Google5Great service. Called on Thursday afternoon with a broken garage door spring. Scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning. Service technician (Don) was on time and quickly replaced both springs in frigid temps (9 degrees). Unable to install new rubber seal that day due to cold but rescheduled for Wednesday morning. Again, arrived on time with another service tech (Lee) and completed the job in just a few minutes. Both Don & Lee were personable, professional, and efficient. Over the years, Kettering Overhead Door has installed my garage door, one entry door and two storm doors. I've always been happy with their products (Clopay garage door/ProVia entry & storm doors) and installation. One of the storm doors did have an issue with the retractable screen. After one attempt to repair the mechanism, they were quick to get the manufacturer's rep involved and the door was replaced at no cost.

Google5Great service. The team scheduled my service and had a technician out the same week. The technician knew exactly what needed to be replaced and adjusted. They made some adjustments to my door, installed a new rubber pad at the bottom of my door, and replaced my garage door opener with a belt driven style system that is extremely quiet. They were in and out within a couple hours. I would highly recommend and will use this company in the future.

Google1We contacted Kettering Overhead Door with a request to have our current garage door looked at and to find a solution to the excessive water we have accumulated in our garage with each rain. We waited over 2 hours past our appointment time for the gentlemen to show up. Upon their arrival, we discussed in depth what the issues were and what we were looking to rectify. He took his measurements, wrote the info and then requested payment for the service call ($90). This was not discussed with me at the time the appointment was made but I found it fair considering it would be used toward any work completed. We waited almost a month for communication from Kettering Overhead. I phoned them several times for an update on the estimate, each time being met with excuses and finally rudeness. It was later that we received a text with an estimate which was not what we had asked for. When I requested the additional quote for the extras I was told "I'm still sorting through the piles of papers on my desk". This I never received follow up to after. Here we are, over 2 months later with no official quote and out $90 for a service call that cost me money while I waited. Very disappointed as we used them back in 2021 and they were fantastic. We won't be requesting their assistance again in the future and I caution anyone else doing so with an upfront estimate fee in place.

Google5I bought a new sliding patio door from Tracy at Kettering Overhead Door. The sales process was easy. Bob installed it and did a great job. The new door operates so much smoother than the old door, looks ten times better, and is more secure. And the final cost including installation was $1000 less than the other quote that I got from another reputable local company!

Google1Walked into the showroom to purchase new entry door and storm door. They had approximately 6 doors in their showroom. When I asked if there were more doors to look at they handed me a catalogue. I took the catalog walked out the door and that was it. I looked in the catalog and there were no prices!

Yelp5Having experienced multiple problems with my garage door, I decided to try Overhead Door which was recommended to me by 2 of my family members. And am I glad I did! Lee and Josh came over and said I needed a whole new system (which was not a surprise). Lee fixed the door so I could operate it manually. When I said I would need to use a stool to close it, Lee (in less than a minute) fixed it so I could reach it. Josh came back 2 days later and installed the necessary apparatus. At all times they appeared confident, no hesitation on what was wrong, and got right to work. Both these men were respectful and friendly.

Yelp5The spring on my garage door broke and they got me in fast. Someone actually answered the phone which is hard to find these days. They coordinated times with me to keep me aware of when they would arrive. I'm very happy with the product and price. I'll definitely go back for any future needs.

Google5Came out next day to replace both garage door springs, fast, efficient, on time, and Joe was top notch from beginning to end. You don't realize the garage door is truly the front door for your house, until you can't open it. Thanks Kettering Overhead for the quick and friendly service!

Google1Quick response to come out at first and friendly, but terrible communication since then. Came out on 12/13/22 to quote entry door replacement and told us we would have the quote delivered the next day. We still have not received a quote and have asked several times. We also called in for garage door service on 12/22/22 and the service person found the header was rotten and he would get back to us. Never got a call back, but someone showed up unannounced about a week later and we were not home. Called back same day and still waiting for call back. Update 1/9/23: Still no entry door quote and we were mailed the repair invoice even though the repair is not completed. A more experienced service tech came and looked at our garage door on 1/4 and said he would be back to fix the door on 1/5 or 1/6. Did not show up either day and did not call. Update 3/28/23: Forgot to post update sooner. The experienced service tech came back on 1/11 and made the repair to garage door. Next day I found the board installed was split where a screw was driven in. The top lag screw was also splitting the board installed behind it. I am glad they did not charge more than the $99 base price for this, but now I am going to have to pay someone else to fix this.

Yelp5I thought the spring in my garage door had broken (it's an internal one). When I called KOD they indicated this was a common problem with the type spring I had. However, when Lee showed up the next day to replace spring assembly, he determined the spring wasn't in fact broken but just needed adjustment along with the rollers etc needing lubrication. He ended up doing a full tune-up on the door and adjusting the opener positioning, saving me hundreds of $. It's so rare to find professionals that are honest these days so needless to say Kettering Overhead Door will be my go to company going forward!

Google5If you need a garage door opener installed or repaired...this is a great company. They installed my garage door opener a while ago and did a terrific job. Recently I had a situation where my door would not open and my car was trapped inside. The little "disengage" pull lever inside did not allow me to open the door and we had a trip planned the next day for the car inside. I called and Kettering Overhead Door had someone at my house early the next morning. The tech immediately got my car out and had the door totally fixed within an hour (replaced a broken spring). In a time when you cant get people to answer the phone, much less show up and do a repair, these guys had someone at my house pronto and had the job done with no drama and no issues at all. Highly recommend!

Yelp5Hello, I cannot say enough good things about them. They have been my go to garage door business for decades. I used to be an engineer and usually try to do my own repairs. However, despite how many YouTube videos one watches, there is no substitute for experience. From the moment their tech arrived, it was clear he knew what he was doing. Not only did he fix the broken spring that initiated my calling them, he also fixed two other things, one I sort of knew about and the other I hadn't even noticed. The door is more quiet now than I think it was 24 years ago when it was new. Fred

Yelp5I have used this place several times over the last 10 years or so for garage door issues, including one completely new installation, and have never been disappointed. They give an arrival window, and call when they're about 30 minutes out. They're courteous and knowledgeable. One time, I had a terrible noise in my garage door. Turned out to be a loose roller. The guy fixed it, lubed all the rollers, and didn't charge me anything. I can't speak to their other services, but for garage doors, I won't go anywhere else.
