My Garage Spring Exploded on its own @ 10pm while I was watching the Jags vs Titans game Never experienced this before. Crazy Sounded like a gunshot or someone hitting my Garage Door loud enough to cause me to jump & run outside. Normally I would have waited, however I have a flight @ 6am tomorrow and couldn't get my Jeep out of garage. Panicked. Called Ed Grimes. He was at my place within 30 mins. Replaced with Brand New Spring and fixed No more panic, problem solved Fast, Professional, says he's been doing this for 37 years. Watching him work, I believe it Super happy & highly recommend Ed Grimes service

Mr. Grimes is very honest and professional. We live in Hunter's ridge, and are usually charged and quoted more for simply living in this area. Especially after people see our house. Mr. Grimes originally quoted us 390. Upon arrival, he told us the quote would be less and cost us 328. I highly recommend him and his services. Our torsion springs were replaced and our garage door was fixed within 30 minutes.

My parents garage door was having some trouble closing and of course it was about 9pm. I called Mr Grimes and was told give him 30 mins, he would be there. He arrived and fixed it for my dad. He was so quick fixing the problem. Will def recommend him 1000%

Mr. Grimes came out same day on a Sunday to repair my garage door after hurricane damage. He did an exceptional job and he is a perfectionist with his craft. I thought there was only one problem with the door but he found all of the problems and had the door and operation back to great working order with no abnormal sounds or operation within a short period of time. He braced the door, replaced sensors and then re-aligned the tracks and rollers in a short period of time. Nice guy to talk to, reasonable price and overall stellar service. I don't think the experience could have been any easier or flawless. My dogs also appreciated his dog treats!

Wow! I called the company they came out the next morning. He had my issue fixed in less than 30m! Price was extremely fair and Ed is a very kind honest trustworthy person that has been in the business for over 30yrs. I haven't had the best experiences with a lot of companies around here until now and his is top notch. He is on time, does not oversell you or try to make you buy something you don't need. Thank you Ed! You are in our contacts now and are our garage repairman! AND they don't ask for reviews!

Mr. Grimes has helped me with my garage door several times over the years, and he is sincerely fabulous. Despite not having an emergency and just needing a service call, I got same day service and had a new circuit board, a new remote, a new keypad , a new lightbulb and both cars programmed in less than an hour. He was prepared and knew exactly what to do. This is not the first time I have had a positive experience and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Had Ed Grimes over today because our garage door opener was excessively loud and I thought we needed to replace it. After spending over 45 minutes working on the door and opener, it is working just fine. Ed could have sold me a new opener and I would have been fine with it. I really appreciate that he saw and fixed the issues and in the process saved us the added expense of a new opener. We will definitely recommend Ed and his business to anyone who needs this type of service.

To start with, I called on a Friday at 9:00am, it was a pleasure to talk with a person and not a robot telling me to press 1 for English. Once I explained the problem, her husband said he could be here at 9:30am and indeed he was. Mr. Grimes found the problem, installed 2 new sensors and at my request he inspected the motor, the gearing and the rest of the system. The job was complete within 35 minutes. I will call them again, if and when needed. "Grimes Overhead Door Service" provided very professional, knowledgeable and reasonable service over all. My neighbor had a similar problem and Mr. Grimes gladly took care of his problem as well upon finishing mine.

It's a Friday morning before a holiday weekend and the garage door spring breaks. I called Grimes Overhead Door at about 8:05AM (they open at 8), a real person answers (guessing Mrs Grimes) and says Mr Grimes can be at my house at 11AM. The same day! Mr Grimes arrives early--who does that?--at 10:30. About a half hour later he's replaced both springs (advisable to replace both even if only one is broken) and the belt, balanced and tuned the door and lift, lubricated the rollers and springs and advised me on a maintenance schedule. It was obvious he'd done this work for a long time because he was amazingly efficient, didn't waste movement, was thinking three moves ahead as he worked. So on a Friday before a holiday I get a super-qualified and experienced repairman at my house and a job completed in just over three hours from my initial call. Wow! I'd like to say it's because I'm livin' right but I know that's not true. This was all Mr and Mrs Grimes. I was so impressed! I recommend Grimes Overhead Door. Services Rendered: Replace springs and belt on garage door.

Very smoothly. Mr. Grimes was obviously very knowledgeable about garage door issues. Services Rendered: When you closed the garage door, it would reopen when it reached the ground. A general service call that included adjustment, balance and lube fixed the problem. It’s been several months now and the door still works fine.

They showed up on time, evaluated the situation and started to work. One of the cables had to be returned to drum guide, and the rest was general services, which included balancing the door and lubing all moving parts. Door is like brand new now. Great job! As good as it gets. He came the same day I called. He arrived on time. He was courteous and he knew what he was doing. He was also very careful not to damage my freshly painted garage floor. His price was very reasonable. I would use him again and recommend him to my friends. Services Rendered: One of the cables on my 2 car garage door had come off it's drum. He inspected and reinstalled the cable, and balanced the tension on the springs.

I called Grimes and couldn't believe he actually answered the phone. He said he would be willing to come and fix it but was really looking forward to the game. He offered to come out after the game and I agreed. He came promptly after the game and fixed the door in no time. He's wonderful! He's fast, efficient, reasonably priced, always answers his phone and is completely reliable. I will continue to use him exclusively.
