andre was able to diagnose one of my problems over the phone. on arrival for yearly maintenance he noticed a defective roller. after the work was completed, the door is quieter and in better alignment. gary

Provided service call late on a Friday night and got the door functional so we could secure the garage and house. The next day replaced the worn parts and aligned the door and tracks so the door operated smoothly. Excellent service and attention to details.

TITLE: "The Tale of Two (A+) Service Calls" ACT ONE - SCENE ONE: 2003; residential neighborhood cul-de-sac SETTING: Single family, one-story home with two car garage CAST: First-time homeowners PLOT LINE: Garage door and Genie Excelerator Opener installation After months of manually raising and lowering our two car garage door, my wife and I finally decided to purchase an automatic garage door opener and new garage door. With no idea on how to begin researching qualified and reasonable installers, I turned to my trusty 'little red' Yelp! app for help. Whittling the entries down to a short list of three potential candidates, I set forth on scheduling quotes. Shortly after meeting the three prospective owners and obtaining a bid from each, it was clear that Adam from ADM Garage Doors was the breakaway favorite. He was professional, clean, promptly on-time, warmly personable, and demonstrated an honest demeanor; unlike the other two "big-name" candidates whom were curt, short, and expressed their impatience by gleaning over our questions. In addition, the bid offered by Adam was very reasonable and came in below the other two businesses. Adam arrived early the following day and not only did he efficiently install our new, sectional garage door and the Genie Excellerator opener, he also cleaned up his work area and garage floor of all debris and trash; removing old parts and products. After clicking the garage door opener button one morning, I noticed the garage door making a loud, repetitive 'clacking' noise and stalled/stopped mid way while attempting to open. I visually inspected the drive-screw and noticed a break between two sections. With the pedestrian knowledge personally accrued, I surmised the entire drive-screw needed replacement, or worse yet a new opener. Since Adam has been my only resource for garage door assistance, I immediately called his number that's been stored in my phone for 20 years. He immediately picked up and hearing his familiar voice on the other end was a comforting sound. I prefaced our past encounter almost a quarter century ago and explained my current situation. Adam greatly obliged to help and asked if I was comfortable with FaceTiming so he could virtually assess the break in the drive-screw. Not taking advantage of my novice understanding of garage door mechanics, he advised with 98% confidence the issue was an easy and inexpensive self-fix; recommending replacement of the carriage trolly ($23.95 on Amazon). After ordering the part and spending approximately only 30 minutes working on it, my 13 year old son and I replaced the old carriage trolley together with the new one. As such, I am happy to report that we now have a working garage door opener once again. I highly recommend Adam of ADM Garage Doors for any related garage door services. ADM and Andre were fantastic in dealing with our time issue, and door repair. Andre rearranged his own schedule to work with ours, and had our door installed in a timely matter, and thanks to his experience we have a much better door. If I ever need door service again, I know who to call.
My property manager recommended ADM Garage Doors because my garage door was really old and sounded like a box of rocks when I used it. It literally sounded like it was going to break in half at any given moment. I wasn't using it anymore and fixing my door was a non-emergency situation so we scheduled ADM to come out a few days later. Andre came right on schedule and gave me a quote to install a whole new garage door system including the unit, rails and belt. We scheduled the install a few days out but then much to my surprise he worked well into the evening and completed the whole job that very same day! His work is professional, he is very knowledgeable and friendly and his service is outstanding. Will recommend him to anyone and everyone that needs a great garage door company!
