I needed a replacement bottom door seal for my garage door that had been chewed by rats. Pauline is super responsive and gave me an online quote very quickly. Their quote was much more affordable than the big-name garage door company I called the day before. James arrived on time and replaced my seal quickly and gave me several tips for keeping animals out of the garage. I'm very happy to have found Fast Fix!
In response to Pauline's "response," and also to address the complaining phone call I received the night I posted this.... I told you, Pauline, that Jamie did not represent you well. He cost me over $1200 one night because when he came out during the day, he was unable to diagnose and remedy the problem and I was terrified because the door wouldn't close, even with the track disengaged. Then he lacked the belt he said I needed, and said I needed a new opener. I didn't. The expensive one he put in doesn't even have replaceable light bulbs, and the sensors that cause the lights to come on if I walk through the beam stopped working in a month. Late night calls? You advertise 24 hour service. Oh, yeah, Jamie doesn't like to do after hours work. But you really can't complain when you advertise a service and I (or another customer) trusts that. The new company? THEY ARE GREAT, not rude either, or condescending as Jamie always has been, and you have lately become, sadly. I see you left other bad reviews unresponded to. Had I read these reviews, I never would have called on you. ALSO, you complained about how much work you had done for me. I paid every last cent asked for, immediately. I'm sorry, but Fast Fix has taken a sad downturn since taking on Jamie. And Nick (his son) never seems to do anything but run to the truck when told to. Nice kid. Dad? There is a reason I don't want Fast Fix any more. If it was like it was to start with--not cheap by any means, but good--I'd still be your customer. I have always been kind and honest. And I am being kind (believe me!) now. Steve and Pauline are wonderful. Jamie, not so much. My garage door had a problem, he couldn't diagnose it, I was later in a huge jam that cost me over a grand. Steve came out, fixed the problem that Jamie missed, and only charged me for the part. Next time there was a problem, Jamie came out, said I needed a new belt, and he had used the last one on his truck. (My first thought was, you can use these belts on trucks?) He said he would have to install a whole new opener, even though I only needed a belt. I am older, disabled, and on a limited income. The new opener (which doesn't even have bulbs to be replaced when the time comes, so I have that to look forward to) was $680!!! Then they screwed up my remote by programming my gate button to the garage door opener. I bet a belt would have been loads less, and that he could have gotten a belt as fast as he could get the high dollar opener I really didn't need. So I have a new garage door company, and I will miss Pauline and Steve, as they have taken good care of me for about 5 years. But Jamie? I won't miss him. He refuses to come out after hours in an emergency too, even though I only live about 10 miles from him. The new company has been amazing. Grayson Door and Gate. Ask for Matt. 214-642-7432 I told Pauline that Jamie doesn't represent them well, but they still have him. If you can get Steve, I highly recommend Fast Fix. If not, keep looking. (I see other poor reviews, which I can tell are about Jamie "from Trenton.")
I requested that my garage door be repaired. They sent 2 men...a father and son out to repair my door. Father is from Trenton and can't remember which small town son is from. They determined that I needed a replacement circuit board. They came back a few days later with the circuit board that was ordered. The owner told me that it would cost $292. For both the labor for installation and the circuit board part. After they finished they handed me a bill for $430. !!!! I said this is not the amount that we agreed. The father said we charged you an additional $69. Per door to spray the springs with lubricant!!! I said this is highway robbery and clearly a deceitful business trade practice!!! I called Pauline the owner, and she agreed to accept $390......but this is still $100. More than our original agreed amount. I told her that unless she stood behind her original quote...I would warn others.... Also, these same two men went to my neighbor's farm gate, and convinced my neighbor to open the gate and let them inside to his property. ..OBVIOUSLY they were at the wrong property...even though they were at my property only a few days prior!!! I recommend do not do business with this company, because the owner doesn't stand behind her job estimates and hires shady sub contractors.
Their customer services are the best and very respectful & responsive. I have been using their service several times after I found them here. It really means fast, they usually came the same day or next day. I am very impressive their professional & knowledge. Strongly recommended.
They came out to check our old opener to see if it could be repaired and the bearings were worn out in the motor. So, we decided to replace the opener. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. They were here on time replaced the opener and where through in about a couple hours. Very professional and friendly. Great working with them. Services Rendered: replace our garage door opener.
Great, finished in less than an hour Services Rendered: Broken spring Reapir
Called Sunday to have my garage door looked at.Company called early Monday morning to arrange a time to come out. Lady on the phone was so pleasant to talk to. Service techs came out at scheduled time and fixed what was wrong in 10 minutes. No pressure and very professional. Will highly recommend this company to my neighbors. Finally in this crazy world we still have local businesses that actually care. Thank you.
