I called first thing in the morning and Amanda was extremely helpful and friendly and told me they likely couldn't come the same day, but would try. By noon I got a call saying they'd be out before 5.. same day! Caleb was so nice and helpful when he arrived. Excellent service!

Our garage door spring busted at the end of the day on a Friday. We called a couple of places but when we called Sholes he dispatched some young men who were soon here and were able to manually raise the door so we could get our car out!! Then Josh came back on Monday right on time and fixed it efficiently! What a tremendous relief.

Super helpful! A couple of years ago Sholes installed a very large garage door on our garage that is home to a large sprinter van. After the earthquake in Eureka, we had to release the door to lift manually since we had no electricity. When we went back we couldn't get the garage to lift. It wouldn't budge! We tried everything the manual said to try. We finally called Sholes to have them come for a service call. We spoke with Allen (Alan) and he walked us through problem-solving on the phone. Then he suggested it might have gotten stuck under the header. Sure enough, one person pulled the door back while I pushed the button and it lifted without an issue! We really appreciate the time he took to help us with this issue. I can imagine they are especially busy right now. I highly recommend Sholes Overhead Door!

Great company! First off the owner gave me honest advice that saved me money! When I called for an installation he offered one of his employees to come over on a Sunday. Josh (great guy!!!) called before heading over, arrived on time, and performed the installation in a professional manner. He was quite personable, extremely neat and clean, and made sure we understood all functionality of the new garage door opener before he left. You could not ask for a nicer guy! I highly recommend this company for all your service and new installation needs when it comes to automatic door and gate openers!

We purchased new garage doors from Sholes Overhead Door about 5 years ago. We love them. About a year and a half ago we started having an issue with one of the wall panel opening buttons. I didn't do anything about it and then the pandemic hit. Recently I finally decided to call them about fixing it. The gentlemen came out quickly and fixed it for us. Loved the great service we got. Guess I'll just add my accolades to the many others of this local business. We tried several other companies before we discovered Sholes. But our crumbling old garage doors were slip-fitted around some built-in cabinets, and no one would touch them. They said we'd have to find someone to remove the cabinets first. But the cabinets couldn't be removed before the doors came out unless we destroyed them. They're nice big redwood cabinets and very useful, so we didn't want to lose them. Tearing them out was not exactly a job that appealed to any of the carpenters we tried to find. We'd about given up when we asked Sholes to come out and have a look at our doors. They immediately said the doors were no problem because they'd simply cut the door runners and framing away from the cabinets. Then they even said they'd do their best to remove the built-in cabinets without destroying them at a slight extra cost -- just their hourly labor rate. So we ordered doors. It took kind of a while for them to get the doors and then get us scheduled -- this is (not surprisingly) a BUSY company! They eventually got around to us and they whipped right through the removal of the old doors and cabinets and installation of the new doors. They made it look almost easy. And what an excellent job! In our old house, nothing is square or level, but Sholes knew exactly how to fit and adapt everything for maximum fit, security, and appearance. They even came back later to install some special weather stripping for us at no added cost. I can't say enough about Sholes's outstandingly professional and productive attention to solving our somewhat unusual installation problems. They were friendly and helpful all along the way, and we simply couldn't be more satisfied or grateful. BTW, it turned out to be fairly easy to remove the cabinets after the doors were down, so they didn't even charge us extra! That's a neighbor, neighbor! If you're looking at new or replacement garage door installation, I can happily advise you to call Sholes first! (This is a recommendation, not a paid commercial -- I'm not getting any compensation for this review except the satisfaction of praising people who do great work in a world where that is hard to find.)

Great company, I definitely recommend. A spring broke on my garage door and Sholes was able to fix it within a week of my phone call. To replace both springs it cost $199.

We had an old wooden single piece garage door that needed replacing. I contacted Sholes Overhead Door, and they scheduled a free consultation, which occurred within a few days of my initial call. So, nice prompt service there. During the consultation, I told Allen that we were interested in a simple stainless steel door, and Allen discussed with me what would need to be done, since our garage is 80-100 years old and some dimensions were funky. Sholes provided us with a reasonable estimate, and so we placed an order. Sholes provided us with the timeframes to expect for the order to be placed and finished (3-4 weeks) and when we could expect installation; they were already booked out 6-8 weeks from when I placed the order. And that was acceptable. On the day of installation, Allen & Caleb arrived on time and completed the job within 4 hours. And they hauled the old door away. The new door fits & works great, and looks good, too. They had to do some wood work to make it fit, and that work looks good. Bottom line, Sholes provided us with excellent service; they worked quickly and did great work. I recommend them, if you need a garage door replaced.
