I rarely write reviews, but Mike deserves 5+ stars. I am putting my house on the market and my garage door switch failed right before were set to go on market. I called Mike at 8 am. He answered very politely and asked what was going on. I told him the issue, and he first offered to help me diagnose the problem over the phone without a service call. When we were not able to troubleshoot over the phone, I asked how much Mike charged for a service call and found it very reasonable. Mike arrived at my house an hour later and diagnosed the problem. I asked him how much he would charge to replace the broken equipment and again, he quoted me a very reasonable price. He installed my new garage door opener, sensors and programmed all the remotes. Mike wrapped up the work, I paid him and he left. An hour later I realized that my outdoor lights near the garage were no longer working. I figured that it was related to the work performed replacing the garage door opener. I called Mike and he said although he doubted it was related to the work he performed that he would be happy to come back and take a look right then and there. Mike showed up and spent 30 minutes inspecting my electrical outlets and switches. Everything appeared in order and Mike asked me whether it was possible that one of our GFI outlets had been tripped. I located an outlet in my kitchen, switched the reset and my outdoor lights started working again. I was embarrassed for having called Mike out again for something that was completely unrelated to the work he performed. Mike smiled and said it was no problem at all and he was happy to help in whatever way he could.
If you are looking for an affordable professional who is honest and kind hearted, call Mike at Downright Garage Doors. He will not disappoint.
