    Logan is awesome and is very friendly, courteous and so knowledgeable about garage doors. He patiently answered my questions, and I was pleased he cleaned up when he was done.

    I called to report a cable problem. The spring was broken and needed to be replaced. Logan, the service technician showed up the same day. he was very professional and friendly. He even fixed some issues with the radiofrequency delay so the remote garage opener would work better. I was very appreciative of the service and would recommend Northland to anyone who needs garage door service.

    These guys are great! Why I love them: they come to Madison, they fit you in THAT day or the next, they are cheaper than the local guys , they are nice, they are quick, and they are good at their jobs! BTW, I've used them for 14 yrs: through cold busted springs to laying new doors and tracks. Thanks guys!

    The service was nothing short of amazing! We had a motor go out on an overhead door. They came out the same day and had us back in business within an hour. I will recommend them to everyone!

    The service from this company has been unbelievably good, enough so that I had to write a review to recommend them. The house I bought in Merrimac (in 2003) already had an automatic garage door, and thankfully it had the sticker on it for who to contact for repairs. Last year (2022), I had a chain issue and wanted to upgrade the motor, so I called the sticker's number and, sure enough, they were still in business and had my house's address on file from when the house was built in the 1990s. The engineer who did the new install (Cody) was very nice, and worked fast. Then, about 9 months later, I needed a service on the sensor, and they responded with a service call within a couple days (Logan), and he was also very nice and efficient, and fixed the issue right away. No charge! (1-year warranty) Then, without me even asking, they sent another guy (Garth) to do an improvement that I didn't even know needed done, and also at no charge because of the 1-year warranty. What I appreciate most about Northland Doors is that I've now gone 3-for-3 on excellent, friendly, and efficient engineers who've done the work. They must really put an emphasis on hiring quality people, and for that I say, "Thank you."

    Northland Doors was fantastic to work with. I explained to Bryan and Nate how I wanted to find a certain color and style of garage doors that would add to the look of our home and not break the bank. They didn't disappoint! Never would I have thought black garage doors would add this much curb appeal! We often have people drive by and tell us how great our house looks now!

    After explaining that the electrical outlet connecting the garage door appeared to be dead, and no breakers thrown, the person responding to the call suggested I had overlooked the RFI button. I reset the RFI and the garage door opener is again functional. They will be the first company to call if I have any other garage door issues (after I check the RFI). Services Rendered: Garage door wouldn't open

    Called late Friday afternoon & work was done on Monday. I had trouble with door a month before this & a part was replaced hoping this was the problem. When it started acting up again asked them to replace the motherboard which was done. Have had the door since 2003 so this is the first trouble i have had. Very professional. Services Rendered: mother board replaced

    The staff at Northland Door Systems were the best, they were very qualified with some of the best references. They showed us the variety and styles of doors available, the quality we expected and samples of each we were looking to purchase. Tough decision with so much to chose from, we found the color, style with window combination which was perfect for our home. With that perfect door and system they walked us through what needed to be done next. We scheduled an appointment for the measurements to make sure of a perfect fit, they would remove the old door and dispose of that (Great). Everything would be done in one day which for us was very important, so we ordered the door at that point. When the door came in we scheduled another appointment which was convenient for us. 2 days later we had our new door and it looks Great , we would highly recommend the staff & crew at Northland door Systems.     I've used Northland a couple times now and I'm super happy. The labor and parts charges all seem reasonable to me. The technician was very friendly and explained things well. He also asked at the end whether I had any questions about my garage door in a way that was really...like, sincere, like he gave me a second to think about it and would not at all have been annoyed if I actually had any questions. I'm sure I won't need them on this door again for a while, but when I do they'll be my first call.

    Had them replace our garage door. They showed up exactly when they said they would and installed it in less time than expected. It made a little noise a few months later and I called and they took care of it right away. Very happy with my experience with this company.

    Great service. Was able to come two days after I emailed. Pretty much did all communication through emails since I was unable to call. Our spring snapped and garage door was not working. Pricing was fair, service was quick and professional, technician even gave advice on how to properly maintain our garage door. Will utilize their service again.

    New door arrived earlier than I expected. All hardware and trim was replaced. Old door/track/parts removed and disposed of. New door is a dramatic improvement. Work was done on time at the price quoted. Would use again. Services Rendered: Needed a new garage door due to current one falling apart/rusting.

