The sales manager did not return my phone calls. I wanted to change the color. I finally got hold of a salesman and he said he would check. Another week or more has gone by and when I called him again this morning he said that I could not change the color. This has transpired over a period of weeks. I finally got a phone number that someone answered. I got the number from an Anderson Window salesman. This is outrageous…I PAID A DEPOSIT of $3622 on April 24th and then had to finally get a phone number that someone would answer and then after 2 weeks I had to call to be told that I could not change the color. Services Rendered: New garage door to meet hurricane requirements
Agreed to a $59.00 fee for them to come out and see if the door could be repaired. It could not so I arranged for an estimate. (They failed to mention there would be a $2.25 credit card fee.) Person came out on 4-4 to do the estimate. He wanted to show it to me on his laptop, I asked him to send it to me via email, which he agreed to do. He verbally quoted the least expensive option, as I remember it, at about $5,400. I again asked him to send it to me via email and he again agreed, but I sensed some reluctance on his part. On 4-5, having not received the estimate I called the company and requested of the woman who answered that the email be sent to me. She said she would contact the estimator and pass along the message. On 4-6, having still not received anything, I called and spoke to the same woman. I asked to speak to the owner or manager. I was told neither was available and that she would have the manager call me, and she would also send another request to the estimator. It is now after business hours on the 6th and I have received neither the call back nor the estimate. I received another estimate from a long established local company of $3,480. I needed the estimate from Allied for my insurance company. Those are the facts. My sense of what happened is that since I didn't sign up for their wildly inflated cost on the spot they have no interest in sending an estimate they know will look like just what it is compared to others: a ripoff.
Great selection of garage doors. The Driftwood Planks looks amazing. Knowledgeable staff, and awesomely me installation crew.
The garage door spring snapped late in the evening, leaving our door stuck. I called in the morning and they came out the same day. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable technicians, and a very reasonable price for the repair. Thanks, Allied Door - Great job! Tom Ewing
Arrived on time, told us what was wrong (we kind of knew) and charged a fair price to fix. Efficient and cleaned up after. Scott and jim were our techs. I'm tough to impress and they definitely deserve all five stars.
Set an appointment to have garage door springs replaced. Was given a window of 2-5 pm. No show and no call from the business to say they were running late. I finally received a called at 5:15 p.m. saying they would not be there for another 45 minutes. Had to leave so ask to call the next morning to schedule a time. No call until 11 am the next day and no appointment available until the following week (as it was a Friday). Canceled and called another company only to find out their quote for the service was about 10% more than the other company I hired to complete the service. Services Rendered: Replace garage door springs
It didn't turn out very well. It was ok. The door made noise. He oiled it or whatever, and it was a little better. I have a thing that you put on the door for hurricane protection. He kept saying that it was hitting up against the garage door but I've never had that problem before. He put the stuff on and it did sound a bit better but then the next day it was back again. I called him and he came back out and puttered around with it and left. It's still noisy. We've used them in the past. I've always had very good luck with them. They have been very good. They were out here very quickly and when called back they were here within a day or so. Services Rendered: Door service.
The service was fine. As far as price, I think it’s comparable. They’re very efficient, on time and pricing was fair. The workers were just fine. That was the first time I used this company. Services Rendered: He replaced the rollers and he said something about lubricating some stuff.
It was a good experience. The overall experience was excellent. They didn't charge anything because they had just installed a brand new system in May and it was still under warranty. I really liked that they fixed it. The workers were very nice. They were courteous and did what they were supposed to do. I would give them a C because it broke within a month. Services Rendered: They fixed the garage door.
Excellent ! Issac was early, fast , efficient and professional. My garage door works so much better and it is quieter. Services Rendered: Garage door service
Excellent, work was completed, door works much better. Services Rendered: Roller replacement through Angies List deal.
They came when scheduled, even early, and the service technician was knowledgeable, and accomplished the work quickly. Nice job all the way around and pointed out some things that might become issues in the future. I would work with them again. Services Rendered: I contracted through Angie"s List for a Garage Door tune up and roller replacement.
I called the company after receiving an add from Angies List for a "tune-up" special. Regularly $99.50 for $39.95. I specifically asked the agent when I set up the appointment if they still honored the advertised special. When questions what I needed done I explained general tune up, lube hinges and rollers and realign the electronic eyes, and was advised that is exactly what is covered with their tune up. The technician showed up right on time and was very professional, doing exactly what was agreed upon. Upon leaving I was given a bill for $99.50, which I refused to pay. The technician contacted the company who denied giving me the $39.95 quote. I contacted the manager and after numerous attempts by him to tell me I got more than a tune up because the technician spent more than 20 minutes at my home, even though I explained to him much of that time was spent answering some of my question concerning replacing my door opener. He finally told me he would accept the $39.95 payment then hung up on me. I was planning on replacing both the chain drive door opener with a belt drive as well as replacing all the rollers with nylon rollers, but it won't be Allied Doors doing the work! Services Rendered: Garage door tuned up, lube hinges and rollers and lined up electric eyes
Overall it went very well. Technician was not particularly happy about having to scrape paint off between the joints but he did it. Installed new rollers, tightened the spring and in addition added new bottom bracket and door seal. There was an additional fee beyond the original special on Angie's list for that. The door works much better. Services Rendered: Adjustment of garage door.
