Chris Gear installed a garage door opener for me a little over 2 years ago. When my son needed to have his opener replaced, I immediately suggested Gear Garage Door. It was necessary to make some adjustments, for my son's door, but that was no problem. Another successful installation in our family. I always recommend Gear Garage Door to my friends who need garage door work. Chris is very friendly, professional, and reasonably priced.
Chris is very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I'm glad I contacted his Gear Garage Business. My garage door opener hinge at the door panel broke off. He came out the very next day and repaired it, by installing a extra strong brace (I thought I would need an entire panel which would make me repaint the entire door and cost more). I ask him what would cause such a break, so he gave my door and mechanics a once over and tightened the springs, adjusted the tension on the chain cable, used some type of special lube on the door joints, springs, pulleys, etc. He even changed out the bad bulbs (I provided) in the overhead box. Now if I needed to open it without electricity I can do it with ease. All I ask was that he fix the broken hinge. To me he went above and beyond and did more than I expected, Price was very reasonable. Thanks.

Chris saved the day! My garage door pulley broke yesterday morning. I called one guy, he was busy, so he referred me to Chris w/Gear Garage Door. I needed to have a dent in my garage door repaired ASAP because there were issues with closing the door. I called Gear Garage Doors and Chris came right out and completely repaired the dent and straightened the door, and I can honestly not tell that the door was ever damaged in any way. While he was here I asked if he could replace the seal along the bottom of the door and he was able to do that while he was here for only a minimal charge to cover the cost of the sweep. I could not be any happier! I had previously called several big-name garage door companies and all told me dented garage doors could not be repaired or that they didn't do that. Chris made no promises, but he sounded encouraging on the phone, and I'm so glad he was the one to do the job because he did great work. If you have any issues with your garage door or opener, this is the one to call. Super honest and just couldn't be any nicer!
On a Sunday, my double wide garage door became jammed with the rollers off the top 2 panels on the left side of the door and stuck 1/2 way up so that I couldn't get either car out. Chris was able to come over and after a solid hour repairing the rollers, wire drum cable, hinges, and automatic door opener, the door was good as new. I really appreciate that he came out on the weekend to get me out of a jam and left me a garage door that was working great. I have used Chris before and Chris is very professional, fair, and competent which is a rarity among tradespeople these days. And as a bonus, he is a nice guy also!!
I used Gear Garage Doors to install 2 garage door openers in a house I own in Windermere. I had called around for a few quotes and his was the most reasonable. Sometimes price alone is not a good reason to hire someone, but it certainly worked out in this case. Chris did a quality job installing the doors and discovered another issue with the doors that could have been dangerous. It wasn't a bogus upsale issue, it was clearly an issue that had been building for a while. I highly recommend Chris at Gear Garage Doors to handle all your garage door repair work. I called Chris to set up an appointment within 24 hours for preventive maintenance. He was very cordial and polite over the phone. The next day he quickly but thoroughly scanned the door and all hinges, noticing that a few screws were missing and that the rollers would need replacement soon. In addition, he programmed a new transmitter and made sure the system was good. He charged a very fair price and did the work in a fast but efficient manner. I will highly recommend Chris to work on your garage.
