I needed a a couple garage doors after a hail storm, so I called Overhead Door in Watertown. The initial call went well and I explained what happened and we figured out what I needed, at least I thought we did. Not having a clue what it would cost, I agreed to pay half right away to get the doors coming, without seeing an invoice. I was told it would be about 7 weeks. About 12 weeks in I decided to call and see if the doors were in and I was told they are in they just need to find a time to install. I had no options but to continue to deal with he snow and rain blowing into garage. I was not given a tentative date at that time and was expecting a call in the near future to be given a date. About 4 more weeks pass, so I decided to call and ask how much would be saved if I installed them myself. It wasn't worth it to install myself in my opinion. I asked again when can I get the doors installed and was told next week sometime. They called ahead of when they planned on installing the doors and I was unable to be home at the time of installation but gave them the go ahead. When I got home to look at the brand new doors I found all new hardware and rails, which I wasn't expecting but I thought whatever that's what I get for not asking for an itemized invoice. looking further at the work done, I noticed that the seals that go around the opening were put on with sheet metal screws, not sure if that is the new industry standard but I have never saw that before. now time to pay the second half of the bill... It was automatically charged to a CC on the day the work was done and then again 8 days later. Not a big deal, I called and let them know of the error and was told a different office billed me and that they would look into it. Multiple weeks later and still no update on being charged twice on a $2,300 bill. Communication is sub par. I have taken another approach with a credible company to rectify this issue. I was called once I started a claim with my CC company and asked why I was fighting a charge. I reminded them again and I was told that it was Sioux Falls' fault (I don't care who's fault it is, I don't want to pay twice) this was several weeks ago and I still have not been called back. I would not use this company again! Hope this helps in your decision process!
