I was very pleased with the job that Scotty Dudley did from Overhead Door Company. He was fast and efficient and got it repaired quickly.
American Overhead Door Inc. came out within hours of my service request. Their technician, Russ, was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He checked the entire garage door unit, and then gave me a few options. I decided to replace the operator, and Russ was back within an hour with the replacement and had the whole unit updated and working two hours later. He also fixed a bracket on the door that was missing a bolt, and added tension to the spring. The new system is great! I highly recommend this company.
Give them a 4.5 because i could get online at 4 am and make an appointment for same day! It was sad to find that I had a Precision Door opener, which they can't help me with! Cost me $120.00 to find this out! Perhaps when the lady was asking me questions about the problems I was having, she should first ask me what brand of garage door opener I have, to see if they really repair them!
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stop by Overhead door on Madison Blvd. No appointments needed at American Overhead Door, they have an in office staff who is knowledgeable and willing to help walk in customers. I'm glad I did..world class service by a team willing to help.
Update, 23 March 2023. I called American Overhead Door again this morning, as it appeared that the 12 year old spring bar had failed above my garage door. The wonderful lady was great, as usual, and she had the repair technicians out right away! Curt and Jason were fantastic. Professional, courteous, and efficient. I was fixed in less than an hour, and all is right. Great service, great and fair pricing! Original review, from one year before: The best garage door company in town, bar none. I used American Overhead Door Inc a few years ago to replace a storm-damaged door, and was very happy with their timely and professional service. This morning I called them, to ask for help with my elderly (OEM ) garage door motor and chain. It was dead. (I really thought that they would be too busy, and make me an appointment for a few days from now.) Let me tell you, Kim and Rhonda helped me greatly, found a way to squeeze me into their schedule, and they had a technician at my house within a couple hours! TODAY no less! Fantastic, and I was so happy. My technician, Curt Luna, was just the best. Cheerful, professional, and very skilled and competent. He installed an all-new Genie system (motor, chain rail, brackets, sensors, everything) in an hour and a half. He was such a fabulous fellow. And he found a way to work around my odd garage roof architecture without any cutting or modifying of what I had going on. All the old stuff was hauled away, and the cost was very reasonable. And this new system works fantastic. Smooth, quiet, and solid. I recommend American Overhead Door Inc most wholeheartedly. They are just the best. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Last night I heard a loud bang and thought it may be a gunshot. Went outside and no one was around so went to the garage to go outside on that side of the house, but the garage door woundn't open. I looked up and found my noise along with a new problem, the spring had broken on my garage door. I called American Overhead Door early this morning before their open hours and a very nice young lady answered and listened to my problem, because we had two cars in the garage and couldn't get them out to go anywhere. She said they were booked for the entire day, but, because of my emergency she would get someone out right away when the techs came into work at 7:30. Sure enough at 8:10 am, a repairman drove into my driveway. He looked at my situation got the springs and tools out of his truck and went to work right away. He repaired it and adjusted the door, as it was also out of alignment. Gave me the cost and I paid gladly for the great service everyone gave me. Thank your American Overhead Door for pleasing this old man greatly!!
one of my two garage door cables broke while attempting to open the door yesterday morning at 7:30 am. I called American at about 8:15 and explained my problem to the attentive representative. She sent out repairman and he was at my house within the hour of my call. Repairman was courteous and efficient. within 3 hours of the initial breakdown the door was repaired. I will always call these guys when I need garage door repairs. Great experience.
The spring on my garage door broke and overhead door company come out the next day and within a little over an hour, my garage door was fixed. Dan was very good and knowledgeable about what he was doing and even give me some pointers on how to make my door work more efficiently. I was very pleased with the service and the price. Also I would highly recommend Dan to do the repairs.
