In the first week of August my husband paid half of an invoice for garage door installation. On August 21st an estimated install date was set for the week of September 11th for doors that were supposedly in stock. He got behind, that's understandable. He didn't show up until September 26th, installed the first door (incompletely I might add). Two days later he installed the remaining two doors. Received the second half of payment that day. 3 Days later we noticed that the seal was missing, and the first door does not open correctly. Since then we have called, texted, and emailed many times to try to get this job finished. We were given promises of "next week" months ago. Well "next week" has come and gone multiple times with no resolution. We're not ones to complain, but given the price of this job we have every right to want it finished correctly. I also want to add that when you're working at peoples homes, you probably have a decent attitude towards them. Buyer beware - do not pay until the job is completed.
Went with this door company for three large doors for my brand new steel building. Paid 5k deposit on 24k order in March of 22'. June 30th two installers show up and start install. Next day come back and complete what they say can do. The owner,Todd, then promptly requests remaining balance of over 18k be paid. I reluctantly pay in full with three doors non operating doors half installed. January 29th 23', 7 months later, I finally get Todd to my shop to finish. This is after many attempts to contact with only a sporadic text response. Never would answer or call back. He spends this Sunday afternoon fixing three doors he states are horribly installed. Leaves equipment till following Sunday. Sunday the 6th of February he arrives at 1:30 in afternoon to "finish". Monday morning I find i still have doors that do not function. Safety sensors not installed as he said I really didn't need them and a pile of parts left for me to finish. I question how was left and told will return after I do part of install myself. 4 weeks later a text stating will cost me extra to come finish. Also don't expect a wireless remote with a new door, stated that was not included. I should have spent the extra money for a larger company to do my install. This was an absolute horrible experience that now I still have to hire someone to finish install. Dennis Moraisey Moraisey Earthworks
I'm only giving one star. I called about needing my garage door fixed. I talked with a guy who said that he would try and get to me this week as my door is stuck and won't close. He said he would be in touch that same night or next morning. I've called him back and I have texted and was never called back. I was completely ghosted and they couldn't even give me a courtesy call and try and get something scheduled. Terrible customer service experience and basically didn't care. Not a good way to treat a potential new customer.
I went with coastal door company because of the several recommendations by different people. They did not disappoint. They were very courteous and professional. There workmanship was second to none. I was very impressed with everything. I love my doors and I highly recommend them.
Coastal door company does excellent work! My doors were Installed in a timely manner by knowledgeable techs. Doors came out looking and working great! Would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase garage doors, and or garage door installation.
Showed up last fall on 12/2/2020 to install our doors and had the wrong windows (wanted curved eyebrow type window section but got square). Now next summer and still waiting for the doors we ordered. Installer said the owner would call and it should be a couple weeks. Also, one door didn't have a top metal support required for use with opener on the existing one and the new opener was not what we wanted. Installation and price was good. It was Coastal Door. Or at least they are the company on the cleared check we paid with.
Todd provides exceptionally prompt service and a quality product for the lowest price. He advised us we did not need more expensive features as recommended by other companies. Highly recommend Coastal Door Company.
After calling a few garage door companies I finally got a quick response from Coastal Door Company. It was straight forward. I picked out what I wanted was given a time frame of when the doors would approximately be in and they would come and install them. The installers were very professional and explained everything. I had issues with the prior doors and they dealt with everything I asked. You can't go wrong with them.