We cannot express how thankful we are that we called Andre at ADM Garage Doors, Inc. My husband had hired someone else to fix our garage and they did an absolute horrible job...they installed the wrong parts, way over charged us and made our garage door dangerous to operate. Once my husband discovered the terrible job the previous company did he called Andre at ADM Garage Doors. Andre came over the same day we called, he diagnosed the problems and explained everything. You can tell he is a true professional and an expert in his trade. He gave us a great quote for labor and parts and repaired everything the next day! We have three little children and knowing that we don't have to worry about a dangerous garage door falling on one of them brings tremendous piece of mind. Andre also went above and beyond to give us advice about recouping some of the money we lost from the previous company that ripped us off and they are actually going to refund us a large portion for the faulty service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADM, UNLESS you want to work with an UNPROFESSIONAL guy and OVERYPAY for cheap parts, poor labor and a BAD Attitude then ADM is the company for YOU! READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW IT IT'S ALL FACTS it was a storm warning and my wife just purchased a new car. She didn't want it to get wet so she had me research garage door repair. After unsuccessfully securing a garage repair company in short notice my brother in law referred me to a guy he used for his own house. after speaking with Andre on the phone he sounded decent and because of the distance from Folsom to Elk Grove (25 miles) he wanted $100 upfront , *already a bad sign he also mentioned that he would be in Rancho Cordova which is 16 miles away and he still wanted to charge me that amount because of the traffic which is BS because traffic dies out at 10a after arriving 10 minutes late he pulls up and picks up the phone 3 times before even looking at the garage, asks me immediately if I have the 100 dollars and has me wait for him while he fields other calls and quotes on my freaking time (which is not professional). 10 minutes in the install he asks if he can use the bathroom, I say we cant because we take care of my wifes mom and she can not be around strangers because she is on a breathing machine and didn't want her to be exposed to outsiders. with no remorse or pity Screaming at the TOP of His Lungs raging he says and I quote "If I SHIT ON MYSELF I AM NOT COMING BACK I was like dude your coming back you have 100 of my hard earned dollars, there's a freaking jack in the box around the corner. after telling my wife what happened she said it was up to me and I ultimately decided to just freaking deal with this jerk because he had our money and that our car needed to be put in the garage. The nerve of this guy to come back like a weasel and change his tune and pretend like nothing happened. I said I am only doing this because you have my money. He says sorry about that he really had to go, I told him I don't care you don't freaking yell at your customers like that. Very Unprofessional. He also mentioned that he hopes that a review doesn't make it on yelp because it would ruin his business. (dude if you treat customers like this that is your own doing) he proceed to install this brand called LINEAR I should have asked prior but I found out from research and from other garage repair companies that Linear is the cheapest crappiest brand out there it is actually discontinued in a lot of places. Why would you sell such a cheap brand? I am guessing profit margin and he wants to make the most profit and not care about quality, makes sense he's a classy guy. He is going to defend a brand that was originally sold on Walmart. The whole install he kept talking about how great trump was, I told him I don't talk politics but that didn't stop him from saying Trump is going to build that wall and how he can't wait. On top of overcharging me for a cheap brand, asking for 100 dollars on top of my costs he wanted to charge me 3.5 percent on top of his 1300 bill. I am getting reamed big time. After a few months of dealing with the crappy garage door opener, a storm hit us and guess what, the machine short circuited. It did not have a backup battery which is illegal see California SB-969 Battery Backup law I call Andre and he says I need to call the manufacturer and for him to repair it it would cost 3-400 dollars, I was like what, you sell me a piece of crap and you want me to pay for your time again, No way I AM DONE WITH YOU! so I call the company who I felt was better initially who could not do the repairs due to being booked. Local Garage Door. After a recommendation to purchase a better quality brand, Chamberlain its the same parts as the top brand LiftMaster just a different label and slightly lower cost, I finally book my appointment with local garage door 1. they took a look at the garage door said it was nice quality. Come to find out it was one of their doors. 2. The installer asked who did the work. I said Andre from ADM , the installer says ya he buys his garage doors from US. after having to replace the crappy linear brand that he sold us the installer from local garage door says "I cant believe he sold you a linear, it is known for having defects and being cheap and of poor quality, I CAN NOT BELIEVE HE TOOK THIS MANY SHORTCUTS, The wires shouldn't have been done this way, and it looks like a rush job." It makes my job harder when it should have been done right the first time, it took him an extra 30 minutes because of the poor work that was put into it initially. He showed me the poor work that Andre did and what should have been done and boy was Andres install a mess. After showing me how he Andre did it which was the wrong way and how he did it I was very confident in the work that they did Stay away from ADM call anyone but ADM you will thank yourself.
