It's not often that you need a garage door fixed. I live in Fruitport and after some quick googling I found MANY options for garage door repair. After reading through the reviews I noticed a trend that some companies reviews sounded similar/fake or selected in a way but I choose this company because the people leaving reviews seemed genuine. My door fix wasn't an emergency but they said they could accommodate it today. Holy cow they were here in less than an hour and had my issue fixed quickly after that. (One side was not closing all the way and was 4" higher on one side). Ended up being an easy fix for the repairman Alex but definitely a fix I would not recommend for a DIY with the spring mechanism involved. You guys are awesome and I would definitely recommend you to any of my neighbors, family and friends. As an added bonus they are a family run business which I love even more! Thank you guys and Alex is awesome!

- Our garage door stopped going down on a Thursday. - Saw these favorable ratings for Garage Door Specialists. - Filled out the "Contact Us" form on their webpage. - A cheerful woman called us within 2 hours, and scheduled Alex for the very next morning. - Alex arrived exactly as his colleague predicted, assessed the situation, and had our door working in 20 minutes. He took a few extra minutes to explain how the unit continually wanted to go "up" and therefore could not go "down." The unit kept hitting the safety stop bolt. The fact that Alex was so relaxed and willing to spend some time explaining what he was seeing and doing meant a lot. - The bill that arrived in the mail the next week was modest for the professional and prompt services provided. - Call Spring Lake's Garage Door Specialist for repairs or replacement!

Called for a small repair and Wyatt and Alex came out same day. Fixed what was wrong (what I broke actually...), replaced the weather seal, and even did some preventative maintenance on my behalf. Great service, fair pricing, and speedy response time. Don't try and fix it yourself, leave it to these guys. When it comes time for a new door I know who I'm calling...

GDS was highly recommended and I can understand why. The field service tech Alex took his time to diagnose my issue and made a repair rather than force me to buy new. He was knowledgable, professional and friendly. I am now a customer for life.

The spring on our garage door snapped Wednesday morning so I called GDS and Alex had it fixed by 1:00PM. He also made some adjustments to the door to provide better sealing with proper down force. Highly recommend GDS for all of your garage door services!

It was great- they did a beautiful job. The left the area completely clean- you wouldn't know they did anything. The work was completed within two hours. Services Rendered: We had to replace the whole garage door - my husband bumped in to it.
