We called Joe last night after one of the springs broke on the door. He gave us a reasonable quote and came less than 24 hours later and fixed the door. He put in heavier duty springs than what he quoted and wasn't going to charge us for it. Amazing job at a truly affordable price. He is honest and fast! Highly recommend him!

The absolute BEST and most reasonable service you will ever find. Ask for Joe! He came on a Sunday during his busy season to help my elderly mother get out of her garage. This is the way business used to be done. A handshake and incredibly friendly service...and on a Sunday!

Definitely the best customer service experience ever! Joe answered our desperate call on a Saturday morning when our door spring broke. He scheduled a convenient time for the service call, was here exactly on time, fixed the problem and did all of the maintenance in addition to the fix. I definitely give him 5 stars and he will be the guy we call going forward.

I didn't know who to call to do some maintenance on our garage door, so just found Affordable Door Service online and gave him a call. Joe was so friendly and showed up when he said he would and fixed the door at reasonable price. Such a pleasure doing business with him. Highly recommend.

Joe was awesome! Highly recommend. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is in working order when he is done as well as even looked over our other two garage doors and took care of maintenance on those to make sure no major repairs would be needed in the future!

Joe was originally hired to install doors on our new garage, which he did promptly. He did a very nice job. In September, we hired him to install the siding and soffit, which we wanted to get done before the winter weather hit. Joe was ready to help, and offered to install some exterior light fixtures, a service door, and several windows (which we'd already purchased) as part of the siding/soffit job. Joe made suggestions about how to perform the work in a sensible way, and was accommodating of our wishes. I could not have asked for a more reliable company to do this work. The doors cost us $1850 and $1200 for all the other work. Joe did high quality work for a fair price and I highly recommend Affordable Door Service. Services Rendered: We hired Joe initially to install two garage doors on our new construction in late August, 2014. He was very responsive and did exactly what we wanted; his quote was very reasonable. After the doors were installed, we hired Joe to install the siding and soffit. All the work was arranged "long distance" since we live in the Chicago area.

Joe came, looked at my garage and the new door. He insisted that I install a locking handle on the door...said he had one on hand. I told him to use any lumber that he needed from my garage. I left a check for him in the garage. He said he would be there in 2 days to do the work. On the scheduled day, he called and said he had dental work done and ran into a problem. He would be there the next day to do the work and he was. When I arrived home late morning of that very hot day, he had the door installed and was in the garage working. I got a pan of water for his dog, and waited for Joe to come out....but he kept working. I went to bed and when I woke up, my new door was completed. Joe left his detailed bill on my porch. He also called me the next day to see how the door worked. My garage was thoroughly cleaned when Joe was done working. and the garage door works perfectly and so smoothly. Joe did a fantastic job. I gave him a B grade on punctuality simply due to his rescheduling due to dental work cancellation. Services Rendered: Joe removed my old garage door that was installed in approximately 1930. He then installed the new garage door. He needed to add some lumber around the opening to make it a tight fit and modify the rafters so the rails hung correctly.

Got a call from our tenant that his garage door was no longer opening. I was just about to head out of town and had no idea who to call. I googled "Dubuque and Doors" and a few different options popped up. I choose Affordable Door Service. That name is a misnomer because it should be named, "AWESOME Affordable Door Service!" I had the absolute best experience with a strongly professional and highly personable guy, named Joe, the owner. When I described the problem, Joe said, "I'm pretty sure I know the problem. Because of the extremely cold weather, I have had this exact problem about 15 times in the last month." Sure enough, it was exactly as he thought: The gear needed to be replaced. *Luckily, while he was working on one garage door, our other tenant approached Joe and said she was having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM!" Joe, at no extra cost to me, checked her unit, diagnosed the problem then called me to inquire if I wanted to fix her door as well. He then gave me a DISCOUNT on the price of fixing her door (Door #2) since he was already on site to fix Door #1. The price was amazingly affordable ~ and his work was ABOVE AND BEYOND! After my first tenant first called (Door #1) and I contacted Joe, Joe then volunteered to call my tenant to walk him through how my tenant could use the door though it were broken. My tenant texted me saying, "Wow! I'm impressed that you handled that so quickly!" Let me say this: It was a Saturday - I wouldn't have been able to handle it so quickly if it weren't for Joe and Affordable Door Service - or rather AWESOME Affordable Door Service! CALL JOE - you will never use another door service in Dubuque so long as he's here. Fantastic! Services Rendered: Was called to fix 1 door - fixed 2! Fantastic Job! Great Price! ABOVE & BEYOND SERVICE!

One of the springs on my garage door broke, causing the opener to not be able to open the door. I had two cars in the garage, and didn't know how to open the door and keep it open so I could get the cars out. I called Joe Saturday night around 8:00pm and left a message. Sunday morning at 7:30am he called and was at my house by 8:15!! He replaced both springs, adjusted the settings on the opening and closing of the door, lubed the rollers, roller track and carrier track and informed me what he was doing and how often I should do that myself to make things last longer and work better. He was done in an hour and talked me through what was he was doing the whole way. He is very knowledgeable and informative, and came on a Sunday morning! I used Joe the last time a spring broke and he was just as quick to get here that time too. I have a wife and daughter who park in the garage, and they could not have lifted the door to get their cars out, so Joe coming so quickly was fantastic. I would highly recommend using Affordable Door Service any time you have a garage door problem. My door is 20 years old and when it is finally time to replace it, I am going to give Joe a call to do the work. Services Rendered: Replaced broken spring so I could open my garage door.
