Amazing job. Wouldn't call anyone else. Came over immediately on a Saturday to replace springs. Not only did he check the springs, he checked all the other bolts to make sure they were tight and oiled everything up. Absolutely top notch.

Great experience and professional service. Highly recommend. My garage would not open. I called the main number and spoke to Karen, she was able to assist with scheduling service quickly. Jim came out quickly and determined the torsion spring was broken. He replaced the pair and check the unit. Jim was very knowledgeable, professional and skilled. Fair pricing and quality work. Thank you Jim and Karen!

The gentleman was very nice and explained everything to me thoroughly. My garage door spring broke. Not only did he replace the door springs, but he also added a safety guard and modified my chain on the garage door. My garage door is operating like it's brand new! 5 out of 5 would recommend this company!

Herb's is the only garage door company I will deal with. We have used them for over 35 years and they never disappoint. A new door was installed today and Jim is an absolute craftsman with the doors. He took the time to fix every small detail and it looks beautiful and everything is sealed up. I don't believe that there's anyone better.

After looking at several companies in the McHenry County area, one recommendation stood out, and I gave them a try. After calling, and explaining my needs, Jim came out 72 hours later, and took care of every nightmare I had! Competitive pricing, friendly service and hard work. I even told him after he completed the work, I wish there was 3 million more of you throughout the country. Hard to find good, quality service like this these days. Strongly recommend!

I truly wish every buying experience worked this well. Herb's provided good maintenance service on our two garage doors. We have one double-wide and one single width garage door. Each has automatic openers and neither had been professionally serviced in at least ten years. They were very noisy and the force adjustments were off. Herb's door service was on time per the scheduled appointment. They did a comprehensive "tune-up" of everything including rollers, springs, opener settings, and more. One rusted cable was replaced. Overall, I felt I received good quality service for a fair price; and my doors and openers are running more smoothly. I recommend this business to other homeowners.

So Herb's had serviced our garage for years, mostly small tic-tac stuff, such as help with garage door openers, etc., but they were always professional and didn't overcharge when they could have easily done so. That said, with a history of fairness and good customer service, when it came time to replace our garage doors, it was a no-brainer. We just worked with them from the get-go and, with that same track record, they delivered. They were fair and did great work!

Came to my rescue s as my car backed up faster than the garage door raised. I bent the bottom panel & knocked it off it's track. Took my husbands truck to my appointment since I couldn't get out of the garage. When I returned an hour later the garage door was back on track & restored enough to close & open till our part came in a week later. Appreciate the quick response, the excellent work & the more than fair price. We've used Herb's in the past to replace a garage door before selling our previous home & wouldn't think of using anyone else.

I went to Herb's for door replacement quote - largely since they had installed the doors for the builder about twenty years ago. All service as planned and promised, great job. When looking at doors at their store, I learned that Karen and Jim run the business together and handle everything themselves. No sub-contractors, no franchisee of a chain, etc. Also, the "Herb" was Jim and Karen's father. They continue to do justice to the family business. Just the kind of people you want to do business with.

Honest and fair. My husband was convinced the spring was broken and needed to be replaced. Received a quote over the phone which seemed reasonable and asked them to come out. Turns out the spring was NOT broken, just needed to be tightened. Asked to have both doors serviced (springs and rails adjusted and all moving parts lubricated). What a difference! They no longer squeal when opening but are nice and quiet. Will make a point to get my doors serviced on a more regular basis! He could have installed a new spring and charged me for the full call and I would not have known the difference. Like I said, honest and fair.
