It's great to deal with a company that does what it should do. Their technician, Nathan, is first class and got the broken spring and the opener working. I couldn't be more pleased with Phil's especially after the first outfit I contacted first tried to sell me a new garage door rather than fix the old one.
These guys are so great! Got an appointment right away, a call when they were on their way and great service when they got here. We LOVE having access to our garage via newly programmed remotes!

It was like -8 degrees F and I had to leave town. Or course right then a cable on our garage door broke and got caught. The door was then mildly crooked and wouldn't shut. My stress went up, as it was like 4:45 PM, and I was picturing our garage remaining open overnight at least. In that context, I called Phil's Garage Door Service at about 5 PM. They were super nice, sent their on call technician, and by 6:30 PM it was completely fixed. In fact, it works better than ever. Their reported price (they are mailing the bill)--especially for after hours work--was reasonable/fair. Their communication was excellent (by phone since I was gone). I was expecting a stressful ordeal, and instead they completely took care of the issue within 1.5 hours of calling them. I came come to a perfectly functioning door. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend them. We have their sticker on our garage door now, and I would definitely use them again.
Just wonderful service. I called a similar garage door company and they charged me almost $100 to just come and take a look. They did not even bother to call back or give me an estimate for repairs but simply sent a bill. Phils came over, not a word. Repaired it and charged just a little over $100 for coming to take a look, labor and everything. Highly highly highly recommended. Best service in Duluth
I have used Phil's several times over the years. They do good professional work and are reasonably available (a real plus when your wife's car is stuck behind an inoperative door!) My go-to garage door repair service.
