Yelp5Garage Gadgetry is the best! Came out diagnosed my problem and made recommendations. Very knowledgeable and helpful. After the service call I decided to install a new opener and my SIL is going to install. I offered to pay Garage gadgetry for the call, but he told me, no cost and just call us again if you need us. I certainly will!!

Google5This is by far the best choice for garage repair I've found in town. They are affordable and won't try to upsale you on things you don't need. Another company insisted I needed to replace my opener and springs and wanted $1600 for a long list of repairs and replacements. Garage Gagetry repaired my door for $150 and gave me a year warranty on the opener.

Google5Garage Gadgetry is fantastic. They came recommended from a friend and I was not disappointed. They were able to come in a very short time the same day and fix my broken garage door spring. It was fixed in 20 minutes for exactly the cost estimated when I called and works great. The tech was professional and knowledgeable. He offered some insight into the rest of our system but was not trying to upsell me on anything. We will for sure be using them again and telling others to as well.

Yelp5After buying a townhouse in 2018 in FoCo, that included a keypad for the double garage door, but no instruction booklet, I needed someone to help me reprogram it and two remotes to a new code. Also, I wanted a different code just for the remodeling contractors, who were slated to start work in a couple weeks, but I wasn't sure the current keypad could handle more then one code (it could). Lastly, the garage door was due for the routine maintenance on the springs, hinges, rollers, and drive belt. There was no mention of those things ever having been done since the place was built in 2007, and the sellers, a young couple in their late 20s or early 30s, didn't know it was something that should be done annually. The home inspector I'd hired had listed this in his report as well. I didn't ask the sellers to do it though, as I wanted to oversee the job myself. Yelp reviewers helped me find Garage Gadgetry (a.k.a. GG), and some other companies. Getting quotes from all the companies I requested one from took a few days, but that's not uncommon when there's a building boom going on. GG's quote was inline with the other companies. None were over $100 at the time. I hired GG, because they could send someone out the day before the work inside the house was to start, at a time I'd be available too. Everyone else was weeks out, even for this simple, 30 min. job. I don't recall the name of the man who showed up, but I remember he came a little early, as his previous job had been close by and he'd finished early there. He was clean, though a bit rumpled from working, and friendly. He first replaced the 9V battery in the keypad with a new one I'd given him. Next, he reprogrammed the remotes and keypad, set up a code for the contractors on the keypad, then efficiently did the routine checks and maintenance on the door and parts. He was done in 20 mins. Cost was $80. That's a good price, considering I just paid $150 to have the same things done by a different company at house in Boulder that I'm putting on the market in 2023.

Yelp5Had a broken torsion spring. Called him up, he asked a few questions, gave an estimate, made appointment. The appointment was three business days from the time I called him. He showed up on-time. Fixed the spring and did a tune-up. Friendly but efficient Stuck to the estimate and didn't try to upsell me on anything. Had to replace spool cables and included that in the charge. I paid $275 (I don't have any idea if that's the going rate but it seemed reasonable to me). I recommend this company based on this experience.

Yelp5I'm not sure you can get more honest and helpful than these guys. They have replaced our garage door and helped us out on several sticky situations. Although yes they can be a little hard to get a hold of it's worth it when you do. I saw a couple reviews mentioned this and I think it's just the fact that this is a hardworking small business.

Google5They answered the phone right away, which 3 other companies could not do. Came within 24 hours. John was nice, professional and did just what they promised for the amount they promised. New spring quickly installed. They are my new "go to" garage repairmen.

Google5Garage Gadgetry came recommended to us by multiple friends, and they did not disappoint! We first called them a few few months ago, and rather than charging us a service call, they talked us through making a couple of adjustments that bought us some time. When our adjustments no longer worked, we set up an appointment for a tech to come out. He was prompt and professional. He gave us another adjustment option that would have bought us a few more months but we opted for replacing the opener. The cost was very reasonable, he installed it quickly, left our garage cleaner than it was when he got there, and it works great! Would highly recommend them!

Yelp5Great service! He showed up within the 1/2 hr time frame I was given and I was grateful and impressed to see he was wearing a mask. He diagnosed and repaired the problem in a timely manner. They will get my future business and I will pass along my recommendation.

Google5Rapid response to my call & scheduled appointment the next day. The service was quickly accomplished and reasonably priced. In addition we talked about replacing my garage door opener. He encouraged me to delay replacement and did not try to sell me something I didn't need yet. I've used this company two times and also recommended to a neighbor.

