THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER MAL-FUNCTIONED ONE WEEK AGO AND WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL. DUE TO ILLNESS(MINE), I WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT THIS MAN UNTIL 11/19/2014. WHEN I TALKED TO HIM ON THE PHONE, HE ADVISED ME TO CLEAN THE DOOR BECAUSE THIS WAS THE MOST COMMON REASON FOR THE DOOR NOT FUNCTIONING. I TOLD HIM THAT THE DOOR WAS NOT DIRTY BUT WOULD NOT OPEN EITHER WITH THE REMOTE OR THE WALL OPENER SWITCH. HE SAID THAT HE WOULD TRY TO COME OUT BUT THAT HE WAS VERY BUSY AND HE WOULD CALL ME BACK. HE DID NOT CALL BACK. LAST NIGHT (11/20/2014) THE LIGHT ON THE OPENER WAS BLINKING OFF AND ON ALL NIGHT. I CALLED THE PROVIDER (MARVIN MARNER) AGAIN AT AROUND 11 A.M. THIS MORNING. AGAIN HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS VERY BUSY BUT WOULD CALL ME BACK IF HE COULD COME. I HAD TO STAY HOME AND WAIT FOR HIS CALL ALL DAY (THIS WAS THE SECOND DAY I STAYED HOME AND WAITED FOR HIM TO CALL) THIS TIME HE DID CALL BACK AT 5 PM AND HE DID COME OUT. HE TOOK A SCREW DRIVER OUT OF HIS TRUCK, TIGHTENED A WIRE AND CHARGED ME 50 DOLLARS BECAUSE HE SAID THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND WAS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. THIS GARAGE DOOR OPENER WAS INSTALLED MAY ,2013 AT A COST OF $375.00. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROVIDER TO ANYONE. M.C. OVERHEAD DOORS WORKS IN NEW CASTLE, PA. AND HAS A NEW CASTLE NUMBER TO CALL IN ADDITION TO HIS COCHRANTON NUMBER.
Services Rendered: PROVIDER WAS CALLED TO CHECK A GARAGE DOOR OPENER HE HAD INSTALLED 5/04/2013 WHICH WAS NOT WORKING. PROVIDER TIGHTENED A SCREW.
