Everything went great! Our garage door opener was original to our home (builder grade) which was new when we bought it. It lasted 17 years and was very noisy. We called to have it replaced and have an awesome new opener that exceeded our expectations. Jacob O’Bier was our technician and he was very professional and courteous, explained how to install the app on our phones, and features of the new opener. I called for an estimate to repair my garage door. Paul came out and I was impressed by his professionalism and willingness to provide details about my options. I decided to go for a new door, based on the things Paul told me, and because I was very happy with our initial visit, I requested him to do the installation. Paul came and reviewed with me what I was wanting, and brought a couple additional items that could be installed at no extra cost, such as a different track that he recommended. He also asked me a few questions about the placement of the door, showing he was genuinely interested in having the most space in my garage. He did the work and was very thorough. He even re-aligned my opener and reset the thrust on my opener to account for the heavier door. I asked him about lubrication of the components, and showed him the lubricants I had. He confirmed they were all good, and showed me where I should lubricate for best performance. Paul was very courteous, polite, and professional. His initial impression on my led to a new door sale, and I am very happy with the work he did. I would like to request him for any additional maintenance that may be needed in the future. Excellent customer service. Contacted this morning about the garage door opener key pad. A representative came out and gave a thorough instruction about reprogramming it and for no charge. We have used their services for over 30 years. We have always been satisfied with the quality and value of their services.
This was not the first time we've used Plano Overhead Door. Previously, they provided us with prompt repair service. This time we required some new doors and lifts for a special project at our home. We decided to visit their showroom in Plano; Lisa (ofc. mgr.) greeted us and she provided information about the products. We were impressed with the quality and variety of doors and accessories. And, though our needs were not for a basic garage doors or installation, the patience and ability of Sandy (relations mgr.) to explain, respond and adjust for the complex installation was impressive. Jarod and the whole crew that were sent to install our doors went above and beyond and paid special attention to detail, and provided a seamless and exceptional job. On 2-16-24/Friday tried to raise Garage Door to leave..went up about 3" then closed. Tried again and error message came up on Garage Door Wall Remote with Code that indicated Spring was broken..looked up and and observed Lt Spring broken apart; Rt still in tact. I couldn't get my Vehicle out of my Garage. I called Natasha at Plano Overhead Garage Door and rquested my very experienced and knowledgeable regular Technician Jacob O'Bier for the repairs. She worked me in schedule for 2-17-24/Saturday. Repairs made: Replaced original 12 year old 2 damaged Springs with Heavy Duty Springs at the house I had Drees build 12 years ago. Replaced 12 original Plastic Rollers with all new Vinyl Rollers with Encased Ball Bearings (have 8 ft Garage Door Header that requires 12 Rollers vs 10 for Standard 7 ft Garage Door Header). Recentered my Garage Door. Jacob then performed my Annual Preventative Maintenance Program and Checks. Jacob then Sprayed Lubricant on all necessary location including New Springs. 2-17-24/Saturday/1200 CT:March **** was due my Annual Preventative Maintenance Appointment. However on 2-16-24/Friday my Lt ****** Snapped apart when trying to open door. Called *******... I requested my very experienced & knowledgeable Tech ********************* for my repairs..******* worked me in schedule for 2-17-24/Saturday/1200 Noon. ***** replaced both my ******s with better ones than original, Heavy Duty ******s. Also had him replaced my Plastic Rollers with their Vinyl all enclosed Sealed Bearings Rollers. Great Warranty on all equipment installations. He then checked all my Equipment and Sprayed Lubricant on all needed areas he also recentered my door and set Balance on Door..much quieter..he wiped down any areas he left grease marks from working on equipment very efficient and neat quality work I can trust! I am by nature suspicious of services I request on the internet. I called three other places before Plano Overhead and was not satisfied with their response. When you call a business and someone answers "Hello" you know better than doing business with them. Others either did not serve my area or were too busy to respond in an acceptable time frame. When I called Plano Overhead, I was greeting with by a friendly person who was able to make me an appointment the very next morning. Much to my surprise, ***** the technician showed up right on time. He changed all four springs (two of which were broken) in no time. He then proceeded to make sure everything was tight, lubricated and working perfectly. Very professional.
Brandon did a great job of fixing our garage yesterday. I loved how responsive they were. Same day! They texted me his bio and photo and a link to track his actual arrival. He also fixed my remote opener when I asked him to. Definitely would call them again!
Garage door spring snapped on Saturday and Plano OHGD had a tech out Monday at noon to fix it. Great service with a text for arrival time and a photo of the tech. Got a galvanized spring with lifetime warranty and new rollers. Highly recommend. Friendly and professional.
I called Plano Overhead Garage Door yesterday and they came out this morning. I met Mr. Paul Reyna promptly on time. I described what was wrong. He detailed the fix and the exact cost up front. He even gave me a military discount. He replaced the rubber seal all along the bottom of the double garage door. He lubricated everything. He adjusted the rails, the belt on my belt driven Chamberlain opener, tightened the spring and inspected it, and he replaced my belt drive attachment bracket. Paul was super professional, and I would definitely use this service again.
I called and they came out the next day. I just needed an adjustment on one side that they did. The miter is older but so far not giving me any problems. But, I did have the technician send me an estimate for a replacement down the road. The technician was very thorough and explained everything to me. I will definitely recommend them and call them in the future when I need their services.