Extremely bad customer service. Called in to get a price quote and the lady was super sarcastic. One expects empathy and a respectful behavior as a customer especially if the customer is already in a stressful situation due to the malfunction of the garage door. But no, she was sarcastic and they only offer 30-day warranty on labor whereas the rest of the competitors are offering 1-year. If her behavior is as such now when I am not even a customer, imagine how bad will it be if I ever call them for warranty repair? I am glad, the company showed true behavior and color so early.
Fixed a sagging garage door for us. Responded quickly and the price was very fair.
The technician, Steve, called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He arrived early in the appointment window I had been given. He got right to work and removed my old garage door quickly. He was very professional and polite. I would definitely use Fast Fix again! Services Rendered: I needed a garage door removed.
Fast response and quality service. Honestly recommended to keep the garage door (even if old). Replaced just the broken spring of the garage door within minutes.
I've used Fast Fix several times over the last 10 years and it's ALWAYS a great experience. Both Pauline and Steve are fantastic and very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend them enough! You can't go wrong with Fast Fix. Trust me.
I had a terrific experience with Fast Fix and wanted to share. There are a number of garage door companies in our area, but I found their prices and service to be all over the place. Pauline set me up for an appointment (she is delightful btw), and Steve showed up and repaired a broken spring. It was fast and efficient, and the price was way below a quote that I had gotten. As an added bonus, Steve had a spare exterior remote that he was able to program for me on the spot. I happen to be in the market for a garage door for a separate property and will be using Fast Fix for that job as well. 5 stars for Fast Fix.
It went amazing. 4 companies told me we would need to replace our garage door and would take 8-12 weeks. The guys came in and looked at for 10 minutes and said this can be fixed right now. 20 minutes later garage completely fixed and works like a charm. I would definitely hire these guys again. Services Rendered: Garage door replaced or fixed?
Very nice initial visit by the owner. Subsequent dealings were with his wife, Pauline. She also had monumental patience. Things that I liked 1) Best price. Just for reference, the next lowest price (Reliant) was about $25 more. The highest price was about $300 more. $2.75k for two insulated doors 16 and 8 2) Parts and choices are limited right now but they did their best to give me options. Be flexible. 3) Pauline let me meet with their supplier to see the actual color as the original color was not available. If you are picky about colors, take her up on the offer. The color in the photos looks different from the actual color. We did it to make sure our HOA wouldn’t reject it. 4) They offered both 24 & 25 gauge doors which was nice. Everybody else ( except Nation which suggested the better doors as well) suggested the cheaper/weaker option. Go with the stronger doors (the lower the gauge , the stronger the door). 24 gauge 8 foot doors were not available. The perimeter seals were actually more expensive than others. The total price was still the lowest. If you are handy, think of doing it yourself. Service was punctual and nice. Follow up service call was also exceptional. Services Rendered: Replace 2 garage doors (16 ft - 24 gauge & 8 ft - 25 gauge)
He was on time, pleasant, fast and competent. Quite satisfied Services Rendered: Garage door spring adjustment, general service
This company is very prompt and quick. They got the job done. However, in all honesty there were a couple of things I did not like or appreciate. 1) Without asking me they slapped a oval sticker with their company's info on my painted wall right next to my garage door button. I clearly know how to contact this company for future work and don't need a random advertisement sticker in my garage. I peeled the sticker off and it removed my wall's paint....ugh! 2) I appreciate promptness, however the team arrived >1 hour early on a holiday morning. Again, I appreciate them being responsive. But their early unexpected arrival jolted me out of my sleep....I just wish they would have called me to ask if it was ok to show up >1hr early instead of just showing up. 3) when they left, my garage door was squealing bad when opening and closing due to the new tension set on the spring. I spent time when I noticed to lubricate all of the hinges on the door...all good now...but wish they would have done that as part of the service. Regardless of some of these somewhat small irritations...I'd still recommend them to anyone having garage door issues. Services Rendered: Replaced broken garage door spring and pole
We had to put in a new ceiling in our garage due to storm damage. I hired a contractor for that work, but also had Steve come out to estimate the work involved with removing the existing garage door and assessing if the existing garage door opener could be repaired, or if it had to be replaced. When Steve was on site, he only needed a few minutes to diagnose the opener--it was dead and had to be replaced. He also gave a quick quote on the costs involved with removing and then reinstalling the existing garage (he indicated that a new door and railing was not needed). From that point forward, everything was a breeze. Steve was responsive to all communications / questions, performed quality work, and helped make sure to stick around to explain how our new garage door opener worked. Bad service providers can be a nightmare to deal with, but when you find a good one, it can be a pleasant experience--this was the case with Steve. Not only did Steve do the work that was agreed upon, he also took the opportunity to install new rollers on our garage door, which made our garage door opening and closing 100000X quieter. I am a satisfied customer and would highly recommend Fast Fix Garage Doors to my friends and family. Services Rendered: Remove and reinstall door. Replace opener.
