of this, a man answered the phone, I asked him if someone could come out to take a look at the door and give me a price for the repair. He said, and I quote" If it's one spring it's $180, if it's 2, it's $240." Not being sure that a spring is broken, I said "Would someone come out and take a look at it for me first?" He said "No, if someone comes out, they come out to fix it." I started to tell him that I am on a fixed income, so would like some quotes and he hung up on me. HOW RUDE. No, I would not recommend anyone call them, let alone use them.

I call on "Black Friday" and they answered the phone very promptly. I asked about replacing the broken spring and they gave me two options, 1) They can come out on Monday 2) I can pay a little extra for emergency service and have it completed within an hour or so. The extra money was well worth it. It saved me time and aggravation. They had everything repaired with one hour from my initial call. Amazing service! The gentleman who did the repairs was friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to pay the bill even before he left. These folks are top notch. Very impressed and will use them again!! Great. The guy that came out had 30+ years experience and had seen many of the old heavy wooden garage doors that are typical in Cleveland Heights. He took ours down and put up a new one. We needed additional track hardware because of the height limitations of the garage, which was all quoted out before hand. I would use them again for sure! A year ago I contracted with this company to install a garage door opener and to replace the gasket at the bottom of my garage door.. They installed the garage door opener and did not replace the gasket. They said they would contact us to schedule the gasket replacement. They never did. Recently, I contacted them to replace the gasket and to check and lubricate my now, one year old garage door opener. Again, they did half the job. I got the gasket replaced, but the work was not done on the garage door opener. Today, when I called to have the job completed, There was no apology and little interest in completing the job. They would not provide a reasonable window for when I could expect the technician and were argumentative when I pressed to have a 2 hour time frame as to when they would arrive. This company has extremely poor customer service. I will find another company to do business with and I recommend you do the same. I contacted Homenik to replace a cable drum on my overhead garage door unit, and inspect the overall quality of the install; I suspected the problem was symptomatic of a deeper issue. On the first visit, the technician remarked that the spring assembly was of very poor quality, and he would not operate upon it in any way. I did not think this was unreasonable, considering his explanation. He recommended a replacement and so I had to set up a follow-on appointment for the following week. I was careful to state that it would have to be an afternoon appointment (just like the current one I'd scheduled). The following week, the technician called me in the morning and said he was at my place. I told him I was at work and reiterated it would have to happen in the afternoon. Five (!) phone calls from both him and the office later, I finally picked up, irritated at the interruptions to my workday. The receptionist stated that she "couldn't have her tech waiting hours for me." So, I told her to have him conduct other jobs in the meantime and that we had agreed to the afternoon anyway. Apparently, this wasn't an option, so I cancelled. A frustrating experience. I ended up going with a competitor and it turned out to be the right call. I was able to make an appointment for the following Saturday, and dealt with a very organized and thorough staff to get the job done. Services Rendered: Replace cable drum on an overhead garage door; conduct general evaluation of the quality of the install.

The unit was 2 years old and in-warranty. Had the new part in hand and needed the part replaced knowing full well that I had to pay the service fee. After being placed on hold twice, the came back on the call and declined service due to liability concerns. I guess if you are installing a new opener, new garage door, or replacing a spring, they are comfortable. Don't understand why replacing a motor is so troubling. Went somewhere else. Services Rendered: Replace a defective motor in a Genie garage door opener. (In warranty)

I called Homenik Door at 8:00 AM. Cheryl was friendly and professional. She told me that she would fit me in. Rick called just before 11:00 and told me he would be at my home in about an hour, which was when he arrived. Rick was also friendly and professional. He asked me to show him what the problem was. You guessed it -- the door closed completely! I tried it several times and it closed completely each time. Rick checked the photo eyes and they seemed to be in alignment and there was nothing obvious blocking them. I asked him some questions about replacing my heavy wooden door with a metal one. He measured my door and gave me a ball park figure. We went back into the garage and I prepared to pay for the service call. I closed the door again, and this time the door reversed. Rick had me raise and lower the door several more times, sometimes purposely causing the door to reverse. He cleaned the bottom of the door and the track. We opened and closed the door successfully about a half dozen times. Rick told me what to watch out for so that this will not happen again. He did not leave until I was satisfied that the problem was resolved. This is the second time I have done business with this company and I am very happy with them. Services Rendered: My garage door would go most of the way down and then reverse. I tried it many times on Sunday, but it would not close completely.

Very poor customer service. I made a appointment for following day no advance call to let you know they are on there way out. They arrived and spent 5 minutes looking at problem, the left saying not sure what is wrong and someone will call back NEXT day. I did not like what I saw and was hearing I schedule another company to come out the following day. Next day came and like I excepted no call no show from Homenik Door. The other company came out like scheduled and called to advise , when on there way. Problem was fixed in a hour and I was pleased with the service by Crawford Door. Homenik Door Do to your poor customer service you left money on the table.