    I am impressed. I was able to schedule a prompt visit for an estimate to replace our two original garage doors. Our sales person, Dan Goodell, came out on time as promised and ran us through the various options and provided a price then and there. We had one other estimate to compare but Northland's was lower for better quality doors and custom hardware. With 50% down, we ordered our doors and were told delivery could be expected in three weeks. Given the hurricanes down south and the likely need for many replacement garage doors for those poor souls, I did not have our hopes up. But sure enough, to the day we received a phone call advising that the doors had been received and if the company could visit the next week to install. On the date and time arranged, they showed up and the work was completed. The quality of the work was excellent and their professional installer was a great communicator. More work on the framing was needed than they estimated. But the installer did it without complaint and on his own volition. Really, the quality of his work and attention to detail is excellent. I expected the final bill to be larger given the additional framing and work which was needed although it perhaps should have been caught in the first instance. Regardless, the company did not try to pass those costs on to us and we received the final bill for the exact balance originally agreed upon. Really, great job and I strongly recommend you consider Northland for your next garage door project.

    We own a Veridian Home that uses Wayne Dalton Garage Doors and we have lived here 10 and a half years. We contacted Northland as they carry Wayne Dalton and they confirmed that we could order a replacement panel instead of ordering an entirely new garage door. As "luck" would have it, the cable broke in the meantime due to rust--late on Thursday night, June 4. I sent an e-mail out that night and the next day, Northland called and had scheduled a service technician for the afternoon! Darren Lawver from Country Door Systems (a subcontractor who obviously helps in urgent situations), was wonderful. He explained what we could do to keep rust from recurring at the same rate--wash off the salt on the lower metal pieces as soon as winter is over. Darren also set the vertical track slightly above the cement floor rather than butting it, so water wouldn't puddle around the track and start the rusting process. He also explained an option for the future where the cable is enclosed and more protected. A job well-done. We are very pleased. P.S. I have nothing to compare the price, too, except that replacing one panel was certainly less expensive than replacing the entire door which is closer to $1,000 and up (and I received quotes from two different vendors who were priced competitively). I went for the more frugal and environmentally friendly (less in the landfill). Services Rendered: Replaced bottom door panel which had rusted along the bottom, plus two pieces of vertical track and the photo-eye brackets which were also rusted, and installed a new cable and two new rollers.

    Prompt service and friendly technicians. Reasonable rates, too. Cost to replace a broken cable today: $100 ($25 for the part, $75 for the service call). Regarding the service scheduler, she's not that bad. I've had to call Northland twice in the last 7 months for different issues with our 12 y/o garage door. My guess is that when you call for a garage door repair, they assume you want it done ASAP. When you call, you automatically get put into the queue and the scheduler gets to seeing if someone can come out that day. From experience, this is not made clear. You call expecting to make an appointment, but instead, you end up giving your name and address and are told you'll get a call back. But it's not made clear that the callback will most likely be the 45-minute warning that the technician's on their way. Since most people aren't calling for garage door repairs on a regular basis, learning the "way" Northland schedules and runs its repair service isn't something that happens quickly. All the times I've called for service, I've called them back out of confusion about the process and received the "we're working on it, we'll get someone out there today and will let you know when." That's not to say you can't specify a better time or day (I can't do afternoons and they handled that no problem ... still got same-day service). My general impression is that the scheduler is busier than all get-out and I don't take her brevity personally.

    Did not install handles to operate door manually when it would not operate electronically. Door broke 3 and a half years after installation. Called emergency. No one called me back for an hour. They did come and did a good job, but the price was horrendous because it was now on an emergency basis b/c no one called me back soon enough. Called again today (two weeks later) to have the handle installed and b/c the lining at the bottom of the door wasn't working properly. Agree with the Jasmine poster. The scheduler should be fired. She must be family b/c no one would keep someone who was as nasty as she is on the phone unless they didn't have a choice.

    A technician was sent out the same day as my call and I was not in a rush. The technician explained what needed to be done and helped me understand what needed to be accomplished. The technician had to come back on another date to finish the job, they were on time and completed the tasks in a timely manner. Services Rendered: Replaced pulley systems on both garage doors and provided me with a remote for one of my garage doors.

    Had pleasant, prompt call back from the weekend emergency line, who recommended waiting until regular hours if our garage door problem wasn't an emergency. When we got a call from the scheduler, she was noncommittal on time and asked how much notice we would need for the appointment. After dangling all morning waiting for confirmation, I called back to see if she might have an idea of our service time. The scheduler at this company was rude--told me "I said I would give you 45 minutes notice" and refused to provide more information. Depending on the outcome of our service, I may update this review. So far, it's been a less that satisfying experience. Update: Finally got confirmation at 3:45 pm that someone would be there around 4:30 pm. Although I did get a list of the serviceman's appts (TMI) first. When he arrived he was pleasant, efficient and got my garage door back in working order. If it hadn't been for the poor communication of the scheduler, this company would have received 5 stars easily.