Yelp5Our garage door broke on our way out to vacation. Called on Monday after we returned. The person I spoke to on the phone said they could be there in 15-20 minutes. I certainly didn't expect that, especially on a holiday. The guy that showed up was polite and professional. He had me up and running in 5 minutes. Turns out the door had just fallen off the track. He could have charged me for a service call, but didn't. Highly recommend them. When the time comes to replace my doors, I will be calling them.

Yelp5Called on Tuesday and had to schedule for Friday as I wanted to have my husband here as well. He was on time, fair, honest and had our repair done quickly for a great price. Highly recommend them in Fort Collins.

Yelp5Update: One of the torsion springs in the door went out, and I had Garage Gadgetry come by based on previous experience. A new spring was installed quickly, and after an inspection and lubrication the door was working like new again.

Angi5this is the second time I have called Tom for help. both times he came out right away and was on time each time. he knows his stuff and takes time to explain everything so you know what is going on. he works quickly, is very polite and friendly. his fees are extremely reasonable and competitive. I believe he is very honest, he won't try to upsale you or do work that isn't needed. he is focused on customer service and building his businnes for the long haul verus short term gain. you will not be sorry if you call him. Services Rendered: reattached brackett, that pulled off due to ice freezing the door shut, to garage door so it could open.

Angi5When I called Garage Gadgetry they set up an appointment for the 3-3:30 following afternoon (this wasn't an emergency, as the door still worked, sort of). Promptly at 3, John showed up. He examined our entire garage-door system and described its strengths and weaknesses (to provide information, not to try to sell us on having additional work done). In addition to replacing both springs, he cleaned and lubricated the mechanism and, without charge, fixed a mechanical problem with one of the sensors. He was very efficient, exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced, professional in every respect, and responsive to questions we had. He also offered some useful advice about how to make the door more energy-efficient (things we can do ourselves, not things we would have to hire them to do). I wish every company we've hired for various things like this had employees like him! We will certainly call upon Garage Gadgetry the next time we need anything done on our door and strongly recommend them to others. Angi5We've used Garage Gadgetry several times over the last 7-8 years. We are happy with the service every time. It finally occurred to me this last time that we need to write a good review because we have appreciated everything about the way Tom does business. Angi5His first available appointment was two days later. He showed up promptly and replaced the springs, then spent ten minutes showing me the workings of the overhead door and how to maintain it. We would definitely hire him again. Services Rendered: Tom correctly diagnosed the problem with our garage door over the phone ("Go look at the springs above the door. Is one of them broken?")

Angi5I Called Garage Gadgetry and got a call back same day. I made an appt for a couple of days later. Not only was he on time, but a little early and actually called my cell phone because I had a note on the door that said "please don't ring door bell, baby sleeping"!!! Figured out the issue super fast and because it was "minor" he wouldn't let me pay him. I tried too! We will be needing a new garage door opener soon and I will 100% give Garage Gadgetry a call! Services Rendered: Garage door was not going up and down!

Angi5Garage Gadgetry was VERY responsive. We contacted them through Angie's List, and they were able to come out and give us an estimate on new door and new door opener. They made it easy! We now have an amazingly quiet door that looks beautiful on our recently updated home. They came promptly and left everything in great condition. We love our new door, and we would definitely recommend Garage Gadgetry to friends! Services Rendered: We needed a new garage door, since our old one was 36 years old and barely hanging on. We wanted a better quality door than what we had, one that would look nice on our recently updated home, and easy to use.

Angi5I called late on Friday about my primary garage door which only went up about six inches then stopped. The owner answered promptly, asked the questions that led to a good understanding of what had gone wrong, the size of the door, and the kind of springs it used. He said the rest of that day was booked, but he could have a tech out at 9 AM the next morning. Precisely on time, the tech pulled up in a company van and evaluated the situation in person, agreed with the diagnosis (one broken helical spring and the other one undersized. The remaining spring was also 12 years old which is a reasonably life span for springs, I told him to replace both at this service call. He advised me that the door and the rails appeared sound, but if the motor was original for the house, then it was nearing the end of its lifespan and told me how to identify the most likely failure mode if the door failed to operate. He explained the guarantee on today's work and had the parts with him. Half an hour later, he had replaced the springs, lubricated the moving parts and checked the door's safety features. I call that a complete job and quick, too. The cost was about what I had expected, so I'm good on all counts with the work, the company, and their customer service. Services Rendered: Replaced double-garage door springs

Google5These guys are amazing. Super responsive, reliable, professional, and are available 24/7. They just came and fixed my garage door and didn't even charge me! Last September I was in a similar situation (door hanging off the tracks) and made the mistake of calling Mark's Garage Doors who totally ripped me off charging $900 to fix a broken spring. I learned my lesson, and after today's experience I will be calling Garage Gadgetry for any future garage door needs and will be recommending them to everyone.
