I had eight storm windows and two picture windows installed on my home. I made this a priority since I had some plaster damaged due to water getting in. Most of mine were missing or broken before I moved in. The process was seamless and a much better solution financially for me. Originally, I tried looking into fixing some of the windows. However, they could not be fixed without having the frames.
If you are looking for storm windows, Bushey's is the only company I could find that could install them in Fort Wayne. I scheduled my appointment in the summer of 2023, and I was able to get them installed that October. The city helped them build a relationship with a dealer due to the historical homes in Fort Wayne. I had been told by multiple companies that they could get storm windows, but they found out they couldn't get them anymore. There was an aluminum shortage during the pandemic and big manufacturers like Larson stopped selling storm windows. Hopefully, this helps someone else if they just need storm windows.
Bushey's installed my windows in record time in about two hours. The gentlemen were very nice. There was one basement window that broke during the install of a window above it, and Bushey's had that window fixed the following week by another company they work with. It says a lot about a company with how they handle things like that.
I couldn't be more grateful to Bushey's for an alternative that saved me a lot of money and that kept my old inner wooden windows intact. Below is an image of a storm window from the outside, and there is a picture from the inside. The new storm window is on the left side of the indoor photo. It is much better than replacing all of the inner window panes in my opinion. Thank you to Jim and his team!
