I backed into my garage door while leaving for an appointment this morning. Not having had a reason to call a garage door service before I looked at Yelp where I found Doors and More. I called and spoke to Dale Church the owner. He came out to diagnose my problem before 2:00pm. Dale took care of it after a quick check. Wow. What an incredibly kind and responsive business owner! I was trying to fix my sister's garage door opener yesterday and happened to call Doors & More to ask about getting a universal remote. Dale, the owner, told me what to buy, where to get it and then said, "Call me when you get home and I'll walk you through how to synch the remote to the door." I was flabbergasted (I live in Philly and this is unheard of there.) Dale said he could come over, charge me $125 and do it for me, but if I was willing to FaceTime him he'd be happy to help. Dale was affable and patient; when the remote didn't synch he said, "Well, I have to go to my warehouse tonight. Tell me where you live and I'll come over." And that's what he did. Dale tried 3 or 4 other remotes and none worked, so he explained the motherboard no longer functioned and would need replacing. He was able to give us an appointment today, and his employee, Matteo, was just as kind, smart and sweet as Dale. Don't hesitate to call Doors & More for your garage door repair/installation. I'd give this business 10 stars if I could!
I got a very quick appointment with Doors & More to replace my opener. Mateo and Morris arrived on time and did a very fast and professional installation. Mateo's explanation of the opener's features was excellent. Highly recommend this company.
Dale was AWESOME!!! Our garage door was stuck open & off the track. Late last night, Dale came to our rescue & completed the job in about 20 minutes. He was punctual, friendly & professional!!!

Absolutely top notch company. I normally do work around the house myself, but when my garage door springs broke for the second time in 15 years and it was going to take 8 days to get the parts to my house (Amazon), I reached out to Doors and More. They came the next day, put in an upgraded spring system with 5 times the life span of the original springs for only 150.00 more than I would have paid for the original weaker spring and I would have to install them myself. Also, they fixed my wall mounted button opener that never worked, it was wired wrong from the builder.
I called Doors and More late in afternoon. Dale promptly came the next morning and fixed my door and key pad. Very reasonable charge. I would use their service again.
Going forward, when the job is something I shouldn't do or my time and effort isn't cost effective, I will use Doors & More exclusively. Dale came out the same day I called in. He quoted $85 for the visit. That price included coming out and adjusting the tension on both doors. He arrived promptly. Within minutes his recommendation was to make no adjustments. We discussed options for another 25 mins. There was no charge. The 1st door uses a spring rather than a tension bar. He thought there was a decent chance the spring would break when tightened. He also thought the tension was reasonable given the setup. The opener I installed is clearly sufficient to deal with the load of that particular door. The tension on the 2nd door was maxed out. The door rails are set quite high to provide head clearance when exiting the house into the garage. This forced the placement of the opener to clash with an i-beam, resulting in the need for a shorter track. Dale confirmed the better solution was a direct drive opener I had been considering. He provided a brief education regarding the building code and electrical requirements I must adhere to. In the end, I decide to do nothing for now. When I decide to take action I'll need to get an updated price from Dale with and without the reasonably priced electrician he has access to. Services Rendered: I was interested in having the tension adjusted on 2 garage doors. Also as a bit of a DIY'er, I needed a recommendation and pricing options for replacing an opener which requires a shorter than normal track length for one door.
