During some of the most challenging weather conditions that we experience as Iowans, this small company evaluated and resolved our issue in a very timely manner. Communication was exemplary, and we were more than pleased with our customer service experience. Would highly recommend!

Great customer service at Dan's, the understanding scheduler got me in within a couple of days. The service tech, Bryan Bishop, did an excellent job helping me understand what the problems were, and things to look for in the future, to ensure the safety of my garage door. He was efficient, with a great attitude. Thank you Dan for hiring such a great employee, that I feel like I can trust and depend on.

Have always treated me well when I need work on my garage door. Been using them for over 10 years. I like the fact that it's locally owned and not another chain.

Called on a Monday morning, had resolution by 2:00 pm Tuesday. We had Bryan as a technician and the dude was thorough, professional, and quick. We continue to have good luck with Dan's Overhead and would recommend them to anyone that wants the job done right the first time.

I've used them several time over the last 20 years for, wait for it, overhead door work. Both at a multi door warehouse and at my home. They do good work. Period. I like their older employees personally. Not just because of their experience but because they cut to the chase on price and issues.

I called at noon on Monday to ask when we could get a tech out to repair the door. I was told Friday at the earliest. I asked if there was an emergency rate, as our garage door was stuck open, and agreed to pay it so we could get it functioning. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call that they had a local tech running ahead of schedule and they were at my house by 1:15. It took him 20 minutes to complete the job. Since it was not during "overtime" hours, they also said they would charge me the normal rate. I am so happy and would recommend them to anyone!!

I encountered the same thing as other reviewer. I had already checked the sensor and the light would only go on part time; the wires were old, brittle and needed jiggling to work. The DOD repairman came out and repaired an unrelated problem, billed us $150 and the garage door still didn't work. We called them again. You have to be home(so more time taken off work), the repairman arrives and I tell him it's the sensor/light. Guess what; I was right. He gives me a 2nd service charge/bill for $150 and I questioned the charge for 2nd service call when it wasn't fixed the first time. The repairman (unprofessional, reeked, and towered over me- I'm 5ft2, 120lbs) started talking louder, told me, I "should have told him it was the sensor light the first time" and got belligerent when I told him that I was paying for his expertise to diagnose and fix the problem. He refused to remove the 2nd service call fee. I will never use them again!
