Charged way less than Lowe's and many other garage door companies to install and remove an old garage door opener. He was fast, and he didnt make a mess Thank you!!
Called on Saturday, he texted me on Sunday and we set up a time to meet, he was here on time Monday looked at the problem gave me a quote and had it fixed quickly. I would highly recommend him, he was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
Called Don and set an appointment and he promptly showed up as scheduled on 12/19/2023 at 8:00am. He took one listen to the sound my garage door opener was making and said: "I know what that is." He explained what the problem was, said it was a really common problem and easy to fix. He offered me the option of replacing the entire unit or repairing the old unit. I asked him, what he would do and he said, he'd simply fix the old unit as the motor last forever and parts are still readily available for this common failure. I really appreciated that Don offered me the option to replace the unit, but recommended the lower-cost repair option - now that's integrity and customer service that you rarely see any more. If you have any kind of automatic garage door opener issues, I HIGHLY recommend you call Don at American Overhead Door and schedule an appointment. You'll be glad you did! He's a true professional that knows his craft, has integrity and is an honest businessperson to do business with. It doesn't get much better than that. Great job Don and thank you!
Don is probably The Best Service Professional I've interacted with all year! (From any industry!) He was knowledgeable, prompt, quick, thorough, had great communication throughout. And his prices were reasonable. I.e. Some other vendors quoted "Elemental" prices that were close to gold or platinum or titanium costs (i.e. inflated and variable)--AOD's costs were like steel (i.e. strong and affordable).

Don was fast, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He came by my house to fix an improper install of a garage door opener by another company, and instantly knew what all of the issues with the install were. Had a torsion spring break over the weekend. Called Don on Monday morning and he came out same day to replace the springs and correct the opener attach bracket. Very knowledgeable, affordable, and responsive. Much easier than trying to DIY it.

Our 16yr old decided it would be fun to drive through our garage door. I think she secretly knew I hated the door and needed an excuse to get a new one. Don was amazing! He was quick to respond, extremely prompt emailing me brochures, scheduling quotes and sending me invoices. Our new door was delivered 2 weeks early and he was at my home the very next day, 7:30 am sharp for installation. Don had the door installed in 3 quick hours and even took the time to show me how to program my old remotes to our new opener. I called to get an appointment to have my garage door repaired. Don replied quickly and set up an appointment to accommodate my schedule. He arrived on time and replaced the broken spring and lubricated everything else on the door. He was very quick and friendly. His pricing is very reasonable. Our automatic garage door was installed by another company who just weren't responsive. I would recommend American Overhead Door over some of the bigger too busy local companies.
Arrived in a timely manner, good communication beforehand (gave me a quick tip to try before seeing if I actually needed him to come out), diagnosed and fixed my problem within 30 min. I also like that he was one of the few garage services that has the quick quote feature set up on Yelp. Would hire again.
Don did an amazing job on installing our new garage door units, and even programed my husband's car to open his side. He took down our old units, and put everything together in under 3 hours! He was also more affordable than two other companies we called here in Eugene. Highly recommend that you go with these folks!

I was very impressed with his responsiveness leading up to the date of his service as well as his professionalism on the day he arrived.