4 minutes ago I have 2 carriage doors that are 8 yrs. old and one of them needed a new sprocket/gear drive because the door hadn't been balanced for awhile and at 700lbs. it was putting a tremendous load on the opener. Finally, all the sprocket teeth had disintegrated except for 1. Opening and closing the chain driven opener the door had now become dangerous. I'm a fairly big guy and I could not come close to opening the door manually which in itself is also dangerous. I did some checking on the web for a repair man and when I called Andre at ADM Garage Doors on a Friday evening he called me back within 5 mins.. He had an answer to every one of my questions and when I asked for a quote he gave me one that wasn't the lowest but you get what you pay for and I wanted it done right but at a fair price. He said he could come out the next day (Saturday) between 9-11am and at 9:30 the next day I got a call and an email with the quote and what services we'd agreed upon. Very professional. I was still a little wary of him because during the time we were talking about price he said the springs could be bad and need replacement ( 4 springs per door) instead of just tightening the springs for the door balance. I didn't know if he'd try and sell me new springs when I didn't really need them. ( 4 springs per door ) Anyway, he showed up on time and used proper Covid protocol and got to work. He ended up adjusting the springs instead of saying they were bad. And by the time he was done I could raise and lower the door with ease. And when it came to replacing the sprocket/gear unit which I already had bought the kit, he told me I could use the lower sprocket on the drive ( top one was shot but this was a dual sprocket gear)and it would actual work better for such a heavy door ( money saved). Now he'd done what we 'D agreed upon but wait! He also lubricated the door AND the other door that wasn't involved. He also moved the entire door and track to center. It had been knocked out of center, He balanced it from each side and adjusted the tracks . He also permanently affixed the electric eye carriers that were clipped on and would always get out of alignment. He showed me what I needed to do periodically to maintain the doors. He gave me a handful of screws so I could replace the stripped ones on the hinges. He went above and beyond on my job and had the expertise to know what needed to be done to make my door perfect. I'm hard to please and I couldn't be happier. I'd recommend Andre to anyone who wants the job done right with the best technician, at a fair price. I called Andre because our garage doors were having problems opening and closing. He came out the next day, gave us a short-term and long-term options giving us just what we needed to make a decision. We scheduled the work to happen the next day and couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend ADM Garage Door.
This is our second time using ADM. Each time he came out right away, arrived on time, had the necessary parts to finish the job the first time & offered ways to educate ourselves on how to take care of our garage door for long lasting use. We also found the cost to be very reasonable. We would use ADM again.
After having another company come out and tell me that my entire garage door and all comportments needed to be replaced, I called ADM Garage Doors and asked for a second opinion. It turned out I really needed some bearings and brackets replaced for a total of about $300. Andre came the same day and did a very professional job. I also had ADM change my garage door opener because the one I had was 20 years old and was very noisy. Again, Andre completed the replacement same day and did a very professional job. I had previously priced the garage door opener elsewhere and his prices are excellent compared to other pricing. I would recommend ADM to anyone needing repair or service.
Andre did a fantastic job from start to finish. I had an old door that wasn't working right and wanted to replace it. I had something specific in mind. He spent a lot of time researching and locating what I was looking for in the best price and availability. He also laid out all of my options, no pressure, on the motor and the rest of the door. He had a better price than the bigger companies I called and gave me more options. On the day of he did a great job installing the door. Gave me a run down of all the operations. I went with a special door with a tinted glass. It turned out and runs great. Won't go anywhere else.
Excellent. Arrived on schedule for next-day service and work was quickly finished. Garage door now opening better then ever. Services Rendered: Installed new Torsion Springs. The old ones had snapped the day before.
Punctual, professional, and communicative. I had another guy from a big name store come by to evaluate our garage and was trying to oversell the repair and install of the garage opener and giving me estimate of $1k for first to replace all the door support before even toughing our garage door opener. This is after making an appointment days in advance and taking a day off to be there... I then decided to call local guys and called ADM. The owner picked up after the second ring, and agreed to come the same day (only two hours later.) He had all the equipment and not only replaced and install with new and improved garage door opener, but also oiled all the railings on the door, and also custom installed support for the door. All for less than just the garage door from the original guys (I'm no sure if I should mention the other guys names in Angie's list, they started with $ and end with $) Anyways, the job was done pretty fast but thoroughly and was extremely done well. I hope the other garage door doesn't go any time soon, but if it does, I know who to call.
