They claim to have the lowest prices. They don't. I paid $150 for a pair of springs. Amazon have them for $95- $125. I bought them here because I needed now. Also when I went to pay I asked Martha (cashier) specifically if there was an add on charge for paying with a debit card, she said if there is, it comes from my bank. So I used my debit card and needless to say there was a $5 extra charge on my card. So on the way home I called my bank and they said they did not add the $5 and has never had a charge for using their debit card. Called Martha back and she said now it was their credit card machine. So she knew up front it was going to charge me extra. She said she would refund me the money so I asked her to just put back on my card. She said she needed the card back at the store to refund. I was over half way home and it would cost me more time and money to go back. So I will never return back to Garage Door Brokers in Joplin Mo.

Although we had a mix-up in scheduling, they sent a young man out who stayed late to get a new garage door opener installed. I really appreciate that and the price was the lowest quote.

There are many promises made but they never happen. GDB did not turn this into an experience one would want to avoid. Our serviceperson arrived on time, both for the estimate and for the work itself. They were prompt, efficient and courteous. Highly recommend for any homeowner who's tired of their leaky, noisy, garage door. Services Rendered: Adjusted spring tension, replaced all seals, adjusted rollers in track, lubed chain, inspected cables.

I've always been a little apprehensive about garage doors, having had the springs on one break violently quite some years ago and also having the nylon gears wear out on a couple more, so I called GDB to check ours out. They get a lot of work and my son and his family even tend to use them instead of the front door. The GDB man was a mature, experienced guy who arrived within the five-hour time promised and who completed all four doors just within one hour, so the charge was $60 for all four. Turns out, none of the four needed any parts or it probably would have extended to a second hour. The work did include replacing a missing metal screw and re-aligning a couple of photo-sensors that had been acting up. I thought it was money well spent - adjustment, lubrication and peace of mind. Services Rendered: Cleaned, adjusted, lubricated two garage doors for me and two for my son down the street.

The guy that came out was very friendly, and he got my garage door working again. I had a single plug in surge protector and he put it in the plug in for me to protect my garage door opener from future power surges. He also replaced a light bulb on it while he was up there. A month later, a cord snapped on my garage door opener and I called Garage Door Brokers again. They came out immediately and fixed the problem. In the future, if I ever decide to replace my garage door opener, I will use Garage Door Brokers because I've had so much good luck with them already. Services Rendered: Our Craftsman garage door stopped working after we had a power surge in our house. I called Garage Door Brokers first thing in the morning, and asked if they worked on Sears garage doors. The guy told me they did, and he came out within an hour. It only took him about 30 minutes to fix the electrical component that was fried by the power surge.
