I love my Sunsetter Awning! Here in the Northwest, I have beautiful tree views from my great room and I didn't want to lose that. However, when the weather finally allows me to sit outside in the late spring, summer, and early fall, I needed something that would protect me from the sun. It does the job, and it looks beautiful. Once I decided on what I wanted, ordering the awning was a breeze. It took a couple of months to get it because it had to be custom made. The installation was quick and my neighbors all commented on how good it looked. Meranda was my contact at A-1, and she did an outstanding job through the process. In summary, my awning is perfect during the good weather when I can sit outside (without freezing). When it's too cold to sit outside, it retracts to a very clean, elegant, minimal look that allows more light into my great room. Note 1: If you are in an area where it rains heavily, keep the awning retracted when it rains as it cannot handle the weight of a lot of rain. Note 2: The optional side windbreakers are very heavy and are not really intended for use in an area where the awning will be opened and closed regularly. They would be best in the consistently sunnier areas of the country where the awning will remain open for an extended period of time.

I scheduled for them to come install gutters and they no call no showed 5 times. After the fifth time I called to get this resolved and was clear that I was frustrated at the situation. The lady who answered told me the owner was not available and then hung up on me after telling her I was being abusive. I was frustrated, yes, but did not ever cuss or call her any names or anything abusive. When I called back I got the answering machine and left a message to tell them I was no longer interested in using their services. The owner then called me back and told me he was sitting right next to her and that he could hear me on the phone with her and that they don't tolerate abusive behavior I explained that I had told her I was frustrated at the situation and was not being abusive. Mind you, she told me he wasn't available, but he said that he was sitting right next to her during the call.

I called and left a message two weeks ago and they never called me back. I ended up calling valley overhead garage sales. They did a great job! So if you need help with your garage door, do not waste your time with A-1, just call valley overhead garage sales.

Garage door tension spring broke. A-1 answered the phone when I called, gave me a quote and set up appointment for the next day. Service was done today. Excellent job by a fine repair technician. Glad now the others I called didn't answer their phone.
