Google2Got a quote online and they said they would get back to me because there was parts needed. The never got back to me a week later I called them and then the quote was ridiculously higher then most. Did my homework and found a prize half of theirs for the same warranty.

Google3This review is being done from a few years ago so that's three stars and not one. I had gone here on behalf of the company I worked for to get quotes on shades, while a sales representative talked to I gave them all the information I had and said they would call with a quote, 2 weeks go by nothing, I call the sales representative and they had apologized said they would work on it but never got back to me. My company went a different direction (I no longer work there for them).

Google1If you ever need to have your windshield replaced DO NOT USE DOWN EAST GLASS - THEY DAMAGED MY CAR while doing the replacement and THEY ARE DENYING RESPONSIBILITY! NOT A TRUSTWORTHY OPERATION AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID SERVICE BY THEM. Management and the chump they have for a technician don't care about customer service, they want the almighty $$.

Google5Called my insurance company and told them I needed my windshield replaced. I was worried at first that they weren't contracted with Downeast Glass but they were! My husband used them a couple years ago and they were great. We were not disappointed this time either. They came to my work and replaced it without any problems, even putting my hospital parking stickers, EZ-Pass and Sirius XM radio antenna back on for me! Will continue to use them for all our glass needs and recommend them to anyone that asks!

Google5My back car window literally imploded this morning when I was scraping snow off the back window. I called Downeast Glass in a panic as a first time customer. First of all, Carolyn who took my call calmed me down and assured me that she would handle everything which is exactly what she did. She took care of the insurance paperwork with my insurance broker and then set up for Doug to come and replace the back window. He showed sooner than I expected. Doug vacuumed all the loose glass; replaced my window and in about 1 1/2 hours I was back on the road. As someone who deals in customer service, I was very pleased with all aspects of Downeast Glass!

Google5I had an excellent experience with this company . They had the part for my ten year old car in stock and did the job the same day I called for help. The installer who came to my home to repair my car was prompt, polite, thorough and did the job quickly.

Google5The price given was below the other companies I called and I received military and AARP discounts which lowered the price even further. The person, taking the information was very polite and accurate on delivery of a great windshield replacement. The installer called, before arriving, and confirmed the start time. The work was impeccable. Thank you so much for a job well done.

Google4I purchased a replacement picture window for my home in August of 2014. The installer told me that he had great difficulty installing it. It replaced an insulated window that had been in place for 45 years. In February the glass cracked, top to bottom on the inside only, one morning while I was having coffee. Nothing touched the glass. An inspector came out the following week. He reported that nothing appeared to have caused the damage. His best guess was that the house "settled" . He told me customer service would call me to discuss options. The rep told me that the crack did not fall under warranty as the house had settled. I told her of the installer's difficulty at installation and relayed that I thought that was the root of the problem. She offered to replace the window at cost for the glass with no charge for labor. Once the glass is removed, if it appears that a bad installation was at fault, they will refund the cost of the glass.