I have used Plano Overhead Door for many years and they have given me 5 star service since day 1. Jim Hardy, my service technician, was excellent today. One of the things I like the most about POD is that they educate me every time. They do not ever try to sell you anything, they truly provide a service. When work is needed their fees are reasonable and they warranty their work. They are on time for their appointments. They leave the work area clean and they keep good notes regarding possible future needs. I would highly recommend them.
Josh was very helpful as we were trying to figure out the best solution to our garage door woes. The unit he installed for us is a very nice insulated door, that operates very smoothly compaired to the 30 year old door it replaced. So glad to get rid of that old door and Josh made the whole process very easy. Very satisfied!!

Initially I wasn't sure what the problem was but Brandon came out on a Saturday and told me it was the garage door opener. He gave me advice on what type of unit to purchase. And they would be happy to install. Jake came and installed two new garage door openers. His service was exceptional. He was very Knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Plano Overhead Door is solid reliable company that we keep coming back to over many years. Recently our opener pulled out of the wall over the door because the previous owners had fastened it to a cheap piece of wood with no stud behind it. The technician Will created a metal brace running between 2 studs and fastened the opener to that. Then he proceeded to do a standard maintenance. The price was very reasonable and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them.

Donnie came out to assess problem (old broken suspension spring) and explained problem and offered options. Agreed to torsion spring conversion and scheduled time for work (about 36 hours later). He arrived back a few minutes early and converted both doors to new spring system quickly. Spent extra time doing fine-tuning and leveling of tracks and adjusted new opener stops. He also replaced all the rollers on doors and lubricated hinges and rollers )and taught me how to do it for ongoing maintenance. The garage was cleaner when he left than when he arrived. We got 6 quotes for a replace on our two garage doors. These guys were by far the easiest to deal with. From the get go, they were courteous and professional. The work done was excellent and top quality. Couldn't ask for better.
Excellent service. From the first day we met discussing our options to the completed installation, the team including Jarrod (Paul and Mao) did a phenomenal job. We went with two Short Panel Carriage House Accent Woodstone style doors with polystyrene insulation and a steel backing. Of all the upgrades we found the perimeter seal to be a nice addition; no light or wind/leaves blowing into the garage now. The interior temperature of the garage is much more comfortable and the sound from cars driving by is notably better. We decided to wait on upgrading the motors as we don't open them often (and they still work). You should however ask about swapping the normal tracks with ones compatible with a jackshaft motor. When we decide to do that we won't have to change the tracks.

He conducted a thorough inspection, pointing out a few minor problems, and explained why the home inspection performed to sell the house may have been incorrect. We ended up needing one garage door serviced - minor work. He could well have told us both doors needed to be done. This is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with! Sent a contact inquiry based on the reviews of other customers. They immediately contacted me back and scheduled an appointment for the next day. On appointment day, their technician was held up at a previous job, and they called me and rescheduled for the next morning. Arriving promptly they looked over my garage door And gave me all my options. Absolutely no pressure. Got a quote for replacement of my opener that seemed reasonable. Within half an hour a technician arrived with the parts and within another hour the job was done. They programmed all of my remotes, so it was ready to go. I had a few companies come out and give me estimates to replace my garage doors and I was less than impressed. I decided to stop into Plano Overhead Garage Door so I could actually see a product and not just pictures and a 2" color chip. I was very impressed with the displays as well as the staff. I asked for a few estimates with different options and after receiving the estimates I scheduled a measurement appointment. The technician arrived on time and in fact you can track the technician's arrival with a link that is texted to you. After measuring the doors the technician showed me other repairs needed for a perfect installation. The technician also gave me opinions of a few options I inquired about. The doors arrived a few weeks later and were installed by the first technician I had met and another to assist. The installation was quick and clean. The product itself is very good but the amazing staff and technicians of POGD set the company apart.
