A friend had a garage door that would not open. It had a broken bracket, so, she called Precision. They told her she needed to replace her extension springs, with torsion springs, because they were worn and had no safety cable. It turns out they had just been replaced, by previous owner, 6 months earlier, and only needed a safety cable run through them and to be adjusted. The cable could be done by anyone for just a few dollars. They did replace the bracket, but door would not open. They told her to push the button then lift manually. She was told the opener carriage was worn and it would be around $200 to replace and parts would need to be ordered. I ordered the part, $25, and installed it in less than half an hour. It seems like they took advantage of a woman who knew nothing about doors. Service people must work on commission.
Jordan came out to repair our broken cables on our door. He showed up an hour early and we looked over the door together because I had a few other issues I wanted him to check out. Jordan gave me three options to repair my door and I made my choice. I asked how soon he could do the job and he said he had all the parts he needed in his van and could have it done today ! Less than two hours later Jordan came and got me and said he was finished. He went over everything he replaced and the door has never worked this good. Jordan really impressed me with his knowledge and his work ethic. He is very professional and wasted no time getting the job done right. I would recommend Jordan to anyone who needs repairs done. Jordan made me glad I chose Precision Garage Door to do my job.
I had a great experience with Precision! I was able to book a repair for the same day and have it fixed within the hour! Sam was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Very happy with the service provided by Precision Garage Door. When our garage door wouldn't open, we first called the company that installed it when the house was built. They couldn't get to us for at least a day, so we called Precision next (because I had seen many of their TV spots and they have great reviews) and they said they could have a tech at our house in a couple hours. Kyle arrived in the promised window, checked everything to determine the issue, and then had the door fixed--all within two hours. Kyle was very knowledgeable about the issue, made recommendations and let me decide which option I wanted. Would highly recommend Precision Garage Door for anyone needing garage services.

Our garage door broke in the morning and I called Precision Garage Door in the morning to get an appointment set.They made an appointment for 4pm. They arrived early to get started.. They explained my opener was from 1993 and should be replaced. They gave me three estimates and I chose one for a new opener and new rollers.They installed it and done excellent work.Kyle and his partner were awesome. Love the new opener
I had a little mishap and thought I damaged my garage door. Precision repair tech came and inspected the door for repair. They found no damage and didn't charge me for the diagnosis, even changed a bulb in the garage door opener during the process. It's great to see a company that understands customer loyalty, one small gesture resulted in a lifetime customer. Great work and looking forward to my garage repair next time.
Our technician, Ryan, was courteous and professional. Took the time to listen to our concerns, was able to diagnose the problem and come up with a solution quickly. Gave us three options with a basic parts to higher end parts and one in between. Loved that the technician had everything in their truck so we didn't have to wait for them to go get parts. Eden was our technician and did an exceptional job. We had the tension rods, springs, and pully/cable assemblies on double and single stall garage doors. He quickly diagnosed the issue, prescribed the fix, laid out the options and pricing along with the difference between the choices for me, and went to work. Eden was courteous, professional, efficient, detailed, and thorough during the entire process. He took his time when dialing in the tension levels of the springs. Eden was very thorough when cleaning up. It was more expensive than I anticipated but it has been many years since I had to replace garage door parts. My perception of the quality of the parts used is very high. My perception of the quality of the installation is very high. I scheduled the appointment online at 8 AM and Eden was at my home before Noon. Work was done by 2. Overall we are extremely happy and would definitely recommend Precision Garage Door!
Discussed with Bryce another service return visit to replace my current garage door motor with the identical motor they installed on the second door for a more quiet run. Scheduling was easy. Requesting a schedule time to replace the motor worked well within my schedule. The discounts given were amazing. I felt I got the best value on an upgraded Genie Motor and belt, extra controller and oiling of the door hinges were another benefit of good customer service. Due to a garage door failure that rendered it unusable we needed service right away. We called Precision Garage Door of Des Moines at 11PM & scheduled an appointment for the following afternoon. Communication was excellent & the tech was very knowledgeable & informative, providing us information about future maintenance & inspections. Our tech showed up for our appointment on time & our garage door was repaired & working better than it ever has within about an hour. Two panels of my garage door was coming apart in it's middle and when I opened it those 2 looked like they could land on top of my Jeep-the chain to the opener was hanging pretty loose-I'm an original owner of my townhouse-2005-in 2015 my garage door opener broke- so I needed someone to install a new one- I learned at that time that finding a reputable company wasn't going to be easy-they all pretty much wanted me to sign service contracts-why?- My money upfront for-?? They would have to come here to look at a possible problem/trip charge $$$-then order parts or explain why they can't just fix the problem- I called these great people -I explained what I saw. They told me my technician would be here-basically a couple of hours-these guys are extremely personable and professionally experienced-they gave me a couple of warranted quotes- and I picked the one that best suited my needs. They carry everything they need for any kind of garage door- Now I have a reputable reliable NO service contract group of garage guys!
My daughter thought the garage door was open and backed into it completely destroying our garage door. I have a tandem garage so I had two cars stuck inside the garage. I called and got same day service to look at garage and the garage door was able to be replaced that very same day. I have a standard size garage door so luckily one was in stock. This was also in the middle of winter. Them being able to fix the door that quickly saved me so much stress and headaches. I am so happy with work and would recommend to anyone

Our garage door had a moment. The bottom roller on one side pulled free and got wedged in the runner track. The door was stuck open about a foot. Called around, this place had the best price by far. The repair guy arrived 15 minutes early (he called ahead to make sure that was ok), gave me a free estimate, WORE A MASK, Insisted on typing my credit card info instead of scanning for safety, and the work he did was brilliant. He explained everything that had to be immediately repair to return to functional, gave me options for extra safety bits, and once he was done he walked me through the work he did, all of which is holding up beautifully. Highest recommendation. Great value for the money, and the cost ain't bad!

These guys are Awesome. I kept having issues with my door and had hired a couple different places and all they did was not fix the problem. So I called Eric and he sent one of his guys out.
