The spring broke on my garage door with both my cars trapped in the garage. I called and they were here within an hour. Came back in a couple of days and replaced the spring. Charged me a fair price. Great place and great work.

First, I've lived in many houses, as we used to buy, fix up, and sell. The house I bought 7 years ago and still live in has an oustanding, excellent garage door installed by Mike Peterson at Eureka Overhead Door Co -- gorgeous fit, never even the whisper of noise, and so on. But it gets better -- So I noticed that the garage door had been bashed by one of our vehicles, which had bent one of the wheeled hinges that travels in the rails to the sides of the garage door, resulting in a bulge, a gap between the garage door and the opening. So... I contacted Eureka Overhead Door Co over on 3rd street in Eureka, as he is the ONLY local company that stocks this particular kind of door hinge (a Wayne Dalton hinge). Now get this -- he had my door installation on file still (far more than 7 years ago), he knew EXACTLY the hinges he had used, and he GAVE me a new one with the self-tapping screws (unnecessary as it turned out) that I would use if the original holes were unusable. He GAVE it to me. free. and he knew my door, its hardware, its HINGES, for crying out loud! It simply cannot get any better. Thank You, Mike Peterson and Eureka Overhead Door Company!!!!!

Ancient garage door broke a spring. They gave a super competitive estimate the same day, sent a tech to measure the spring the next day, installed the springs the following day. No drama. I wish every business transaction could be so easy.

We have an old garage door opener. The spring broke but the door still worked very slow. We called Eureka Overhead Door, they came that day! Upon arrival wearing a mask, we could tell the serviceman knew what he was doing. He checked it out... We were sure we would be advised to get new equipment. But NO! He could order the part! A week later, they were back, did the installation and my door works perfectly. The spring is in place, all wires are secured in place. We couldn't be happier. Totally recommend Eureka Overhead Door!!

Tried to work with the owner, Mike, on getting a residential overhead door. I had to work really hard to be provided a few quotes over the course of a few months. I could never get a phone call returned. I had to call in and leave several voicemails or messages with the front desk, which would never be returned. I'd just have to catch him the few hours when he's actually in the office. There was a little lull in contact when I went out of town for 2 weeks and when I called to check in on a couple more quotes, he couldn't find the quotes he had been working with, and passed me off as calling the wrong over head door place!!! I expressed my frustration over his unreliability in returning phone calls and his actions giving the appearance that he didn't want my business. He then admits that's he's too busy to leave the metropolis of Eureka to do any other work. Thanks for wasting my time over several months by not being upfront and honest. Let's just say it: Mike and his company Eureka Overhead don't want work outside Eureka, and are frightened to tell you so.

Bought 2 door openers, one for shop then one for home. They work well, and when the remotes didnt want to work Mike fixed them for me. Good company to use for openers.

Horrible service. I busted my ass to be home during the work week for an agreed upon 12:30 appt. It was agreed between me and the woman on the phone that if they couldn't make it or I couldn't make it at that time, there would be a phone call. Got home, waited.....and nothing. I called and she says she didn't agree to that. "I said we'd try to be there by then", which is an outright lie. I don't know what their capable of doing as far a actual service goes, but don't rely on PROMPT service!

It is refreshing to receive excellent value and service from Eureka Overhead Door Company. They were recommended to me by Genie, the manufacturer of the garage door opener. Terry & Mike were great in giving me the information I needed to make a good selection and choose the best value garage door opener for our needs and set up an appointment to install it. The price including installation was fair and a good deal. Ryan and Jake came by and did a top-notch job installing the unit and it worked perfectly. They were fast, efficient, friendly and even cleaned up after themselves, so my garage looked even better after this finished their work. Having an automatic garage door opener in Eureka, with all of the rain we receive is a blessings! Thank you!

Ryan and Eric were very knowledgeable about the Genie garage door (even though it is 15 plus years old), and efficient with their time. Thought I was looking at a little more than a service charge. These fellows made the adjustments that were needed, and all it cost me was the service charge! I highly recommend this company. They made an appt for us on the same day we called, and it was a holiday! Professional, kind folks to work with= A+! Great job guys!

My 50 year old garage door broke a spring. I called Overhead Door and got a polite and informed response from Jenny. Ryan was out the next day with new springs. He did an excellent job replacing the springs and tuning up my vintage door opener all for what I consider a very reasonable price. Great folks and excellent service for a fair price. What more could you ask for?

Ordering was very easy They actually wanted to put in the order when i first went in. Unfortunately, my garage isn't standard size so I had some one come out and measure everything. The gentleman was out a day or two later and determined it was an off sized door. Since this was a special order it took a couple weeks to get the door in. This is really ti issue i had. I was told that the door would be in on a monday and they would call me to set up a day to come out as soon as it was in. The week it was supposed to be in there was no call. I figured it would be in the next week. When I did receive a call the next tuesday I cal on wednesday am. Yes the door was in and they were out the next day (thursday). The work was done about 2 or 3 and they carted the old door away. Cost was actually about 40 dollars less than quoted. Over all a great experience with one minor glitch. Eureka Overhead Door Co. came out and gave me an estimate...One week later the part were in and installed a day ahead of schedule...The final cost was accurate and their employee was fast and did the job perfectly...I would recommend them to anyone in the Humboldt Co. area. m the We only contacted Eureka Overhead Door for a bid on our two car garage based on the recomendation of friends. Eureka overhead Door was very prompt in providing us with a bid and leaving us a broucher from which to select the style and color of the new door. They called to schedule a time to install the door once it had arrived. (there was a delay of three weeks because the color of door we selected was not in stock) The removal of the old door and the instalation of the new door took a little less then one day. Eureka Overhead Door left our garage in the condition they found except for the new doo. Services Rendered: Replaced an overhead door on a two car garage.

Our garage door opener motor was unable to lift the garage door by its self. Someone would have to help lift the door while the motor strained. We lived with it this way for a long time but finally call Eureka Overhead Door Co. They were able to come out and fix it quickly. I should have called them much sooner. Services Rendered: They tightened the garage door spring so the garage door opener motor could lift & open the door.
