Spring broke on my 16x8 garage door Sunday night. Called Great Lakes Monday morning. They were terrific. Rearranged some things and were able to fit me in the same day. They had the necessary parts on hand to do the repairs. Excellent service and very professional. Thank you

We appreciated Jeff and the Great Lakes Team until we needed warranty work performed within six months of installation on three commercial grade doors. Since September 2022 we have been asking for an appointment to get replacement parts ordered and installed on one of our new garage doors, which helps seal the door. Without one part in place, mice can push the seal up and enter the garage. Additionally, one piece of the vinyl weather-stripping cracked, and needs to be replaced (We asked if there is a different product that is typically used on a commercial door, but no alternatives have been offered). We have emailed and called several times over the last five months requesting a date and time for them to uphold their one year warranty, but correspondence has been limited and never offers up a date and time for this work to be performed. We have been very accommodating, and even drove two hours to return the installer's coat and neck gaiter, and did it another time to pick up weather-stripping since he did not have enough on hand to match all the doors during the initial installation. Perhaps the manufacturer can just send us the parts so we can address this issue ourselves, since it seems the warranty is useless.

Very quick service! My garage door got stuck open after the cable came off the drum at about 9PM on a Sunday night. I left a message for them and they called back promptly in the AM. Jeff came out and fixed the door, and it was not nearly as expensive as I worried. Very happy with the service

Jeff and Great lakes door did a fantastic job repairing the broken springs on our overhead garage door. Prompt reply, good explanations/solutions, and very reasonable pricing. They were also very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend calling them for all of your overhead door needs.

Great Lakes Door (Jeff) replaced my garage door opener quickly with a new side-mount unit. The garage wouldn't allow a standard opener due to a large beam, Jeff offered a couple of options and provided a detailed explanation of both. Ultimately, he came in on budget and even disposed of the old unit. He explained all the opener's features and made sure we understood how everything worked.

I went back to these folks after a very good experience last year when they gave me some good advice about my garage doors. I called them to get a quote on two new doors and operating systems. It took them two weeks to come out and quote it. Then they wanted 50% down on the job, ok, there you go. I called to follow up on our delivery date.....they said we're on schedule. The day of the install comes and my wife informs me that they didn't finish her side of the garage. I call and ask the owner how the job went and she said "great." When I get home, not only is her side missing the new operating system, my side is plugged in with an extension cord! I call them back and question them about it, and the owner says, 'oh I forgot to tell you that I accidentally sold one of your systems!' She said, don't worry we're getting some more from the cities this afternoon. I then say, oh, so you will put it in tomorrow then right??? She says, oh no, I've over booked tomorrow. I said, why is my side plugged into an extension cord?? The owner says, oh, that's on you to figure it out. I said if you came out to quote the job, you should have been able to see if the units would plug in or not?! Needless to say, these people let me down at every turn. I met the installer the next morning and pointed out that he left several 2.5inch nails on the floor of my garage...he apologized.....I actually pointed one out right beneath his ladder....it was still there when I got home. I spent over $2300 on this project and it was sloppy to say the least. I had to rewire the plug ins for the operating systems too. Yeah!

Great Lakes Door came to my house and installed a new garage door. His staff was professional, courteous and efficient. The door they installed has never had an issue, but I know if it did, they would be there in a heartbeat to address the problem. 5 Stars!!! Great job, Jeff and crew. Thank you!

The installation went pretty well but had to call them back to re-adjust 2 of the door openers. One would close then open again on its own, and the other only closed part way. They came out within a couple of hours of me call to fix the issues. They have been working well since (7 months). Services Rendered: Have 2 garage door openers replaced and a third adjusted.

They arrived within an hour of my call. Rather than just re-attach the trolley as it was installed, he fixed the angle of it so that the door would open more smoothly, thereby reducing the odds that it would come loose again. He also attached the frame in the center (which should have been done during installation), and greased up the door in prep for winter. Very professional, friendly and competent. The price was very reasonable too! I would definitely use this company again, and highly recommend to friends. Services Rendered: Re-attached the automatic door opener to the door.

My garage door broke. I called three names on Angie's List. I chose this one because they were very punctual and available at the time. I also liked the fact they preferred to look at the problem first before they gave a free estimate. Services Rendered: Repaired and replaced garage door springs and lubricated both doors.
