Google5There is a fairly small waiting area for customers in which there are a number of samples, posters and brochures for a wide selection of door types. Really kind of cramped. However, the sales rep who came out to talk to us made up for the blah first impression. He was helpful in all respects, clearly extremely knowledgeable even though residential was not his primary assignment at this time. We came away with a much greater understanding of the issues, both pro and con, for various types of doors and will be making an appointment for them to come out to measure etc so as to give us a firm quote. We have worked with Overhead Doors a number of times in the past, having them come to our home to work on door problems and have always been very impressed with them. That good impression continues still.

Google5I had the need for garage door service after the spring broke on one of my doors. I had a bunch of choices for garage door repair and selected Overhead Door Co. I made the correct choice. Their service is a shining example of what service should be. From the contact requesting service to the repair technician, I had 100% trust and faith with them. I never stressed about arrival time through the final bill. They are an amazing company to work with. Stop looking for anyone else and trust Overhead Door Company

Google5Kyle showed up on time and did a great job. Our repair required a conversion, that was quickly dropped off. The price was very reasonable and Kyle was very professional. I would highly recommend Overhead Door to anyone.

Google5Overhead Door did great work for us! Their work is honest and fairly priced. I also appreciate the fact that they are a local and family owned business. I recommend giving them a call for any repair and replacement needs.

Google5Saving some money I bought a used roll up door and installed it myself. When it came time to get an opener to work for it I was having no luck. Called these guys and they were great. Drove 20 miles and arrived 5 mins before they closed, they had everything I needed, helped me with all my questions and gave me plenty of advice to make it all work. Can't speak highly enough about their customer service, absolutely outstanding.

Google5We had received a bid from a competing Garage Door company for $900. They actually recommended we replace the door, too, for $3,000. Something didn't seem right. We have had a spring break in the past and they cost ~$250. Our door had a broken side cable, so $900 seemed crazy. I am sure glad we checked with Overhead Door. They came and gave us a free estimate and replaced both cables for $160. Straightforward and Honest. What more could we ask for?

Yelp5Great service and attentiveness to exactly the repair we needed for our garage door. Dale was our technician and though I never met him, he identified the problem on the spot, called in the repair and was back two days later fixing capacitor. Other garage door companies wanted to replace the unit which was totally unnecessary. Thank you Overhead Door Company of Lansing. Thank you Dale. Your my first call next time.

Angi5The tensioner spring to our very old wooden garage door busted. The door was installed so long ago that instead of having two springs, ours only has one. The technician was able to find a replacement which saved us the expense of having a bar and additional spring installed. Services Rendered: Replace tensioner spring. Adjust.

Angi4Took 5 weeks and the color doesn't match the house. A bit disappointed that the salesman didn't offer samples of the color options, because the one he recommended looks odd. Haven't attempted to contact the company about the issues because I'm afraid they will try to charge me more for a different color door. We plan to paint it in hopes that it will look better. Yelp5I called because I had a broken spring. The person answering the phone was friendly and gave me all the information I needed. The rate was reasonable and they said they could come out the next day. The technician didn't talk much but was friendly. Payment is due at time of repair but that's ok. They had it fixed within an hour. I have had no problem since. I would recommend again.

Angi5I called several places and it was a Friday afternoon, and I was backing out, I didn't hit the door with my car, but something I didn't have tied down properly, fell into the track and destroyed the track. I couldn't close my door. It was jammed in the open position and I have a lot of stuff in my garage that I couldn't secure.. I called numerous people and they said they could come out next Tues or Wed. I had hesitated calling Overhead Doors because I assumed it was Friday and they were probably busy. But I was desperate so I had to call them and it was around noon and they said how about 2 o'clock. I was stunned, regardless of how much they charged me, I was happy to just have someone come out and look at it in such short notice. Everyone knows they are number 1, they've got more experience on this stuff. Sure enough, the guy they sent to do it took care of it in less than a half hour. It was just jammed in a position that I physically couldn't get it undone. He took care of the whole thing and lubed it up and gave me some tips on how to make it last a little bit longer. He charged me $100, and even if that seems like a lot, I would have been happy at $200. But to get a call on such short notice, and he did have to put some materials in it. Part of that $100 was labor and some was materials. One of the large pieces was bent badly and he didn't have the part on the truck but he was physically able to straighten it. Services Rendered: It was an emergency repair.

Yelp1Have called and emailed several times to get assitance with garage doors. Finally got a straight answer, kind of.....They have only ever had one request from us, and feel we are shopping them for prices. Not accurate. We would love for them to repair/replace some doors at many of our rental properties. However, they do not respond to email or return phone calls. If you need quick dependable service, I would go elsewhere.
