J and A did a full removal and replacement of my two garage doors and openers. They performed quality workmanship at a fair price. Jose was great to work with. He was very informative and helpful when I was choosing the new doors.
I've been meaning to write this every since my Garage issue was corrected back in first week of September of this year (2023)! We've been hit with another life challenge and that occupied my mind so much.... Anyway, I just wanted to write this because Jose did an excellent job - I can't thank him enough! He recommended what door I should get and I, of course, followed his recommendation. And this door works like clock work. He installed a new garage door opener when he installed the new door (I asked him about which one I should get and sent him information on the one I was getting and he gave the thumbs up on it) and we've been very happy with the results. They cleaned up after themselves, carted everything away, kept everything clean - very professional, very courteous, very knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and just did a very good job, period! And at a very reasonable/fair price. And so, if you're reading this commentary, and you're looking for a new garage door installation, and a honest guy who will be straight up with you and tell you exactly what the issue is, and what needs to be done to correct your issue, J & A Garage Doors, LLC is whom you're looking for to do that work for you! Called J&A on Monday because our door was not opening/shutting properly and Jose came out that day to look at it. We needed a new motor, which he was able to put in next day (we held off for an additional day) and he just finished up. He was very helpful, friendly, thorough and informative. He also did a great job of communicating when he would be here and what needed to be done. I felt he was very honest and respectful. Very happy with the service and work performed and at a fair price. Bonus for me, the opening of the door is much quieter now. A previous company told us there was nothing that could be done about the noise. Thanks, Jose! We would definitely recommend J&A to anyone and will use them again in the future if we need anything!
After a frustrating week of dealing with a garage door that wouldn't open or close properly, I took a recommendation from a trusted friend and called Jose at J & A Garage Doors LLC. From the start, he was very knowledgeable and explained the process. I could not be more pleased with the result. The repair was much less than expected and Jose did a fantastic job of walking me through the repair. I will be be recommending this company to my friends and family.

Absolutely unreliable. Back in May I scheduled an apppointment 10 days in advance to have work done on my garage door. The morning of the appointment he call me and told me we would have to reschedule because he had to take his dogs to be vaccinated. I'm a dog lover and have 2 but not knowing this in advance is completely un professional. Again I scheduled and appoint 10 days ago for maintence work. This morning I receive a call and he tells me he has to take his children to school. So I ask what time he will be here. His reply "I cannot come today" So twice I have made appointments and twice they have not followed through as scheduled. This company is sorely lacking in professionalism and If you are looking for a company you can count on this is not it.
I called at 8am, Jose had my door fixed by 10am. Great service, fair prices, friendly, prompt, competent, and local! Will not hesitate to use them again!
Found J&A Doors while searching for a new Garage Door. Jose was quick to answer my message and quickly came out to give us a quote. I had been getting numerous quotes but with everything seeming to cost more now because of the pandemic I figured he too would be around the same price. B Boy was I wrong. He had a quality door and we were interested in windows for it as well. Everyone else was charging us way more for special glass or design. Not with J&A. His price was more then fair. He was able to install within a week, and was very flexible when we had to reschedule the install because of a delay on our end from another contractor that was running behind. Great communication and great family business ! I will recommend Jose and J&A to others, and will call them again for my future needs!
The pictures can speak for itself! Jose did a fantastic job replace our OLD garage door and garage opener. He installed all NEW hardware for our NEW Door. The NEW garage door and opener works fantastic! We decided to go with a belt driven opener. Previously, we had a chain driven opener. He also installed a garage door pad opener. Jose went throughly through the operations of the opener, he showed and tested to ensure the sensors worked properly. Jose also talked to me about the yearly maintenance about the door and what it entailed. He is reasonably priced for the quality of his work. The garage door, we chose, is built in Montgomery IL. I wanted to buy a door locally made and a contractor that was local. SHOP LOCAL!!! The door is insulated, which will help with the cold exterior temperatures. In the end, I would highly recommend using Jose and J & A Garage Doors for your next project because I will be using his company again on my next project.
