My garage door would not open and I needed it fixed. I called Metro Garage Door Co. and was able to get a technician to come and look at my issue in under 30 minutes. Phil was able to help me lift the broken garage door so I could remove the cars, and fully fix the garage very quickly. I made the initial phone call asking for help just before 2 PM and Phil finished everything and left by 4 PM. Phil was very professional, friendly, and polite. I tested my garage door and it runs more smooth than when I first purchased my house over 8 years ago.

We had our garage doors replaced today and truly do not have enough good things to say about this business! We decided to get a total of four estimates before deciding to go with Metro Garage Door. The pricing was very competitive and fair especially for the quality of work and wonderful customer service! Chad came out to give us our estimate. He was so kind and patient. He took the time to explain the product and understand our needs to set us up with the best fit for our home. Tyler and Cody came out today to do the install and they were wonderful! They were kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their products! From start to finish, every staff member has been a joy to work with and I would recommend them to any of our family and friends! Don't hesitate to call this wonderful company!

Excellent work, excellent customer service! Very good price, too! Thank you to Chad, Jim, and especially our technician Ryan! My garage door was damaged and needed to be replaced, but I had to grapple with an insurance claim, which of course takes forever... So... Chad came out and gave me a quote, told me what I would and would not need to remove from my garage before the installation, (because seriously, who wants to empty their entire garage if they don't have to?), and he understood that we would need to wait for the claim to be paid first. Metro Garage Doors was super patient, and Chad touched base with me while we waited for the claim to be paid, to make sure we were still on track. Once we finally ordered the door, Jim set us up with an installation date and let me know what would need to happen and how long it would take, etc. There were no surprises, which I very much appreciate. Ryan, our technician, did an excellent job installing my new door and trimming it out. It looks great and works great, and I'm very impressed. Hats off to him, because I have a little old garage (70 years) that, like virtually all little old garages, is definitely not square anymore (as you can see in the photo), and if you know anything about fixing things, you understand how much more challenging it is to work with an old structure or item than it is to work with something that's brand-spanky new. Ryan absolutely went above and beyond with the quality of his work, plus he's a really cool friendly guy. 100% recommend Metro Garage Door!

Sarah & Will were recently out to our commercial facility where they were able to get our outdoor security gate up and running in short order. They also took time to discuss how to get some of our older direct drive/jackshaft openers updated to be safer and more inline with the others we have at our site. Their quick response to get on site and patience in answering all my questions was much appreciated, have used Metro for many years and will continue to do so.

When I got home from work, I heard a noise that was not good coming from my garage door. The door had come off the track as a cable had broken. I called Metro Garage Door and within an hour and a half of my call, Sarah and Joe had it fixed and inspected and I was back up and running! They were nice, easy to talk to and work with and explained everything perfectly! Thanks Sarah and Joe!

We had an excellent overall experience with Metro Garage Door. We have two garage doors, each with its own garage door opener. One of our garage door openers pulled the header board loose and wouldn't function. We called Metro Garage Door in the morning, and they made room for us that same day in the afternoon. Paul was the service person. He has professional and efficient. He replaced the broken header board, reattached the bracket to the new header board, reattached the rail, and aligned the mechanism so that the door worked smoothly again. He then performed a 22-point inspection on each door. We noticed late that day that the door he fixed was making a loud vibrating type noise. We called Metro Garage Door to come and check it. No one was able to come the next day, but A.J. did come the next business day after that. A.J. analyzed the cause of the vibration, eliminated it, and did not charge for a second visit because it was "re-call" work. A.J. was also professional and efficient. Services Rendered: See above.

The young men who installed my new garage door did a wonderful job. They patiently made the necessary adjustments so I no longer have rain and snow coming in like the old door. They were so professional! In addition to the garage door install, they refastened a yard tool rack to my garage wall. It was so loose, I couldn't use it for years. Now I can!!!! I would have given Metro Garage Doors five stars, but for one unfortunate problem. They installed a new garage door for me in May, 2022. Their price was the same as other competitors and they were prompt, communicative, and friendly. The installation went fine, but the next day, my garage door would not close. To their credit, Metro sent someone out right away to look at it. He said that the issue was with the sensors (the photo eyes), which had been reinstalled from my previous door. He said the sensors were old and worn and needed to be replaced, but they had worked well and consistently for years until the new door installation. The technician speculated that it might have been a coincidence that they stopped working right after the new installation; to me, it's much more likely that they were damaged somehow during the installation. In the end, I was forced to pay for new sensors after Metro damaged my old sensors, resulting in this negative review.

With this business, I believe the technician performed a good job, however I have concerns with how their office handles questions. One of the door springs had broken and needed to be replaced. The technician called in advance of the appointment I received and showed up on time. After an inspection, the technician recommended that the cables were also in poor shape and should be replaced as well. Both the springs and cables were installed without any problems. One difficulty I encountered was that a day after the work was performed, I noticed a potential issue with how the cables were adjusted. I called back to ask about it, but the individual answering the phone was unable to identify whether I was seeing a real problem or not. I was not allowed to receive a call back from a technician to ask them, but could schedule another trip by a technician where I may billed again. I disagreed with this approach and was told they would check with a manager on what could be done and call me back. I never received another call. Services Rendered: Installation of new garage door springs and cables.

The previous garage door contractor tried to force me to buy a whole new garage door about 6 months ago, but Jordan, checked on the door and just took about an hour to figure out the problem and fixed it. My garage door stopped closing on a freezing MN morning. Metro Garage Door came to take a look, quoted us $610 to replace our LiftMaster, but could not do anything that day and needed to reschedule. When they left, I called another company, who was available the same day and did the whole job the same day for $350. When I called Metro Garage Door to cancel, they said I owed them $110 for a 10-minute visit where they did not do anything. In our previous conversations, Metro Garage Door failed to mention that we are paying for the estimate. So, the charge come as a complete surprise.
