Overhead Door came out to repair a broken garage door spring back in October. The serviceman who made our repairs was prompt and pleasant, however he installed a spring of the wrong size. A handful of months later, the spring slipped from the cone. Unfortunately, due to a communication error which was not the fault of Overhead Door, a different company was sent out to repair the garage for a second time. They had to remove the springs and cut off about 3 inches in order to get the right fit. I was charged $160. I contacted Overhead Door to receive a refund, since it was clearly their improper installation of the spring which caused the problem, and that's when we discovered that a different company had worked on the garage on each occasion. Overhead Door decided that because they did not get to review their initial work and make the second repair, they could not offer a refund. I understand their reasoning, and I do not begrudge them that decision. However, they are still at fault for improperly installing the spring in the first place. Hence the negative review.

I called at 10:30 am because a spring broke on our garage door. The technician called me at back 11:40 and said he was on his way to our home and would be here in 52 minutes and they were. We live a pretty good distance from their office. The service that we received was exceptional. They replaced the two main springs on the door and was done in about 40 minutes. They also cleaned and lubricated the rollers and the hinges. Everything was explained well about the warranty. They were very friendly and helpful.

I have utilized Overhead Door twice in the last couple of months. Both times they delivered excellent service. The first visit, they adjusted some of my doors. After the old opener went out, they installed a new opener for me, and the technician was very professional and helpful. I needed a small adjustment to the door a day later, and Overhead Door sent another gentleman out to make the adjustment. I would highly recommend using them for all of your garage door needs in Columbia.

Shortly after pulling into the garage for the evening, a spring broke on our two car garage door. The timing was not great - it happened around 6 PM in the evening, and we could not open the door to move our car outside. I searched for reputable 24 hour door companies and found Overhead Door. From the initial call to the prompt follow up service later that evening and the next day, everything was fantastic! The technician that responded that evening did not have the correct spring to install, so he helped us with a alternate solution until the new spring arrived the next day. Max showed up at the appointed time and installed my new garage door motor in a flash. He programmed both the remotes he left and my car buttons as well. He cleaned up the debris, answered all my questions, and was finished in "record time". Great experience from start to finish!

Wonderful! These guys are professional and do an amazing job. I would highly recommend them. Second time I have used them. I was quoted a labor price of $140 and hour and was told that the installation would take about an hour. The total installation took about two hours as the guys had never installed this type of garage door opener. They were really nice, and only charged me $150 stating that they had never installed this model and it was a learning process for them and they felt bad charging me for the whole two hours!...Gotta love that!! Services Rendered: I needed a new garage door opener installed.

Garage door only opened part way and I thought I was going to be trapped for days! Called Overhead was pleasantly surprised that they could come out within a few hours.
