Made contact with East Coast Overhead Door by phone and scheduled an appointment for them to come out and look. We've seen their signs around town and liked the doors they had installed. Our existing doors were wooden doors, about 40 years old and showing every day of it - to say they were unsafe is an understatement. We were looking for insulated steel doors, no windows and with carriage house hardware. Estimate was $3500- $4000, which is about what we expected for 3 doors plus the openers. Installation went pretty smoothly. The installer showed up right on time and worked all day, finishing around 6 PM. Holy cow, did he work hard! He was neat, very careful and cleaned everything up. I let him use some of my workshop tools to cut the stock for the door gaskets. When he was done he had me program the external keypad for all three doors, so depending on which code I enter I can walk up to the keypad from outside and open any of the doors. He also helped me set the HomeLink feature that is built into my car so I can open the doors using one of the buttons. We are overall very pleased with the whole experience. Everything went pretty smoothly, no surprise charges or delays. It now feels like a real luxury to come home and pull right into the garage, especially when the weather is bad. Getting the doors replaced made us feel like we got that part of our house back, since we couldn't really use the garage for anything before that. Brand spanking-new doors with the carriage house hardware also bumped up the curb appeal of the house too!
Services Rendered: 3 garage doors were replaced: doors, gaskets, tracks, springs and openers. All material from the old doors was cleaned up and taken away.
