Mike was really great at fixing our garage door. He recognized the problem immediately and gave us 2 solutions (either replace the garage controller completely or repair a part of it). He was very good at explaining what was wrong with it. We chose to replace the garage controller and he gave us a very reasonable rate compared to other garage repair companies we contacted. He worked on it very quickly. When he was done, he explained all the features of our new garage controller and even installed the number pad for it for free. He explained to us a common issue regarding the sensors of new controllers and how to fix it, saving us from future emergency calls. He also gave us a one year warranty. He even hauled away our old garage controller. He was very professional and courteous. He also responded to our call the day of, which happened to be Sunday on New Year's Eve. We're so thankful. Mike and his team did a great job! My garage door opener was having issues. He promptly arrived at my house and installed a new opener. In addition, he noticed that my rollers needed adjustment. He took care of everything for a very fair price. I would highly recommend them.
I needed to get my garage door trim and bottom seal replaced and also have the door lubed and adjusted. I asked a neighbor if they knew of anyone local and they recommended Overhead Door Solutions. I called them and talked to Mike and he said he could come out the next day between 10 and 12. He showed up within his appointment time and completed the job to my satisfaction. He was very professional. If I need to have the garage door worked on again in the future I will defiantly call Overhead Door Solutions.
About a year after moving to a home that is 18 years old, we began hearing a loud metal cracking sound when closing our garage door. We thought the springs needed replacing. My husband called Overhead Door Solutions due to excellent recommendations on our Temecula area "Nextdoor." My husband talked with the owner, Mike, and it was determined this was not an emergency because the door was still functioning. Nevertheless, Mike was able to schedule an appt two days from then. He arrived within the time frame he had scheduled, and even gave us a call 20 minutes prior to arriving. When observing the door closing, he immediately determined that the problem wasn't the springs, but a small crack in one of the metal door panels due to a warped panel causing metal fatigue. The crack did not show from the outside. To prevent it from cracking further, Mike added two metal braces across the garage door. (This was a less expensive repair than replacing the springs would have been. Mike explained that the springs had been replaced, were high quality, and would last for several more years.) Before leaving, Mike even lubricated the hinges, rollers and springs. His repair and preventive work took about 20 minutes. Mike has been doing this for 30 years. He is thoroughly competent, congenial, punctual, and honest. I never thought the sound of a garage door closing would be music to my ears!
